DNC reacts: Palin decision 'continues a pattern of bizarre behavior'

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Democratic National Committee immediately slammed Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's decision to leave office early.

DNC Spokesman Brad Woodhouse:

"Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can't handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down. Either way – her decision to abandon her post and the people of Alaska who elected her continues a pattern of bizarre behavior that more than anything else may explain the decision she made today."

You have clearly been influenced by the morality-starved leadership of the Democrat party. You can't recognize moral values despite your earnest efforts. No surprise, it is typical among Libs.

Palin was clearly not ready for the executive branch.

Another example of the Dem's new tone in politics. Wow, I guess this shows just how threatened they are by Sarah. Otherwise they might have had a classier comment or none at all.

Obama never finished being a us senator either. its not bizarre behavior to want to do what is best for your state– she was spending so much time defending herself against the unsubstantiated (and now dropped) ethics charges and her family from idiotic lefter wingers, she felt she couldn't do her job. I wish Obama would resign–no transparency, higher taxes, socialism and a HUGE debt that HE, not Bush has caused. You people who voted for his sure got change allright. We will be lucky to have a country left after this idiot is done in 2012.

I am anything but a Palin fan. Didn't vote for her, would never vote for her.
But I'm disgusted with the statement from the DNC. Nasty, and reactionary. Politics as usual on both sides. Some of us are very tired of it, whether it comes from Democrats or Republicans, liberals or conservatives. The responses are usually immediate: shooting from the hip without much thought, and certainly without civility.

Palin continued to make herself a target, because she violated the very conservative values that she claimed to stand for.
    – She stole from money from her state for her children's travel, and the ethics committee made her pay it back.
    – She still has to answer ethics charges about expensing her home, when she had the governor's home to live in.
    – She lied about spending money on clothes during the campaign.
    – She tried to lie about her husband being part of the Alaska Independence Group who wanted to succeed from the United States. – Her own teen daughter had lots of sex and got pregnant, and had more sex, had a baby' 'then' promoted abstinence.
    – Her grandchild's mother was arrested on multiple drug charges.
    – She has stupid public fights with anyone and everyone that is not under her control.

She is way over her head and needs to just get out of the public eye. But sadly, she will be spreading hate on FAUX News I am sure...it's the only place for her now.

Mike T, your probably right on the personal attacks and the hate. However, the left wing has the definate corner in this market. Look no further than the violence and hate by left wing nutjobs at the St. Paul RNC convention in 2008. You don't see conservatives turning cars over and starting fires in protest at the DNC convention did you? You don't see the continuous bashing of non-elected canidates like John Kerry or John Edwards on the scale of what Sara Palin has to constantly endure. Of course there is blame on both sides, however the scales tip in the extreme to DNC left in hate dept. I guess that's the only way liberals can get their point across, hate and violence.

Yes, Paul, I'm so sure she's stepping down to spend more time with her family. Not! She'll continue to be unabashedly predictable. Whatever the most sensational act possible, there she'll be. Just what we need in a Chief Executive. President? Bring her on, the comedians are already salivating.

Well, FOR SURE, if this woman were to EVER to become President of the United States, we certainly would NEVER KNOW what shoe was going to drop next!! I cannot for the life of me see why so many Conservatives carry this woman on a Silver Plater! She has no ability to relate to people, can only "read" a speech someoneelse has written, on a monitor (otherwise her speeches make NO SENSE), and seems to have a real problem taking advice from, or criticism from others! I would think when you were a Politician, you would soon learn and realize that the media and others will judge you and be looking at every step you take and listen for every word you speak! What did Sara Palin REALLY DO for the Republican Party and the election?? N O T H I N G!! The Republicans L O S T as a result of the poor judgment of John McCain to pick her as the VP nominee! I really think John McCain would have had a better chance to compete without her! SHE IS CARRYING WAY TO MUCH BAGGAGE!!!

Does anyone on the left realize how disturbing this repetitive pattern of personal attacks on Sarah Palin are to moderates and conservative Democrats? The Democratic party is behaving like an intolerant dictatorship now, if you don't believe in socialism or spending our country into oblivion then you're a traitor to the party. What appears to be transpiring is a pattern of behavior that many people of both parties find pathetic and disgusting. You hate someone for expressing what they believe best for our country? Even the focal point of leftist hate radio host Rush Limbaugh attacks the politics, not the person.

Keep it up Liberal left, I think you all are doing a great service to our country!

The DNC should be ashamed to issue such a scathing statement.

To say "she simply can't handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down" is stupid. She has handled the job better than most others could do. Could it be she is tired of the dems ripping into her and her family so much on a personal basis. It's one thing to attack the job she's doing, but all together another to make it personal for no reason at all than to try to get her out of the spotlight.

Now Sarah Palin can come back with a SLAM DUNK! She can now fight back in a wide open court, instead of in a back room.

The Court is yours Sarah? Let's play BALL!

    Rod Hammack,

After having Boehner as the House Minority leader, a man that has never said a nice word, about anything, you think Democrats are taking cheap shots.

Do you see any Democrats (politicians) standing up and screaming about Sanford like Republicans did about Clinton?

OMG, you republicans are the epitome of hypocrisy. And remember you bible thumper, God doesnt like hypocrites (Matthew 24:something)

    Neutralizer:

Did you ever take US Government in school? Did you not pass high school? If you answered a question like 'congressional representatives are chosen based on the size of the state' - you would have flunked handily.

Where did you get your education anyway?

One would think you should make sure you know your facts before opening your mouth. I would hope, if you're a Republican, that you'd have more intelligence than that.

Oh wait...that's right. Nevermind. Have a nice weekend, and don't play with fireworks, child.

Why would Palin leave that office so early if she was not in trouble in Alaska. This woman just does not seem to be able to time events that make her look better, the more she does and says the dumber she looks.

It seems like Palin did trade away her legitimacy for the ability to speak out on cable television at every chance.

The Dem's characterizing her recent behavior as "bizarre" is a cheap stunt. The politics of buzzwords proved unsuccessful for McCain and Palin, the DNC should remember that.
