So, basically the difference between a Republican and a Democrat when committing adultery is the Republican actually has to pay a price, where the democrat gets away with it. Clinton did the exact same thing and Democrats stood by and defended him. What a bunch of hypocrites! At least in the Republican Party, there are conservatives that actually hold their leader accountable and call for his resignation. Didn't hear that same call from Democrats when a Democrat was doing the same thing.

For David and the likes so ready to castigate and spear Sanford: How quickly we forget Monica-gate!!!

Though I disagree w/ Sanford's actions and feel he should resign, I felt the same about Clinton. Heck, at least Sanford came clean on it when confronted. Granted, more than we need to know, but nonetheless, he admitted to it.
Yet, Clinton sat there and looked Congress in the eye, and then the American public square in the eye on camera and LIED: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman!"
Yet, when a hue arose for Clinton to resign and the subsequent impeachment proceedings, Democrats circled the wagons around Clinton, saying his resignation was nonsense, then proceeded to absolutely trash and obliterate Lewinsky.
So, when Dutch/Bad Newz talks about the pot calling the kettle black, look no further than the mirror!

Ah yes, Karma...it will come around eventually!

I'm looking forward to the book that explains how 'Christian values' translates, for these conservative phonies, away from spending on serious needs of the most vulnerable, first. Case in point: Gov. Sanford's supposedly noble crusade to resist those evil 'stimulus' funds, which Congress directed be spent, in part, on his state's most decayed schools. There's a belt of American-Apartheid conditions along the inner side of the I-95 where the public schools are a disgrace to any decent society. Sanford's high-minded crusade that so aroused the GOP faithful was aimed at continuing those conditions. Where are the 'family values' in this picture? "Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto Me." A verse the conservatives tend to overlook . . . along with the prohibition on public prayer, while we're a-quotin' here!
