Palin PAC raises $730K in six months

Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, has raised close to $730,000 since the beginning of 2009.
Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, has raised close to $730,000 since the beginning of 2009.

(CNN) – Just over a week after announcing her intention to resign as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin's political action committee reports raising close to $730,000 in the first six months of the year.

According to a report filed with the Federal Elections Commission Monday, SarahPAC raked in $732,867 from the beginning of the year through June 30. The former GOP vice presidential candidate's PAC further reported more than $450,000 cash on hand with no debts owed.

The FEC report shows the majority of contributions, $420,000, has come from donations of under $200. By law, the PAC does not have to identify those contributors. More than 700 individuals meanwhile gave over $200 to the committee.

But Palin, who has pledged to spend her days out of the governor's office supporting conservative candidates, has yet to dig deep into the coffers for many candidates.

According to the report, the PAC has only made two political contributions this year: $5,000 to John McCain's Senate reelection bid and $5,000 to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's effort.

Palin's largest expenditure, just over $100,000, was to Virginia fundraising firm Edonation.com.

While the rest of us barely and sometimes fail to put food on our table due to HER parties ruining of our nation, she is rolling in dough.

When you look at the qualifications of Justice Sotomayor and Dr. Benjamin, one wonders why this woman is even given a second glance. Surely the Republican Party has at least ONE contender that has actually ACCOMPLISHED something in their lives.

CNN has a crush on Palin commending her earlier for having TWO speaking engagements in the next year.

Good job to Sarah Palin and her supporters, although your going to need another 30% of the electorate to support you before you even think about running for a national office!

All those under $200 donations were likely from people who wanted to see her run for president. I wonder how many of them would like their money back now.

So what is she going to do with it?

I suggest a new wardrobe. She doesn't have the stomach for politics. And I don't want to see her have a nervous breakdown.

As long as it's not my money, I don't care how much she got or raised. I don't donate to bigot politicians or the GOP.

All these Palin supporters are scary.. They talk about Obama and the Dems but still praise this woman.. Thinking of Palin in the WH is what's really scary.. Her lack of knowledge alone is reason enough to keep her away from the WH.

So if she's not running for President, what is she going to use this for? It can't be legal just to pocket it. Why did she initiate a huge fundraising push hours before resigning?

America is going down the tubes and the Party of No has idiots like this running the show! I truly pray that she disappears from the face of the earth but something tells me she will go away and receive a much needed education and come back swinging in 2012. I'm not worried that she could win, I'm just worried that I have to look at her face again. For some reason she makes me want to gag. She is one of the most agravatingly annoying people I have ever had the non-pleasure of having to stomach.

    jennifer,

Have you ever watched the "fox" network? If not, check it out and you will see plenty of hate, negativity, ugliness, nastiness against President Obama and his wife!!! It is funny how the conservatives talk about the Dems talking bad about Palin, but if you really check it out, the repubs/conservatives say just as many nasty things about Paline too.

One of the many problems with Palin is that SHE DOES NOT KNOW
WHAT SHE DOES NOT KNOW ! And she will never know.

Anyone stupid enough to give money to Palin deserves exactly what they'll get fo their dollars: nothing. Palin is unemployed (she actually quit the job to which she was elected), completely without substance and is riding this wave for all the money she can get her grubby hands on. So keep on giving her money, republicans. The last twelve years prove that you don't know how to manage it anyway. Thanks for wrecking our country. Idiots.
