McCain should sell the car. Obama Motors and the UAW are going to put Ford out of business. Ford, while a good company, can't compete with a federally funded automobile company.

phoenix86, I disagree. I think you will see Ford flourish under private management while you see GM go the way of other government run transportation programs...like Amtrak. GM will never succeed. It will just be a dump for billions of tax dollars.

2. Ford did not need to be rescued, so we, the People do not own them.

Congrats Senator McCain! We appreciate you supporting our American Automakers. Is it really so hard for people on here to be happy for someone? It's not a requirement to say something negative about a person just because you didn't vote for them.
I would never vote for John McCain who is responsible for the Palin cancer that's been growing in America, but it's ok for him to be happy about buying a new car.

I'm with Sniffit on this one and you're off rambling about Obamobiles. Watch a GM commercial and get a clue! GM are keeping the good brands and getting rid of the useless ones. Not to mention with the new emission standards set in place to get 30 mpgs to every vehicle, it's a good step forward. I guess you're fine with the U..S. not having an auto industry.

I wouldn't say GOP's want gas guzzlers...that's like saying all obama supporters are ignorant....there's one or two with some sense.
Anyway, the batteries used in these hybrids put just as much pollution on the planet as do conventional gas engines. In addition, the mileage difference is not at a premium level just yet, to justify the increase in price. Honda was working with a hydrogen car...prototypes are sold in CA, I believe. We (conservatives) don't want pollution as much as the most liberal-squeaking lib; we just don't want the gov't trying to do anything associated with efficiency...or requires a certain level of competence. Now that OBama's in office, and lies through his teeth on every public speaking occasion...we really don't want the gov't involved.
Hey sniffit..check you facts..wrong aircraft..perhaps you would like to try landing on an aircraft carrier..it might actually give you something to do besides sitting at home and playing with your little toggle stick..the planes were a4 skyhawks
