Palin tight-lipped on political future

(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."

Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

What David Letterman said was wrong, even though I do not care at all for Sarah Palin. However, if she is going to play in the political field then she's going to have to learn to roll with the punches. Just like everyone else in politics has to. There are no special treatments here. I don't think she's ready to be president due to the fact she bears way too far to the right. I think if she ran and would win the primary that the Republican Party would lose big time especially since everyone, except for the extreme right wing is jumping ship. It would be disasterous for them if she was the nominee. She has to learn to appeal to a more moderate crowd so that she can whoo both moderate Democrats and Republicans to her. Above all, she must keep that nit-whit Joe the Plumber out of her campaign and the others nit-whits like him. I suggest a Congressional run for her instead of the president so that she can learn better how the Federal Government works.

Why doesn´t this woman go away? If the Republican Party is basing their future hopes on this one, what a joke!!

They are following there current party leaders play book. Complain and whine about everything because the rep. party and Sarah Palin both need the attention. So when Rush gives her the plan she will i'm sure let (all ya'll) know it.

So the party leader Rush Limbaugh is training them well. Go GOP..

Those of us who think she's a breath of fresh air compared to the stale politics of Washington now ( Yes They Did and No We're Not...impressed! ) aren't tight lipped. Whatever she wants to do, she has a strong national base of support. All in due time.

    Palin 2012!

I am a republican of many years.I luv Sarah. She is a breath of fresh air. I am tired of the old big boys _ ie_ Romney, Ginrich, Huckelbery Hound, etc.

Imus was ruined as a result of what he said. Absolutely no repurcusion respective to Letterman. Typical of the left wing controlled media, etc.

Perhaps to get even Letterman should make a similar joke about Obama's children. I bet the media will go after his throat.

I can hardly wait to see the grand trouncing Hillary would give her in 2012–that right there would be worth the price of admission to the Jerry Springer show where she should announce her candidacy!!

Whenever Pallin speaks in public, she performs a valuable public service by reminding us why she should never be allowed to hold any office at the national level.

Cheers to Dave!! He 'dropped' the issue last night on his show. Sarah Palin needs to accept his explanation and drop the drama!
Letterman would never, never in a thousand years knowingly exploit a child for rape or abuse......PERIOD! End of story Palin......move on to something else.

Smart lady, this Governor. If she can keep herself in the limelight over the next 3 years (and the liberals by drawing attention to her and her family are doing their best to do so), I'd say she has got a darn good chance of being in the GOP primary; especially if BO keeps screwing up the economy and foreign affairs like he's been doing since being in office. The GOP will be back in 2010 and I betcha the WH will be winnable for them as well in 2012.

Go away Palin (Plain), the guy already apologised. Why do you like the media? I think you are taking it too far. Consider moving from Alaska to get more in the spotlight that you want – maybe move to Newyork. Stop making a big deal over this there are more important issues to listen to these days. And maybe consider spending some of your media time to help fix the Republican party which sems to have no clear leader.

Palin just loves for people to speculate on what she is going to do. If she wants to run for something it will only be laughs for the rest of us with a brain.
Palin calling anyone else's actions inappropriate is very funny. She is the epitome of poor behavior.

How many stories on the 'media-hating' Sarah Palin have we had in the past 2 days? Including re-hashing of original stories? Don't get me wrong now, I don't mind if she doesn't mind, but Jeeezus pleesus!!

  19. Republicans Are The American Taliban

If Sarah Palin intended to run again for governor in 2010 she would already be campaigning wouldn't she? After all the Republican method is the unending campaign. Sarah, please spend some time with someone who actually took Economics 101, and figure out how asking the federal government to fund a project for the benefit of private companies is not socialism. Didn't she just finish ranting about big government and how it's intending to control everyones lives? Guess it's better to have Exxon control all of our lives. and having the feds pick up the tab huh?Isn't that spreading the wealth around?

Robin: You're wrong when you say that Sarah Palin scares Liberals. She doesn't scare us at all. What scares us is the fact that there are people who actually take this woman seriously and who, despite all logic, sense and reason, actually think she could handle the Office of the Presidency. Open your eyes - no, make that open your ears, and really listen to the nonsense she speaks. Where's the intelligence? Where's the analytical thinking? Sorry, it's just not there.

  24. Amazing

This woman is a joke. The media keep her in the media and asking dumb questions. For example: Will you run for president?

Didn't they see her last year? She is not ready and she will never be ready. She is such an idiot.

I wish the media would just stop this love affair. Lets talk about another woman with some brains.

i'd be careful about saying Palin wouldn't stand a chance. Four years is a long time to go through Obama. He may do so bad even the Democrats won't win with HILLARY. You have to have excess brain cells to win. Even a computer when it uses it's capacity logs down until it stops. That's the reason for the teleprompter.
