Here comes the clowns – but he is probably no better or worse than any of them – none do what they say – only what is best for themselves!

I would love to see the look on O'Reilly's fat face when this happens. Five years ago, both O'Reilly and Franken were just a couple of guys with opinions. Today they're both still guys with opinions, except now SENATOR Franken's opinion actually shapes policy, while all O'Reilly's opinion does is get people killed.

Wasn't Sonny Bono a Republican Senator? Same with the guy who played Gopher on Love Boat. I mean when Bedtime for Bonzo and the Terminator can be governors and presidents, I really think a guy who devoted his career to political humor is much more qualified. And dog gone it people like him.

Thanks for your service Al Franken – i know you're gonna be great!

I *wish* his election meant a Democratic supermajority, but remember these are democrats – unlike Republicans they think for themselves.

more republicans just calling people names

i guess they still don't have any valid, factual things to say so they resort to name-calling.

I will agree to this point I think all of the GOP in Congress should take a drug test.

Really the GOP a party of no and no answers to the mess they put this conutry in.

I suppose you think George W. Bush was the greatest president of all time and an intellectual marvel!!!!

I've got news for you, just because you disagree with someone, doesn't make them an idiot.

Congratulations Al!! The Repubs tried to steal another election, but this time it didn't work. Just follow the wishes of the people of MN and you will be just fine.

Yeah and Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman are real intellectual giants! Franken has a math degree from Harvard and is likely to bring a great deal of fresh ideas to the Senate. I find it hilarious that people like phoenix86 think you have an idiot for a president. No you HAD an idiot for a president and he was a complete failure and his policies and actions hurt millions and millions of people.
