(CNN) – Just over a week after announcing her intention to resign as governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin's political action committee reports raising close to $730,000 in the first six months of the year.
According to a report filed with the Federal Elections Commission Monday, SarahPAC raked in $732,867 from the beginning of the year through June 30. The former GOP vice presidential candidate's PAC further reported more than $450,000 cash on hand with no debts owed.
The FEC report shows the majority of contributions, $420,000, has come from donations of under $200. By law, the PAC does not have to identify those contributors. More than 700 individuals meanwhile gave over $200 to the committee.
But Palin, who has pledged to spend her days out of the governor's office supporting conservative candidates, has yet to dig deep into the coffers for many candidates.
According to the report, the PAC has only made two political contributions this year: $5,000 to John McCain's Senate reelection bid and $5,000 to Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski's effort.
Palin's largest expenditure, just over $100,000, was to Virginia fundraising firm Edonation.com.
I have to ask....what is it that you people see in her that makes you think she could run this country? Did anyone watch the Katie Couric interview?? I know the Right will say it was rigged with hard questions but COME ON...she wants to be in the White House not serving burgers at Wendys.
1) She couldn't name a single issue currently before the Supreme Court and she wants to appoint justices?!?!?
2) She agreed with McCain that the fundamentals of our economy were sound but couldn't tell you which measurements those "fundamentals" were.
3) She constantly tried to change the topic to "Obama is a terrorist" which had no bearing on HER credentials.
4) She fell apart totally on almost every question and then later blamed Couric for asking hard questions.
Soooo, I ask again. What did this woman do to make people think she could run the country? or is this a "question to no where"?
Levi is more rational than the s.p.
People, donate to him and he'll put it to very good use rather than THAT WOMAN....UGH
Palin: the person we love to hate. She is entertaining and knows how to keep herself in the spotlight. It's not that those who dislike her are afraid of her. It's that those of us who really dislike her can see her for who she is. She knows how to play towards the extreme right. She knows how to play them like a fiddle. She spouts hate and blame and morals and they eat it up. Palin is extremely uneducated in the economy, geography and politics but she is highly educated in how to work extremists up to a frenzy. Remember extremists are the reason the country is in a mess right now.
@Ed in Arizona
I will gladly make up the dime you won't give. Sorry you can't afford a donation.
The GOP, the party of tolerance?????
Right........................................................................ Don't think you'll get any takers on that one.

She will top Obama in contributions and she isn't even running for anything LOL
I really thing most Republicans really don't know their math. 6 month it took her to raise over 700,000 when in one day President Obama raised 1 million so I see you are just a stupid airhead supporter of Sara Palin. I see why you stupid people don't believe the ecomony is bad becasue you have money to donate to this Stupid uneducated racist dividing hatful woman that will never be the President of the USA.
Rich as rich can be, can't catch me!!!
Is this just CNN trying to balance-out all the Michael Jackson coverage? Really!... We don't need any more news about either the "Glitter" or the "Quitter". Don't care about either Bubbles or Todd. Don't want to hear any more about MJ taking pills or Bristol failing to take pills. We don't care about Prince, Paris, Trig, Track, Blanket, or Willow. We don't care if LaToya thinks Michael was murdered. We don't care if LaPalin thinks Putin is sneaking around her back yard at night.
I case you missed the subtle, hidden message: WE DON'T CARE!
She couldn't take the heat during this election, reportedly losing weight AND her hair. And people want her to be President. Unreal.
Almost forgot her support for the $700 Billion bailout and now she says she was against it???
Big Money?? Divide it out....thats only $4,000 a day!
By contrast..'Sham-Wow' is bringing in $5,000 a day!
It is very apparent the 19 year old young man knew what he was talking about. It is all abouth the money.
As a diehard democrat and lifelong liberal, I so want Sarah Palin to be the GOP nominee in 2012, I am sending $$ to her PAC.
This would be the defining election of my lifetime and would make Johnson-Goldwater loke like a horserace.
I can only imagine the aftermath of a 70-30 Obama landslide and a two thirds democratic majority in both houses.
I am giddy with delight
Doug, New Jersey July 13th, 2009 4:00 pm ET "With around 30 million liberal Democrats who want nothing more than to see her and her family killed, she will need a lot of money just for security. I don't wish what liberals want for the Palin's on anybody, expect maybe Osama Bin Laden, funny how the libs would not wish on Osama what they wish on Sarah Palin"
Doug, what have you been smoking?
Sarah is such a whiner that if she and her family were getting death threats she'd be screaming the fact to every news agency in existence. (oh, and I'm sure you've done your homework and interviewed 30+ million "liberal democrats" to support your statistics...like any credible analyst would....)
Considering the Obama debacle, Palin is on a roll. I'm an Independent who will support her whole heartedly! :)
Authenticity over sham and obfuscation is a winner!
good for her! now maybe she can take a nice vacation from all the lying, obfuscation and excuse making.
Doug New Jersey
Show me one quote or name me one person that ever said they want any of the Palins killed.
I assume you are Republican becaouse you all sure can spin words.
730,000K isn't much when you think how much Sarah Palin is going to need to do anything!!!!
At least she will not be drawing a salary while campaigning. All of us should re-visit "campaign finance reform and term limits" on all of the politicos. They are leeches whether federal, state or local. Oh, I am a Liberal, but have scoped out the Power People that keep us tearing at each other.
Waste of good money
the Rush Limbaugh Party is giving all their money to a quitter
If Palin is such a loser, why are people worried about her?
With Sarah Palin's outright surprise in quitting, all cash donations in the past 6 mths should be returned to the fool's who supported her!
Palin's intentions are questionable.
To those who think she is a threat, try really thinking. The money was raised in SIX months! It might last all of two weeks in a campaign. Besides, the quitter hadn't announced that she was leaving her post as governor yet. Let's just see how much she raises in the next six months.
Here's a thought. If she were elected to another political position, how long would she stay in that job? Just a thought!
Here's another thought. Stay home Sarah and take care of those children you are so protective of. Seems to me that a special needs child and a teenage mother sure could use a lot more mothering than you can give when you hop the globe making appearances. Hugs can't be felt over a cellphone or through an email.
