Someone need to tell the GOP Senators enough on the wise Latina. Get to the meat of the matter or vote and stop wasting taxpayer money.

What cracks me up most was the montage on Campbell Brown's show last night, making it look like Sotomayor was repeating herself over and over. DUH...the idiots asking the questions kept asking the same thing over and over...how about a little focus on that and the fact that political hacks making the hearings a study in redundancy is a waste of our time?

@ Luke Brown:

Did Justices Scalia and Alito merge to become Justice Scalito?

Judge Sotomayor , was magnificent in her opening round hearings . She let the (american) people see , how smart she is . 17 years on the bench ,is proof the President made a great selection for the (Supreme Court) She handle the (GOP) questions with authority and style, and showed she could go toe to toe the with retoric of the (gop). It is not about (race) anymore, let us judge the person by their qualifications, not by (race). She is an example of hard work and a great role model for all (races) .. (President H.W.Bush ) gave her his support, that was the dad of the second (Bush) and even appointed her to the lower courts. She was well prepared and showed .she is no push over. We are proud of you. Judge Sotomayor your day has come.

What happened when Janet Rogers Brown and Miguel Estrada were'nt confirmed? It was'nt because racist inflammatory statements like Sotomayer's. It was because they were nominated by a Republican. There is definite racist history exhibited by Sotomayer not only through her own words but also through her rulings. Do not confirm her not because of who nominated her but because of her past actions.

The"latina" comment was understandable. But it was coming from a latino woman minority who strugled unlike rich white boys who live in a bubble. The perspective is different, she has live and seen and experienced things that the rich white boy hasnt so obviously she has the first hand knowlege to make better decisions,

Can we approve this gal so she doesn't have to answer any more stupid, insulting questions?

Luke Brown   July 15th, 2009 11:12 am ET

She is very sharp. Anyone who watched her testify would be convinced that she will be a great justice.

The Supreme Court is the worst Court since FDR was President. I though John Roberts was going to be a real leader. Instead he just votes the Republican line ... anti-individual, pro-business, pro-Republican fat cats. The Court is fragmented, petty, and narrow, pretty much a reflection of Justice Scalito.

Knock them dead Sonia. The only relevant republican questions I heard came from Sen. Cornyn.
