Republicans react to Palin news

WASHINGTON (CNN) - The Republican Governors Association released a statement Friday in response to the Palin announcement:

RGA Statement on Governor Palin’s Announcement

Republican Governors Association Executive Director Nick Ayers issued the following statement in regards to Sarah Palin’s announcement today that she will not seek reelection in 2010 and will step down from the governorship on July 25th.

“While we regret the news announced by Governor Palin today, Alaska will continue to have a Republican governor through 2010 and we are confident the state will elect a Republican in next year’s election.

The RGA’s focus remains firmly on the gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia this year, and the 37 gubernatorial elections that will take place in 2010. We know that winning these races is the most important task facing our Party over the next two years.”

LMAO, she is an idiot! Never in my life have I seen such a farce! So she quits being a governor, she`ll lose in 2012 for sure, all she can hope to do is fleece the Republican Party during the campaign. GOP, wake up you`ll never win with sorry candidates you keep bring to the plate! You want to win, make up with Colin Powell and admit you were wrong for the past 8 years and let a real man lead your party to victory!

So...the 'Right path but not the easier path' to Palin is to dump her constituients who elected her, take a book deal, and basically thumb her nose at Alaska????
....And this person thinks she can take the pressure of being President??

Governing Alaska was relatively easy while the oil revenues were pouring in. The people of that state were very dependant on this money. Now that it has gone, tough choices had to be made, just like every other state has to. Governor Palin knows this, so she made the easy choice...Quit....There are probably dozens of Governors that would like to bail out on the mess they have..It will be funny to watch her start to steal the spotlight from Mitt and Newt and the rest of the "good ole boys"

To ANNIE, if you think Palin is honest then your ignorant! Shes a POLITICIAN....DUH, also is the biggest hypocryte thats come around in awhile. If ever elected she would try to enforce her version of what America should be and not applting that to her own family! She knew her daughter was having sex before she ever got nominated for VP but tried to cover it up! Shes a fraud in the worst way!

I am surprised that her party is not calling her a Communist, or Fox news saying that Sarah Palin (D) quit. What a bunch of looney tunes.

This narcissist didnt step down because she was hounded by the media she was a media hog....... Either she is crazy to think quitting now will help her chances to be the GOP nominee in 2012 or something is about ready to blow up in her face in Alaska. Either way good riddance the people of Alaska really have something to celebrate now

SUCH A FAKE–most people could see right through her and see her for the fruitcake she is. She has a maturity problem and needs to be seeing a psych 3x a wk. Did anyone see the show with the older girls boyfriend? His description of her was that she was "out there".

After Stevens and Palin, why would Alaska want another Republican in office? Lets just call it a win,win for the Dems in 2010. 🙂

Sarah Palin is no longer viable for the office of the President of the United States of America.By quitting her office and leaving Alaska in turmoil she has shown her contempt for office and the people of the United States.Who could cast a vote for her to be President if she can not commit herself to a place as small as Alaska?
