Palin tight-lipped on political future

(CNN) - Sarah Palin told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday she's not ready to announce any decision on whether she will seek re-election as governor of Alaska in 2010 or seek the Republcian presidential nomination in 2012.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet," said the former Republican vice presidential candidate. "What I'm trying to get done for Alaska right now is to get that Alaska gas line built. We need those energy sources flowing through North America. That's what my focus is."

Pressed if she had made a decision privately about future plans, Palin said "No decision that I'd want to announce today."

In a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released last week, Palin was effectively tied with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as the top pick by Republicans for the party's 2012 presidential nomination.

I guarantee you that Gov. Palin will not run for re-election.!
My Alaskan relatives telling me she stands a high chance to loose. This not only would be embarrassing to her as a one-term Governor but it would also cast a shadow over her higher aspirations.
    Better play hard to get!

  6. Sarah the obsessed..

When a person responds in defense to every little thing (or people who are not even in office), it makes them look trivial and weak. If she acts this way towards comments from David Letterman, imagine how she responds to world leaders who actually want to get under her skin.

In this, she does NOTHING to help the female cause. She is only helping the stereotype of being emotional. She's pretty darn angry but not very bright.

I think she has a great future if she might leave the Governorship to devote her time to the promotion of abstinence-only sex education.

Her family is a shining exemplar.

Be careful making "Tight Lipped" headlines about Sarah Palin, you never know how she will take such language and will be highly offended. This woman has no leadership skills what so ever, I wish she would stay in Alaska and out of the public news.

I'm trying my best to reconcile to opposing forces: no-english speaking Sarah and the successful negotiation of a huge business contract....... and I just can't.

I am thankful she does not look like the typical liberal woman......She is hot. I can see why the libs hate her so much, they would like her to look more like Naplatono and Clinton. then she would be a real woman

  13. Cheney's mother named him "Dick" for a reason

If anyone should have the slightest hint of weakness to their character and integrity it would be Failin' Palin whose had so many of her lies and hypocrisies exposed she should be ashamed to even call herself a Christian or a woman. Show this family-peddlin' failed beauty queen the exit, PLEASE!

Any right-winger who thinks Liberals or Democrats are scared of Palin needs to get their head checked. Folks don't insult her because they're scared; they insult her because she's void of any real intellect and is in way over her head.

I hope she runs in 2012. If she wins the primary, it'll be another four years of someone other than Republicans, and that can only spell good things.

CNN's love affair with Palin is disturbing and disgusting.
In reading the blogs it is obvious people have no respect or support for her. Yet, you continue to give her undying, worshiping attention.
Has Murdock purchased CNN as you are resembling Fox more
    and more.

liberals are only afriad of sarah palin for the same reason communist feared gorbachev. She is reckless and stupid enough to bring down the worlds largest super power. That is the good part about being powerful is that you can only be brought down from the inside, like an incompetent king, chairman or in our case a president. I feel like she was the president leading up to the events in idocracy

This woman thinks by keeping her name in the press, she's going to get the presidential nomination in four years. She latches onto anything to keep the media hype alive. She's like a child. If you stop paying attention to her temper tantrums, she go away.

"I'm not definitely going to do anything yet,"
    - Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, read that sentence from your interview and see if you can find the grammatical error. It actually changes the entire meaning of the sentence. Kind of scary to think you might be signing anything on behalf of your State.

Please Sarah stay on and run in 2012. I can't wait to see your campaign go down in glorious flames as you lose pretty much every state except those in the typical GOP corner. Her constant whining about being picked on is a complete joke. She can sure dish it out but can't take it. And to Robin who says "she scares liberals..." Please get some new material. The same old talking points is a waste of time and effort on your part. We want her to run. WE WANT HER TO RUN. Can I say it any more clearly that her nomination would be the best ting ever in the world of sane politics?

@ LIP, who said "Nearly half of the US voters voted for Sarah Palin and those half find Letterman's excuse ridiculous at best and should start watching the show to see who they will boycott."

On that theory, Rush LImbaugh, who only has a listenership of approximately 20M...1/15th or so of the population...meaning something like 280M find him abhorrent...should be thrown the hell out of his radio booth post haste.

The only reason you all don't like her is that with BO you can be a leach in life, while on the other hand Palin would rather have you work.
