WASHINGTON (CNN) - Missed some of the Sotomayor hearings?  Forgot to follow CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby – a.k.a. @HambyPCNN – on Twitter (as I advised yesterday)? Don’t worry. We compiled some of his best tweets in this round of "TwitNotes" (notes from Twitter):

(Read his tweets after the jump)

Sotomayor arrived. Wearing pink today. Here she is greeting her brother. http://twitpic.com/aj759

The A/C is still broken in the room! Argh. Kyl chuckles that "it could get a little steamy in here this morning."

Feinstein speaking now. It appears she is wearing seersucker.

A/C update: It's back on! Good thing. Was getting hot. I only saw 3 male reporters actually wearing their suit jackets in here.

Specter is so far less prickly than he was yesterday. Maybe he read the bad reviews.

Specter really, really, really wants TV cameras in the Supreme Court

Sessions did a hit on CNN during the break. That's Dana Bash and photog Jay McMichael with him after he finished: http://twitpic.com/aji5m

Here's a copy of Bill Clinton's letter in support of Sotomayor , entered into the record by Leahy: http://twitpic.com/ajp87

Leahy says recess for just 10 minutes. One incredulous (and hungry) reporter blurts out: "What?!"

Sotomayor's mother looks happy her testimony is finally over http://twitpic.com/aju5f (blurry photo warning)

Firefighters Frank Ricci and Ben Vargas holding in hallway next to hearing room before their testimony http://twitpic.com/ajvuf

Caught up with Sen. Hatch in the hallway. He still sounds undecided. Said he is "bothered" by her cases overturned in appeal.

Sack of manure will be appointed, sad.

it's hilarious seeing dumb politicians try to out smart a brilliant woman like sotomayor. its obvious she is much more intelligent than most of the people questioning her. It's to the point that Rep's are frustrated after three days that she hasn't slipped up once.

Question...are those "TwitNotes" or notes from twits? Is it really asking too much for information of substance to be on this blog?

The only thing the sotomayer hearing is is coverup for trying to sneak thru obama government rationed (no) health care & crap & tax. obama has a whole warehouse of the dime a dozen soto's. When one fails he will pull out another. She is no more no less than a cover!

Good thing this guy took a cell phone picture. Lord knows there wasn't much media coverage with any resolution today.

What has bothered me is the flagrant racism and sexism of the senators towards this nominee. Never once, during Roberts nomination, was he lectured down to the way Sen. Graham did to her. Equally, troublesome is the passive attitude of all the women newscasters and political pundits on CNN. Rick Sanchez was the first person on CNN to point out the inappropriate language and attitude of these 'public servants'. Hey
Republicans, you're just digging a deeper hole for yourselves. As a Democrat, I applaud your dumbing-down. Keep up the good work.

more stupidity.

was he carrying his blackberry prison style?

Twitter is just about the stupidest form of communication that I can think of. I can't wait until their PR budget dries up so I can stop hearing about it.

What is up with CNN's deteriorating journalistic competence? This picture of Sotomayor is about as low-res a picture I have ever seen in my life, even before the dial-up days. Why even post it? And, the article about Senator Sessions is taken out of context-in fact, the whole video and article is completely out of context-so much so, that it is difficult to tell what's the point of the article, it's even hard to understand what it is the people are talking about or referring to. This is the absolute rock-bottom of journalism that I have ever seen coming from any news source.

Harriett, DC   July 16th, 2009 6:44 pm ET

She's doing an excellent job. I can't wait until the hearings are over so she will have time to select her home, and move to D.C.

Things are looking up in the world.
