WASHINGTON (CNN) – The Richard Nixon Presidential Library will allow access Tuesday to about 154 hours of Nixon White House tape recordings and 30,000 pages of documents that were formerly classified.

Among the tapes and documents are conversations about the Vietnam War, Nixon's second inauguration, the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision and the first Watergate trial, according to a library statement.

The release Tuesday is the 13th opening of Nixon White House tapes since 1980, the statement said.

The new Nixon tapes and documents will be available on the Internet and the Richard Nixon libraries in Maryland or California.

Nixon was president from Jan. 20, 1969, to Aug. 9, 1974, when he resigned over the Watergate cover-up - the first president to resign from office. He was pardoned by his successor, President Gerald Ford, who explained to critics that the pardon was necessary for the nation to heal.

Nixon also was vice president under President Dwight Eisenhower, from 1953 to 1961.

Sadly, what Nixon did pales in comparison with the Chicago style thuggery that Obama is forcing on this country.

I pity the next generation of this country that is going to have to clean up the mess he leaves behind.

As if we didn't have enough current fodder to keep us divided, now we can bring back a flash from the past to re-open old wounds and argue over....again.

They are being made public to keep the heat off Obama for a few days. Obama must have something to push thru Congress without reading the bill. Maybe Obama is going to push thru a breathing tax.

I dont think I could sit through 154 hours of the kind of language that Nixon and his staff used. Hope it can be cleaned up some and put into something understandable.

Great news! It'll just bolster all current evidence that the GOP hasn't evolved in the last 35 years.

Cool, we can find out the similarities of the Vietnam war with the Iraq war... Both wars were based on a lie, Both wars were used to make profit, Both wars had millions of people dead, Both wars turn Americans agaisnt each other, Both wars were just... BAD for the economy and humanity!!!

Hey, how about a little mention on how a 26 year old Hillary Clinton, just out of Yale Law School, was selected to help the House Judiciary Committee investigate Nixon's scandalous behavior. She helped compile the evidence to bring the impeachment against him. He resigned before they could impeach him.

Amazing woman! Back in the 70s, it was hard for a woman (especially a 26 year old woman) to have an opportunity like that. So brilliant and not given enough credit by anyone. I bet if Obama had sat on that Judiciary Committee, he would have been given credit here.

Just a little blurb would suffice!
