Do it. Please call him to testify about a plan to kill terrorists. You know those loser democrats won't make it a public hearing because all us in the military would love to see them horrified at the idea of killing Al Qaeda thugs.

Hugo   July 15th, 2009 11:27 am ET

Key democrat strategy, when the eyes of America are on you, create a diversion!

Kelby In Houston, TX   July 15th, 2009 11:22 am ET

The reason why Dick Cheney directed The CIA to withhold this informaition from Congress on this secret counter terrorism program is because
1. It was a roaming group of assasins answerable only to their Dark Lord and Master Dick Cheney.
2. I will bet you one solid quarter this "counter terrorism program" included torture amongst its practices.
3. The actions of this program were illegal.
4. It wasn't really a counter terrorism program as much as it was Dick's personal assasination squad. BTW, Osama Bin Laden is still alive and breathing the free air.
5. Dick Cheney doesn't really care about the law or the will of the people.

GI Joe   July 15th, 2009 11:22 am ET

He'll just claim Executive Privilege, or National Security, or just outright lie (believe it or not). Or maybe he won't be able to "recall".

Failin' Palin proves the redneck creed, "Money talked and Ms. Bu!!$h!t walked" away from the people of Alaska!   July 15th, 2009 11:21 am ET

Yes and little dicky will not be able to hide behind "executive privilege this time, he will have to plead the 5th!

Dutch/Bad Newz, VA   July 15th, 2009 11:16 am ET

Lock him up and throw away the key.

Chuck   July 15th, 2009 11:15 am ET

Give the Congress a chance at Chaney, then investigate him again with a special investigation. Find him guilty, which he is, and nail the creep, loud mouth to the wall.

Where Are You   July 15th, 2009 11:14 am ET

Where are YOU Dick....can't hear you ...a little louder !

GOP = Party of Tolerance   July 15th, 2009 11:13 am ET

Cheney will certainly be able to set the record straight by these nitpicking congresspeoples. He has already said that the President does not have to follow laws that he doesn't agree with. If the President does an action, it is therefore legal. Why is this so hard to understand? That is why we are a nation of laws.

Expat American   July 15th, 2009 11:12 am ET

Bravo!

Finally the USG will begin to practice some internal accountability in regards to the horrible actions of the Republican Bush Regime.

This is only the beginning of what is needed to repair the reputation of the United States in the world that was nearly irreversibly damaged by President Cheney and Bush the Paper Tiger.

Mark   July 15th, 2009 11:11 am ET

Indict Cheney and put him away like the war criminal he is... only in America can war criminals roam the streets and public airwaves spouting hatred, facism and isolationism... if this were another country, America would be the first one to call out other leaders as war criminals. The US is so hypocritical... stand up for what is right and indict Rumsfield, Wolfowitz, Rice, Cheney & Bush!

J   July 15th, 2009 11:07 am ET

Good!
But doesn't matter, we won't get the truth. I believe the standard answer from those guys is "I don't recall"

Larry   July 15th, 2009 11:06 am ET

If they put him under oath I'm sure he can add perjury to his list of acolades. Cheney's a pathalogical liar.

Disgusted   July 15th, 2009 11:05 am ET

He'll sit there and smirk his way through the questioning as he had in the past. If he does appear I'd hope CNN or C-Span will televise it. Being after the fact, the American public should know and hear what is said and how it is said.

Bobsy   July 15th, 2009 11:00 am ET

This is a great way for the obama Administration to distract Americans from his PATHETIC stimulus failure...smart thinking guys

Jefe   July 15th, 2009 10:59 am ET

Wow, that won't be productive at all. They'll get either "the 5th", or lies.

Randolph Carter   July 15th, 2009 10:54 am ET

What a joke. You have to be pretty naive to think they'll get anything useful out of Dick. Total waste of time. Have a nice day!

Henry Miller   July 15th, 2009 10:53 am ET

Having Cheney testify is truly pointless–he's made a career of lying and seems to be quite good at it.
