(CNN) – Just over a week after announcing her intention to resign as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin's political action committee reports raising close to $730,000 in the first six months of the year.
According to a report filed with the Federal Elections Commission Monday, SarahPAC raked in $732,867 from the beginning of the year through June 30. The former GOP vice presidential candidate's PAC further reported more than $450,000 cash on hand with no debts owed.
The FEC report shows the majority of contributions, $420,000, has come from donations of under $200. By law, the PAC does not have to identify those contributors. More than 700 individuals meanwhile gave over $200 to the committee.
But Palin, who has pledged to spend her days out of the governor's office supporting conservative candidates, has yet to dig deep into the coffers for many candidates.
According to the report, the PAC has only made two political contributions this year: $5,000 to John McCain's Senate reelection bid and $5,000 to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's effort.
Palin's largest expenditure, just over $100,000, was to Virginia fundraising firm Edonation.com.

Democrats are just plain meanie and hateful people. They hate anyone who doesn't believe in their drivel. What made it worse they use words of Tina Fey, a comedian from SNL. How does it feel looking stupid now?
All you have to do to understand Ms. Palin's appeal is to read the earlier (7th) comment from "JoJo". JoJo is her kind of folks. They should be very happy together on the (lunatic) fringes of American politics.

You have got to be kidding me. If anyone thinks that Sarah Palin can beat President Obama, thanks for the next four years. Yes she can rally – but only to her base. She has yet to get any new people, and I highly doubt independents will vote for her. If she is going to do something, she better go home and read and study. She can't even talk unless her speech is written for her. I'm not a Palin-hater, but I know nonsense when I hear it, and if you think the United States is bad now, you just wait if by chance she happens to get that job. For all you conservatives, be fair and honest when nominating your next candidate. As the old saying goes, "be careful what you wish for because you just might get it."
Gee whiz ! She sure is capturin' headlines and is cornerin' a lot of cash in a captivating manner. For whatever reason one can fathom, she clearly can coax and cajole a certain class of people to sing with her in the same tone, and tune.
The Dems have had Ralph Nadar splitting the vote for all these years. Now the Republicans will have Sarah Palin. It'll be fun to watch.

SaraPAC or even Sarah Palin will not get one red cent of my money. A few month ago I was wondering what this SaraPAC was about. I went into it and was shocked to see that SaraPAC donations was going to Sarah Palin and her family legal fees. Major scam in my eyes.
She's a businesswoman, not a politician. It's time to cash in and enjoy life. Can you blame her?
