Democrats pull in more than $8.4 million for May

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Democratic National Committee pulled in roughly $8.35 million last month, outpacing the $5.7 million raised by its Republican counterpart.

More than $8.2 million of the cash haul came from contributors.

The DNC also has more than $12 million cash on hand - roughly $9.5 million less than the GOP has in the bank, according to documents filed with the Federal Election Commission Friday.

So far this year, the national party has raised nearly $29 million. It still carries roughly $5.6 million in debt.

The Republican National Committee reported Friday that the party ended the month of May with no debt.

Who are these misdirected morons who are supporting the rnc? I mean honestly, only a person who wants to throw away their money would donate to the republican party. No person with a conscience can support today's republican party.

Everyone stop checking those boxes on your tax forms to donate a dollar to the campaign fund. They have enough money now.

Randolph Carter....I think you have your party mixed up. The welfare group would be the republicans. The democratic party is the educated and elite, remember

We are not concern about the raising of funds at this time. Lord knows the RNC need to establish their party period. The DNC has been working on America's issue and how to solve the problems we are facing. RNC has no clue on the issues or any solutions. So the point is money can't solve the RNC problems. They have no solution for the mess they have made for us.

well, Enlightened Voter, i support the RNC because I support freedom and unlike you and the rest of your DNC voters I have morals. We will take back the house in 2010, and the whitehouse in 2012.

LOL.......and you say republicans are haters. Wow, you people are all the same, DNC supporters, RNC supporters, you all have your blinders on to what's going on around you. RNC did nothing for years and let us drop off. DNC is "focusing on America's issues", yeah, and what a GREAT job they are doing. Jobless rate going up, stock market is stagnant, our deficit has gone up a record amount in a month period, Obama is trying to have government get their fingers into businesses, and we are still in Iraq. Yeah, amazing job. You people just don't get it. Just like the nice little bush followers, you follow like sheep. You ignore the facts. When will we have an intelligent government again? OH wait, we won't, with your DNC and RNC running the show. You people think Obama is some different kind of politician? Yeah right, they all care about one thing, money. Welcome to reality and stop being naive.

Ha, Ha, Ha! I love it, the GOP is doomed! Contributing to the RNC is like flushing money down the toilet. I hope republicans go broke contributing to the RNC.
