(CNN) – A week after a high-profile uproar with comedian David Letterman over the late-night host's joke about her daughter, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is again sharply responding to the appearance of her children in the public sphere.
Palin's latest response comes after liberal Alaskan Blogger Linda Kellen Biegel doctored a photograph of the former Republican vice presidential candidate with her 1-year-old son Trig, who suffers from Down Syndrome.
Biegel, who blogs in support of the Alaska Democratic Party under the name "Celtic Diva," superimposed a picture of conservative Alaskan radio host Eddie Burke over Trig's face in an apparent effort to show how close the radio host is with the Alaskan governor.
"Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother's love for a special needs child," Palin spokeswoman Meghan Stapelton said in a statement provided to CNN. "The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling."
Stapelton also suggested President Obama should speak out against such behavior from liberal activists.
"Babies and children are off limits," She said. "It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned."
Responding on her blog to the uproar, Biegel said in no uncertain terms the doctored picture was intended to make fun of Burke, not Trig Palin.
"It's called 'Baby Burke' because it's Eddie Burke...basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor," she wrote. "So, connecting the dots for you...WE'RE MAKING FUN OF EDDIE BURKE!!!!!!"
Earlier this month Biegel filed an ethics complaint against Palin for wearing a jacket made by a company that sponsored her husband - a snow mobile racer - to a public event. An investigator ruled Palin had not acted wrongly and the Alaska governor accused Biegel "asinine political grandstanding."

I'm not a fan of Sarah Palin and never will be ... but this isn't funny in any way, shape, or form. Taking someone's personal feelings out on her child,ren is a low blow and completely unnecessary. Not even an ounce of humor in this or what Letterman said. When you start attacking innocent children, despite who their parents are, you have reached a level so low it's unfathomable!
Can someone just shut Palin up? She can't take a joke, she can't accept things in the real world, and she ruined any chance the Republician claiming any sort of sense of responisiblity or sanity. Someone just lock her back up in the freezer of Alaska so the rest of this country can go back to work. The constant meeting of our palms to our face interupts out attempts to recover the economy.
Gov. Palin needs to look inward because she put her personal ambitions first before her family. She used her kids as election props...now she's whining that someone else is using them for political purposes too. Sarah Barracuda presents the image of a cold-blooded mother who is neglecting her kids while she pursues her political ambitions. Her history is proof that she is willing to do,use, or say anything to get elected. Meanwhile, an unwed pregnant teenage daughter and a special needs child are essentially motherless. Hopefully, the Barracuda will come to her senses before the youngest daughter gets into trouble. Plus, Todd's too busy snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing to be bothered by family issues.
LET HER SCREAM! The more she cries out, the more she shows how much of a leader she is NOT! I love it – shes a total moron. She is a perfect icon of the radical right.....and the republican party.

While I think Sarah Palin should have kept her family business and its shame to herself, I am amazed at how vicious the Left has become. This is just a taste of what is going to happen to America when the Socialists headed by Mr. NObama and his ilk completely take over our country. The Left is full of Hedonistic, tasteless fools that delight in tearing down what it has taken us over 200 years to build up. I"m sorry to see it happen in my lifetime, but it is solely because we Christians have been sucked into the world's lifestyle and have failed to stand up in the face of deterioriation of our country. I doubt this will be a wake up call to anyone, but it certainly should become one.
Democrat or Republican or Libertarian or Independent... no matter who you are, this is a rude photograph and Palin has a right to be angry. But I can't help but wonder why she can call our President and his friends atrocious names on the campaign trail, compare him and his colleagues to terrorists, and call anyone who does not support her conformed world 'un American', yet anyone who strikes back at her is suddenly a sexist liberal jerk? Just keep her children out of it, and keep the focus on her.
Why doesn't she just ignore this stuff/ This is why she will never be president. Any person who is this consumed with themselves to the point of going after every slight is too dumb and petty to be president.
This goes beyond stupidity and this isn't about Palin, this is about people that think its alright to make fun of children. As a parent and person that is familiar with kids with special needs, we are a bit more sensitive towards this subject. How can anyone write something positive about this unless your not a parent or you don't love your own child. Peoples hate or dislike toward Palin needs to stop with her and just leave her family out of it. I can't stand Obama, but his Children are not the issue, therefore I don't speak negatively about them.

So you don't like pics of you and your family being doctored, but you were willing to spread lies about Obama such as 'he's pallin' around with terrorists'. Either you have honor or you don't, and you don't.
To paraphrase a real leader; If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Desecration??? ROFL!!! She has an awfully high opinion of herself. If I were a Democrat, I'd be praying she won the Republican Primary in2012. She is ridiculous. Instead of spending time getting familiar with international affairs or the intricacies of domestic policy, she jumps at any chance of fake outrage to keep herself in the limelight.
When a politician uses her family as props, it is difficult to claim the high road when an opponent uses the same picture.
When will 2010 Arrive so she is not reelected?
If palin doesn't like the attention her kids are getting then she should stop using them as political props. This woman has no ahame!
If you want kids out of political harms way, then don't use them in photo-ops. It's that simple.

Palin, Shut up. You gave birth to the kid. You use your kids in every way possible to further your political goals and gains. You made those kids public property. So, somebody doctored a photo of the kid. You put them in the public. You made them public property. If you don't want your kids discussed in the public, if you don't want there photos doctored, keep the kids home and out of the public eye. And what is the big deal about a "special needs kid's photo" being doctored. So, he's special needs. You had him. Keep him home and stop inflicting him on us and us on him.
It's about time for the Wasilla Imbecilla to stop playing the victim – she may be many things, but she's too calculating and cold-blooded to ever be that. Palin is most definitely sowing what she reaped – someone who in attack dog fashion riled up, fomented and refused to disavow hate (at least McCain disavowed it) at campaign rallies that practically became fundamentalist, extremist c lan rallies has to expect some type of payback in the big league of politics. If you're going to dish it out, you can't be too thin skinned to take it as well. This, of course, being the same unfortunate child who Palin risked by flying to Texas and back (with water broken) and then driving a long distance back home, and not bothering to stop at a hospital to see if all was OK.
I don't think Palin can stand the pressure of any higher Political Office. Good grief, she cries foul every time she turns around. Is this photo alteration tacky, yes but let it slide Sarah. You should have more pressing issues to deal with.
