Secretary Clinton is an amazing woman. She'll be up and working again in no time. The biggest problem will be convincing her to rest.

Never been a great fan of Hillary, but the idea that her job could be affected by a fractured elbow is sexist and ridiculous. Let's have a little more responsible journalism.

It's pathetic how some of you took a medical story and injected it with irrelevant partisanship.

SOS Clinton will be fine.....She doesn't walk on her elbows.....Her brain isn't in her elbow......Her elbow will soon mend.....But thanks for your concern, CNN....

At least she won't be able to write "Over Charge" on the next foreign button she lamely hands out..

Isn't it fishy that Sec of State fractured her elbow, during the times when there is unrest in Iran and Nuke threats from N.Korea. Looks something sinister to me... Just saying.....

Mrs. Clinton is going to be fine! One of the best politicians we have seen in our history! She just had a sit down meal with all of the living Secretaries of State except Al Haag! I do wish The Secretary a speedy recovery! We are fortunate to have such a great person on the team!

WOW! must be a bad break to affect her work! I know people who have had broken elbows and they go right on with their lives and their work. Hope she heals fast and keeps moving that elbow so it doesn't freeze up!

And to all those who think GWB was brain dead – get over it! He's not the POTUS anymore – and we are still safe after 9/11. Be thankful! You're being just like O to keep blaming everything on Bush. What pathetic losers you are.

All the best to you, Hillary. You are doing a great job. As usual. Hope it will not be too painful.

@ Dave Burket – How can you talk about Bush on a Clinton topic? You have Bush hatred or liberal disease. I wish Clinton would spend more time in Iran or the Korean area addressing these issues.

Her biggest problem will be trying to get dressed and taking a shower. The rest will be normal! She can handle it!

As long as there is no damage to her brilliant mind, she will continue to excel.

If Palin could run as VP with considerable brain damage, Hillary can master her SOS responsibilities with a fractured elbow!

CNN, obviously has no news! We go to work with broke arms, legs, toes, knees, teeth and any other joint you can name every day. So what's the point in this article? The difference is we can't afford to not go, people like Hillary, who I have no problem with has been eating from a silver bowel since a child, so it wouldn't matter to her if she showed up or not, it want take any food off her table nor keep her from paying her bills.

How did she break her elbow? Falling off her broom? The longer she is out of commission, the less damage she can do!

Unlike every Democrat in America who at the very least wishes harm to Sarah Palin's entire family, I speak with every Republican in this country in wishing Hillary Clinton a speedy recovery.

"Does someone get fired for being sick or injured on the job. "

Yes - all too often! I agree the question of whether Hillary Clinton's elbow surgery will affect her job performance is ridiculous. However, if this question could be used as a catalyst to discuss the difficult situations that many workers in this country and around the world face when they are injured, then it may be worth asking. Never mind, America – please go back to fretting over the latest celebrity sex scandal and its oh-so-huge impact on your daily existence.

Doug, New Jersey, isn't assuming all us Democrats think alike a little small minded? Is that how ALL Republicans think? I would never wish Sarah Palin or her family any harm, ever, even thought I disagree with her politics. I even included President Bush's safety in my prayers when he traveled abroad, and I disagreed with just about everything he said and did. Now what do you have to say?

Quite the generalization to say that every Democrat wishes Sarah Palin and her family harm. I'm a Democrat and have no such feelings whatsoever. I wish Gov. Palin and her family the best. Just because I don't believe she's presidential or vice-presidential material doesn't mean I wish her ill.

And to further state that every Republican wishes Senator Clinton a speedy recovery is an outright lie. Sen. Clinton was correct back in 1993 about the vast right-wing conspiracy. It's still with us and now attacking both Sen. Clinton and President Obama, and it's still pathetic, just like the Republican Party.

I we were ounder universal health care like Europe and Canada, Hillary, being a politician, would still get treated the next day but us common folk would be like the military and have to wait 3 to 4 months for an orthopedic surgeon to be available. She can still do her job after surgery.
