[...] Karl Rove gets deposed.  Cool.  Was he under oath?  If not, why not? [...]

It's about time.

David Nelson   July 8th, 2009 1:49 am ET

Opps, that was meant fot the Palin article on Palin's polled vote share of Republicans, independants, and Democrats.

David Nelson   July 8th, 2009 1:39 am ET

That's, at best, around 40% of the electorate vote, and I can't see it getting any better than that.

Tracy   July 8th, 2009 1:10 am ET

Ah, Karl Rove under oath. Yeah, right.

Devon   July 8th, 2009 1:05 am ET

ya, that sucks. Rove ran around with impunity doing the bush's dirty work, now we are not privy to what he had to say about it?

Gene   July 8th, 2009 12:53 am ET

Well... since there's no actual details given.. there's really no reason to even have a comments section. But since there is.. I'll take this opportunity to comment on the story about the voting for Sarah Palin for president.

The headline is completely wrong! It should read "7 in 10 Republicans admit that intelligence is not important to them when in regards to who the leader of the free world will be"

7 in 10 republicans would vote Palin for president?!! Are you kidding me? Are republicans so stuck on the "Republican" and "Conservative" labels that they would actually vote this retard into the presidency. The movie "Idiocracy" is looking like a future documentary instead of a comedy all of a sudden :)

well then .......

I guess there'll be more later ........

sigh

David S. Robins   July 8th, 2009 12:37 am ET

Let's hope this is the beginning of his end. Of course, he is a very artful liar, so we can be sure he has done his best to avoid telling the truth. Nevertheless, he is both a criminal and a traitor and he must be made to pay the price.

Paul   July 8th, 2009 12:34 am ET

Hopefully due to the deposition we will know what this scumbag did. I have a feeling that once a lier always a lier.

Ricky ATL   July 8th, 2009 12:32 am ET

No get out jail cards this time, rove

Franky, Land of Lincoln   July 8th, 2009 12:32 am ET

You know, there's nothing really to make fun of Karl, yeah there's jokes all the time and so on but na'h, he's either too easy or too predictable.

And look, there's only like two sentences, the only thing close I can come with is the decline on further details, LOL!! :)

Did that reptile finally agree to take an oath for a change? Did he come into the room crawling on his belly?

Tanja   July 8th, 2009 12:07 am ET

...and CNN declined to give it more coverage.

Wow!! Justice just might be served yet!! And it couldn't have happened to a more "deserving", despicable individual......

sheba love   July 7th, 2009 11:39 pm ET

ahhhhhhhhh who are the real criminals

Dave   July 7th, 2009 11:26 pm ET

This man is treasonous. Outing V. Plame was an Un American act. Not to mention stealing the elections for GW Bush that gave us 8 years of lies and misery, not to mention another 5 or 10 years of depression and despair with our economy in shambles. Karl Rove is another on a long list of republicans that abandoned their principles and their country to Corporate America and the Religious Right. If I hurt my country like that I would want to crawl under a rock and die. Now comes payback time, we can only hope.

bozo the obama   July 7th, 2009 11:21 pm ET

as long as they have nothing better to do, let's get real and depose Frank, Dodd, PeLIEsi and Rangel. Be Afraid America, this change is something to fear.

Jefe   July 7th, 2009 11:20 pm ET

Karl – tell ya what- tell us the truth about Cheney, Bush, Wolfowitz, et al, and we won't find you guilty of Treason. Deal?

SHEILA SMITH   July 7th, 2009 11:10 pm ET

That is a wonderful finding! He should have had that done years ago. Thank God for that favor.

Water-boading? As we used to say on the playground "he can dish it out but I bet he can't take it"

AlwaysThinking   July 7th, 2009 10:52 pm ET

I hope he was under oath. It's about time this man was made to stand before a judge.

hypocrites_are_everywhere in Palo Alto, CA   July 7th, 2009 10:32 pm ET

In the spirit of transparency, more juicy details please! :)

Perhaps there are valid reasons but why punish an innocent man or give someone preferential treatment?

Mark Sanford, Gov of SC (when I feel like showing up)   July 7th, 2009 10:26 pm ET

I wonder what the final tally was on his invoking the 5th Amendment.
