Here comes the clowns – but he is probably no better or worse than any of them – none do what they say – only what is best for themselves!

Congrats Mr Franken, The GOP haters will demonize you, but the joke is on them. The republicans will lose even more senate and house seats in '10 and '12.

Americans are sick and tired of the republicans negative and hateful politics that add nothing of value to america's economic plight.

It is really wierd that the GOP still doesn't get it. So they will continue to lose until they repent for thier nasty ways and basing thier political philsophy on a lie.

@ "Once You Vote Black" – WTH are you talking about? You are just rambling about nothing. Slow down on those medications that make you hallucinate! BTW, if you make fun of someone's name, please spell it correctly! HUSSEIN is the correct spelling of Obama's middle name and I LOVE IT!

Finally Al Franken will no doubt be the best representation Minnesota has ever had. Americans everywhere can be proud to have such a fine outstanding statesman such as Mr. Franken. A man who cares about the challenges the everyday working class American people have to face. He understands health care is important to the big drug companies and insurance companies, and he knows the kind of payment plans they intend on keeping on the sick and needy. Thank you Al for being willing to serve your country. It is great to know another Democrate has kept another republican in the place all of them belong. ( out of office )

    @Go Al! July 2nd, 2009 4:23 pm ET
I *wish* his election meant a Democratic supermajority, but remember these are democrats – unlike Republicans they think for themselves.
    -------------------
Cute, wrong but cute! Ask Mary Landrieu what happens to democrats who think for themselves! Thank you!

Say what you want, but he graduated cum laude from Harvard with a degee in political science. I'd say he's more educated than half the people working in Congress.

Im not saying anything about Al Franken that is bad, all I am saying is that I want George Lopez to run for Senator and if liberals don't elect him, then you are horrible racist....

  12. Nothing 'Stand Up' about Sen. John Ensign (R-NV)

With more Democrats and fewer Republicans in the Senate we'll finally get good legislation like the CARD (Credit Card Accountability Responsibility & Disclosure) Act, which stops predatory and abusive lending practices, and maybe, just maybe, we'll get something close to the House’s Waxman-Markey Bill, which proposes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 17% by 2020 and 83% by 2050 from 2005 levels.

We're counting on you Senator Franken!

Say what you will about Reagan and the rest of the celebrity politicians, but Jack Kemp was competent and capable regardless of how you feel about his politics.

I hear you phoenix86. Franken's also a crazed liberal marxist who wants to help Obama implement his socialist communist polices, which will destroy America as we know it. Let me go protect my six-shooter before Obama sends one of them liberal police to my house to get it.

And phoenix86, Obama is always smiling. Why does he do that? Where's his birth certificate? What's he hiding? Where's Franken's birth certificate? Our leader Rush Limbaugh will answer those questions for us.

Another clown joins the circus. Just what we need....another dumbocrat.
Hey dumbocrats......Your stimulus has been a 2 trillion dollar FAILURE just like your president. By the way, on inauguration day the Dow Jones closed at 8279.63. Today it closed at 8280.74. Way to go, Barry, your 2 TRILLION dollars spent bought us 1.11 points.

Oh my god. Wow their is a term that Frankobama doesn't know because he is without morals. Just read one of his books.

Now watch the Dem. destroy the constitution now. It's going to be Cap and Tax time. It's going to be the CZAR of fast food just kidding I think.

To everyone who thinks Al Franken is a clown, try reading his books, listening to his political analysis and take a gander at his policy statements.

He's an extremely bright, well-informed long-time policy wonk who also just happens to have a sense of humor.

I'm very happy the Supreme Court of Minnesota finally put an end to the ridiculous, whiny Coleman. Go get 'em, Al!

To Proud Member of Party of No.

As long as you are comparing the performance of the DJIA to term in office, please look at the Dow when George W entered office and where it was EIGHT years later. And also report on the BILLIONS of dollars in deficits that HE ran up. If you want to bring the performance of the market into the debate, do some homework on market performance under Republican Administrations vs Democratic Administrations, and please get back to us with the real results.
