NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - In two Oregon national parks, your taxpayer dollars are literally going up in flames.
PatRick Environmental is a small business that specializes in preventing forest fires. The firm recently landed a contract, backed by stimulus cash from the Recovery Act, to torch areas of Oregon's Deschutes & Ochoco National Forest and Crooked River National Grass Lands. This controlled burning will promote new growth and thin some trees so that unplanned wildfires don't become unmanageable.
The project is one of thousands being carried out across the U.S. that are putting stimulus money to work shoring up the country's infrastructure and generating much-needed business for local companies.

Gosh I feel so much better and enriched by this stimulus package dear leader foisted upon us. What an absolute idiot George Soros, ACORN and the unions literally "bought" the leadership of this country and are sure getting their money back.
I've worked out there. That place truly is the middle of nowhere. This truly is a Pork program. I'd be curious to find out just how much of our money they are spending on something so frivolous.

The government doesn't understand what stimulus means!! Throw money to the wind and see where it goes...........up in flames! More so called "Temporary" job creation that the tax payers are paying for. It's not job stimulus if the taxpayers are paying for it.

Thousands of projects? Give me a break...this is stimulus propaganda spewed by CNN to give unsubstantiated support to the failing stimupork package.
What's going to happen to these companies when the stim money runs out? The gov't doesn't turn a profit to replenish it's own coffers...it'll be another stim pkg, and another...and higher taxes in order to keep the DREAM ALIVE! Soon, socialism, and 50-60% tax rate for anyone that's employed.
Here in MA, the stimulus money is going for some REAL important projects.
On our divided highways, there's a new 2-foot square sign every 2 TENTHS of a mile telling you that you've gone another 2 tenths of a mile. This is in addition to the mile markers already on the road.
I don't know how we survived without this information. It's great to see out tax money going to projects like this.

12.4 Trillon dollars spent in bailouts since 2007, we are losing 600,000 plus jobs a week, how many jobs did this create? And for how long? A few months? It is better than a sharp stick in the eye, but certainly not a long term fix. And what are we going to do in 2011 when all of this bailout money ends? The American taxpayer will be left holding the bag paying this back for many generations.
CNN NEVER for once reported that taxpapers dollars were actually going up in flames when GW Bush was fighting an unjust & illegal war in Iraq for the last 8yrs; even when there were no WMD found and it was proven that Saddam was not part of the 911 attack!!!!

According to other reports, loan specialists, cost estimators, physical therapy assistants, construction workers, and information technology specialists are also in the mix of people who may stand to benefit from stimulus money as things evolve.
Just think if Obama hadn't given $900 million to HAMAS TERRORIST in the Gaza Strip there would have been $900 million more dollars that could have been used "shoring up this country's infrastructure and generating much-needed business for local companies."
