I wonder has Sen. Franken had the chance to sit down with Judge Sotomayor since he's on the Judiciary Committee.

Good luck, Sotomayor. The GOP grillin' is about to begin. The Repubs have had a series of mishaps, recently, and they are too eager to whet their appetite of vengence on somebody. Sotomayor is a sittin' duck, waitin' to be roasted.

Let the games begin! Wonder how many senators have already made up their minds: One republican couldn't even be bothered to meet with her.

What is taking so long? The Democrats are in total control and are doing what they want. They want this racist quota filler to be a judge, so do it and quit wasting our time and theirs creating a spectacle. Sotomayor has already shown she is NOT a good choice, but hey, common sense is not required for Democratic approval.

Just treat her like the democrats treated Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas during their hearings.

QUICK – let's confirm this racist latina before we get Universal Healthcare and Amnesty passed!!!

That way – when Americans file suit against our Amnesty plans ... we'll have a "friend" on the Supreme Court who understands the plight of poor poor undocumented immigrants who deserve full rights, healthcare, and all the other benefits paid by legal citizens!!

    (eyes rolling)

NEVER have I been so ashmed of my government and the apathy of many Americans.

Good luck to her and I hope she ends the bribary and fraud from the internet that goes on in court, since I have seen than enough of the cons people and companies do to nice people, and I hope the goverment enforces this in the entertainment industry, and I mean the whole industry beginning with music, then the other ones, and the news too, just as a pre-caution. Good luck to her, and they grill everyone for that job. It's boring but they do, if you watch it on TV.

Sotomayor's most highly publisized important decision proving her racism was overturned by the supreme court this weekend. She can't lose because the dems have a majority–but she can't be very respected by the other justices. just another Obama deck stacking technique to turn the country socialist. Where will the money come from for you hopers when all the "rich" people are cut down to size? The Govt only has so many jobs–and they won't be given to you.

I would listen to Mr. King. He should know about 'PEDIFILES',cause the Republican Party is 'FULL OF THEM'! You've got ditzy Sara Palin running around thinking she's going to be President some day,and Sanford embarrassing his family because he got some ass in Argentina, and Pillhead Limbugh hoping that Obama (and the country) 'FAILS'. No,in this case the national is serving its public. Where the national press 'FAILED' was when Bush and Cheney were pushing to 'INVADE' Iraq and they went right along with it. I would suggest that Mr. King spend less time worrying about the coverage of Michael Jackson, and 'MORE TIME' doing the job he was 'ELECTED' to do!

It is about time! This should hopefully put everything on track so she can be confirmed before the start of the next session.

Well at least those firefighters won their discrimination appeal before Sotomayor got onto the bench.

PS...How many jobs did Obama created today?

Maybe someone should bring Frank Ricci from the New Haven fire fighters so she can see if his life is as compelling as hers and worth fair treatment.

the national debt has quadrupled in four months and joblessness has risen 3 percent. All Bush's fault, right? Do yourself a favor, pal. Stop writing screeds in all capital letters and read a book, perhaps Road to Serfdoom would be a nice start.

Wish it had started today – maybe the stench and taste of the hate and ignorance spewed constantly about MJ and SP wouldn't be so strong.

I look forward to the current Republicans (not the ones from the 40's thru the 70's) getting on TV and doing what they do best, showing us what hateful old losers they are. If they live up to past performances, their bile and the current state of their party assures that they won't be sitting in those chambers after the next election.

  22. Steve (the real one)

No doubt, she will be a Supreme Court Justice. The real issue is what is gained by her on the court. Answer, nothing! She is s liberal who is replacing a liberal. No gain, no loss! One point of interest is her relative silence on te abortion question! She is Catholic, right? The question is just how Catholic is she??

I wonder if any senators on EITHER side of the aisle have the stones to ask her the tough questions. Doubt it.

She's not the greatest orator to come down the pike...

I am truely amazed at the ignorance of people.. " let's confirm this racist latina ..." How about looking at Hon Sotomayor creditials and merits. Really take a look at the speaches she has made.. Jimmy the Greek is just regirtating the Republicna rhetoric. Do your own investigation and stop taking someone's elses opinion as your own.. educate yourself and you will be a better person..

If one day and I hope not.. if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need assistance.. you will be thanking this government for stepping in..

Much luck to you Mr Jummy the Greek....
