Sarah Palin tweeted Friday that her new, personal twitter account would be established later this month.

(CNN) - Sarah Palin says she's ready to be unleashed.

The Alaska governor, who is set to resign her post at the end of this month, took to the social networking site Twitter Friday to proclaim she's looking forward to being a little less restrained.

"10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site," Palin declared.

"I'll stay in touch w/whomever wants via personal twtr site; launch July 26," she also tweeted.

The former GOP vice presidential candidate announced earlier this month she would step down at the end of July instead of serving out the remaining year and a half of her term.

Palin later told reporters she intends to spend her days out of the governor's mansion traveling the country in support of candidates - Republican or Democrat - whose ideas she agrees with.

God help us. Tina Fay get ready. You have work to do.

skeptic1   July 17th, 2009 7:44 pm ET

this is a perfect format for her... about the level she seems to be able to handle, and she does not even have to spell correctly, perfect. what a joke! she is.

LMC   July 17th, 2009 7:44 pm ET

Because she has been so circumspect on keeping her opinions to herself so far!

Robert, Miami, FL   July 17th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

Ms Palin never began to use any restraint in the first place. For her to "unrestrain" her comments likely means veering off into more recrimination, "blame the other", the kind of communication foul-ups which everyone can see when someone else is doing it.

Ms Palin does not have the distance from the situation to see how she looks and sounds. If she blames the media or points the finger anywhere but herself, she will be seen... pretty much justly... as the author of her own difficulties. Like other Republicans right now she should try a little bit of mea culpa instead.

If she goes on unleashing reactions like this it's going to be seen as more evidence of emotionalism... it will tend to prove that she does not have the calm of nerve and the self-restraint for any higher responsibility than the one she just quit.

Jeanne H.   July 17th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

A Twit gone bezerk!!! Get ready to be twitted badly, Sarah!

Aunt Bea and Opie   July 17th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

Is it a bird,is it a plane,no its super twit.Shes like fly at the dinner table and even more annoying, thats why they keep her around, she sells papers as they say.

M. Jones   July 17th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

I love the fact that Sarah Palin annoys liberals – I look forward to her staying in the limelight!

Barack Obama   July 17th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

That's what happens when you elect a women to do a man's job.

john   July 17th, 2009 7:43 pm ET

Did you know that 93% of Down Syndrome pregnancies end in abortion?... She chose to give birth. Thats a women of conviction. And I'm not pro life.

Hear This   July 17th, 2009 7:42 pm ET

"I hope this means Sarah can start going after the media!"

That's funny. I hope she does, too.

We live in a wonderful, wonderful time. Technology really speeds things up, and whatever happens with "Champion of the Common People" Sarah Palin, hopefully it happens soon.

Man, this is entertainment !!!!

A lane   July 17th, 2009 7:41 pm ET

great we love sarah palin and do want her to go away .

S. Denice   July 17th, 2009 7:41 pm ET

Run on sentences and fragments are perfectly acceptable on Twitter. Stupid Sarah should feel really comfortable using that particular social networking site. I can't wait to respond to some of her dumb tweets.

Larry   July 17th, 2009 7:41 pm ET

I won't waste my time with it.....it's too hard trying to figure out what she is trying to say from the mangled mess of what was at one time complete sentences. And to think, this sorry excuse of a leader had a chance of becoming our VP. I'm a conservative at heart.....but I'll never forgive the GOP for choosing her as the running mate. What planet were/are they on???

Justin Time   July 17th, 2009 7:41 pm ET

WOW, Again, if you just ignore her she will go away. Anyone who cares about this woman needs to see someone about their mental health and IQ.

Gumby The Cat   July 17th, 2009 7:40 pm ET

Who does this person thinks she is? She was a VP candidate in a failed campaign, even Katie Couric slapped her around, she's quitting on her constituency and she still has the gall to think she matters one tiny bit?

Go away Sarah. You are useless... a quitter and a failure.

Ben   July 17th, 2009 7:40 pm ET

On behalf of the lower 48 (and apparently Alaska now too): GO AWAY!

Johnny   July 17th, 2009 7:40 pm ET

How is this news? I'm sick of this quitter already. She's on twitter now, big deal.

Michael   July 17th, 2009 7:40 pm ET

I never expected to see "restraint" and "Sarah Palin" used in the same sentence.

gm   July 17th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

"A little less constrained". So that means she's just going to tell bigger lies?

Moonbeam   July 17th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

It is interesting that Sarah Palin is always in defensive mode.
Actually, "pouting" will describe it much better. True stateswoman!

Rosie   July 17th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

If it had been a Democrat who left their elected office in the middle of their term she would have been all over them for being so irresponsible. It is amazing to me the double standard that she has. Watch out people her husband is a "secessionist". He believes Alaska should be independant and sell the United States it's oil and probably higher then the Arabs. She got herself into this mess and she wants the American People to feel sorry for her. She went to several colleges; probably changed her mind when it got tough just as she is leaving her elected office when it got tough. Wow, real Presidential material.

Gnar   July 17th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

Very presidential material... quitting her only real political post 3/4 of the way through the term and now getting ready to gripe on twitter like a 15 year old. I dare her to run in 2012.

Kay   July 17th, 2009 7:39 pm ET

Did anybody seriously think she was just going to go away?

We'll be seeing a lot more of her now. She's positioning herself for the 2012 Republican Presidential nomination. This is just the beginning.

Cassandra Washington   July 17th, 2009 7:38 pm ET

If she is traveling the country how is she going to keep in contact with the person or persons writing her book?

michael   July 17th, 2009 7:38 pm ET

"Sarah can start going after the media!"- with her pitch fork? stick a fork in her, she's done.

Listen up   July 17th, 2009 7:38 pm ET

Instead of covering her tweeting, CNN, why not cover the revelations about her religious beliefs and her affiliations with organizations that are plotting to infiltrate all levels of culture in this country and impose their version of Christianity on everyone?

sylvia   July 17th, 2009 7:37 pm ET

So she's just been faking it for her whole life I guess. Hypocrite.

michael   July 17th, 2009 7:37 pm ET

Wow, I'm sure it will be as exciting as Geraldo Rivera uncovering a dirty bottle of wine in Al Capone's vault. The gross narcissism of Palin and her ilk is hilarious. It makes for good political drama.

Marco the Pro   July 17th, 2009 7:36 pm ET

Oh, man... She seems to think in 140-character chunks, anyway. Twitter will probably seem just like home to her.

Her skin's too thin for this game she's in. It'll be just one more forum where she'll be eaten alive, but will she be able to sue someone on Twitter for tweeting how they feel about her and her nonsense?

Hmmmm.... She's using it like a media outlet, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Robert   July 17th, 2009 7:36 pm ET

I agree with C.K. – Who cares? Let her sit on her back porch and stare at Russia or give her a geography book so she can learn that Africa isn't a country. She's irrelavant!

Charlene   July 17th, 2009 7:36 pm ET

I love Sarah Palin. She is the future of our country. She has the blessings from the above.

Phil   July 17th, 2009 7:36 pm ET

Ready to sound off? someone needs to tell her to just shut up! I want my party back and the way to do it isn't by using a nice face with no brains!!!!

Michelle Marietta   July 17th, 2009 7:35 pm ET

She just can't SHUT UP....please do not give her anymore press coverage. She is just another village idiot.

M   July 17th, 2009 7:35 pm ET

For a brief moment, I thought the link read "Palin ready to sign off," not "sound off". Oh well... one can dream.

Terry   July 17th, 2009 7:35 pm ET

This might be the dumbest woman I have ever come across. As a mother she failed, as a governor she failed, as a V.P. candidate she failed, and now she wants to tell people what is wrong with America. She has convinced young women to have babies and forget that marriage stuff. She has convinced the folks in Alaska that she can not help them anymore. Now, she wants to president. Please, someone explain to this woman that she cannot see Russia from her house, and that statement make her come across as an "airhead".!

Matt M.   July 17th, 2009 7:34 pm ET

Go away Sarah...no one really cares.

ddj   July 17th, 2009 7:34 pm ET

Why does anyone give this vapid female any credence whatsoever? Will she never just SHUT UP and go away!! GAWD!

Bev   July 17th, 2009 7:34 pm ET

Ugh. This woman is a case if there ever was one. Would someone please tell her that her teeny bopper days are over and it's way beyond time to grow up. Name calling. Attention getting. Poor me, complex. Give it a rest, already.

Simmy   July 17th, 2009 7:33 pm ET

Tweets are sweet for her since all the words don't have to be spelled out......I'm so scared of her......Does this mean she is even more wicked than her first impression?

Former Republican   July 17th, 2009 7:33 pm ET

Let'spray she starts a third party for Fundamentalist Christians and other ultra-conservative whackos. I've decried the takeover of the party of Barry Goldwater by the fundies ever since Reagan. It has been an unmitigated disaster. If Palin can syphon off this religiouis element, the Republican party may be reborn. If not, the Dems will have congress and the white house for a century.

Mary   July 17th, 2009 7:33 pm ET

Hasn't she realized yet that she is literally the Typhoid Mary of the Republician party???? I do look forward to watching her make even more of a fool of herself....it is entertaining in a sick way-

Spiffy D   July 17th, 2009 7:32 pm ET

Dear Sarah – please continue on your path of insanity. You're a Democrat's dream!

Gus The Willie   July 17th, 2009 7:30 pm ET

Oh Boy! She is going to dig a hole she won't get out of. But what the heck, more Republicans can join her.

L Sharp Sarah: Go after...   July 17th, 2009 7:30 pm ET

Go after the media for what? Daring to report on what a complete idiot she is? She steps in it every single time she opens her thinly educated mouth. All the media does is point the camera and record.

Richard L   July 17th, 2009 7:30 pm ET

"10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site," Palin declared.

That should scare to death her supporters.

JR   July 17th, 2009 7:30 pm ET

She finally found a media that matches her jumbled and semi-intelligent mind. Twitter speak.

Karen Furman   July 17th, 2009 7:30 pm ET

THIS WOMAN JUST DOES NOT GET IT! She has no clue – which is very frightening.

People who do not " know what they do not know" are far more of a threat than people who embrace a subject and strive to learn all that they can about the issue.

Her 15 minutes are up!

JLS   July 17th, 2009 7:29 pm ET

Sarah Palin should spend her days taking care of her family. She is inarticulate and under educated to serve in public office. Can any one imagine Sarah Palin as President of this country?

60's survivor   July 17th, 2009 7:29 pm ET

this will me fun!!

john   July 17th, 2009 7:29 pm ET

To CNN: Please stop reporting garbage. It is absolutly sickening what CNN and other new channels such as FOX broadcast on daily basis. First it was about MJ for almost two weeks. Now CNN is running out of story again and reports about palin ( the idiot) again. I truly believe that one can obtain better news from comedy channel than CNN or FOX.

Good Lord! Who cares! She is a Bubble head, who is the leader of all bubble heads!

D. D.   July 17th, 2009 7:28 pm ET

She is getting into a money wind tunnel in the lower 48.

mflo   July 17th, 2009 7:28 pm ET

I love it. Every time this woman opens her mouth it makes her out of touch Republican Party look even more vulnerable. She is the best thing that could happen for DEMS. Quitters never prosper and Obama is guaranteed reelection if she runs in 2012. Now think about that while you are ice fishing Sarah!

Ginny   July 17th, 2009 7:28 pm ET

I am a democrat woman 88 years old woman I am disgusted with Levi Johnson look at mother being caught with drugs and arrested media didn't make a big issue CNN wake up to Levi he wants to make money on the Palin;s write about his drug related family

L Sharp   July 17th, 2009 7:28 pm ET

Does she promise to stick to Twitter? About 140 characters is all of her I can handle at a time.

Scary to think she believes herself to have so far been restrained. Wonder if she ever read "Elmer Gantry"?

Jim   July 17th, 2009 7:27 pm ET

Keep her talking and the media reporting. It reminds America how Republicans love -and vote for- idiots.

Joan   July 17th, 2009 7:27 pm ET

I agree with the "who cares!!!" This lady is an embarrassment and anyone who would ever think that she could ever be on the same intelligence scale as Obama needs to have their brain tested.

Erich Lichtblau   July 17th, 2009 7:27 pm ET

At first I thought, "great, she will do more to reveal her stupidity," then I realized that her fans won't see (understand) it anyway. Oh well.

dkr   July 17th, 2009 7:26 pm ET

What's the difference between Sarah's mouth and vajayjay? Only one retarded thing has came out of her vajayjay.

Katherine   July 17th, 2009 7:26 pm ET

Great! Her speeches read like a bunch of tweets strung together anyway. She's cut out to be a tweeter.

Billy Bob in the center   July 17th, 2009 7:26 pm ET

Please people, let's stop paying attention to this extremely unremarkable "politician".

mary   July 17th, 2009 7:25 pm ET

she will be surprised to find out that nobody wants her to campaign for them.
she will get what she deserves. Just stay in Alaska and stay out of politics.

katiec   July 17th, 2009 7:25 pm ET

Anyone running for office with any intelligence will not want the support of Palin. She ran one of the most vicious campaigns in the history of our country.
CNN, why are you not reporting that a health agency in Alaska has been put on hold by the Federal government due to numerous failures in taking care of the elderly? Why don't you check and see
if this agency, like so many others, is being run by one of Palins
high school chums?
Why are you not reporting another republican has bitten the dust
on unfaithfulness and is also a member of the C street republican
religion group?
Even you should recognize that all too often your reporting is
one sided.

Ron   July 17th, 2009 7:25 pm ET

If She becomes even less "politically correct" this is going to be quite a show. If the real Palin shows up, she may galvanize the right, but at the expense of alienating even more moderate/conservative Democrats, Independents, and Republicans. So be it!

Ryan Wing   July 17th, 2009 7:24 pm ET

So politically incorrect means she won't always kiss Republican's butts?

She's never been politically correct towards Democrats ...

DJByrne   July 17th, 2009 7:24 pm ET

I wonder if she is planning any traveling exorcisms.
I wonder if the Caribou Barbie doll will be out by Christmas.
Finally, I wonder if this babbling moron only has the support of 37% of Republicans, exactly how does this help restructure the Republican party. That noise you hear is President Reagan rolling over in his grave. We need at least a strong two party system and her 15 minutes has long expired.

Lucy   July 17th, 2009 7:23 pm ET

This is pure Gosh Darn Comedy, don't ya know? She's so undereducated I wouldn't let her around small children and sharp objects. Careful, McDoubleFailin, it's a mean world out there, you BETCHA!!!

JB   July 17th, 2009 7:22 pm ET

I would rather eat a roll of aluminum foil than to read *anything* about or from Ms. Palin.

Tristan   July 17th, 2009 7:22 pm ET

And the shenanigans begin...

MaryS   July 17th, 2009 7:21 pm ET

She going to quit the presidency as a lame duck?
Most likely.
She is a quitter!

John   July 17th, 2009 7:21 pm ET

For her Russian followers, she will shout out her twitts from her backyard!

john   July 17th, 2009 7:21 pm ET

Besides the non-news, you print this:
"... candidate's whose ideas she agrees with."

Doesn't CNN know better than using an apostrophe for plural?

Darren   July 17th, 2009 7:21 pm ET

Is Jerry Springer really going to dedicate a whole season to this woman? Perfect!

Seriously though, Sarah, do the centerfold and then go away. Stupid ain't cool no more.

CCook   July 17th, 2009 7:21 pm ET

I would like to hear what Sotomayor thinks, not what Palin tweets.
Palin's only strength is her ability to taunt and trash with a smile. She is still a bully looking for a fight and not what this good country needs right now.

Dave   July 17th, 2009 7:20 pm ET

Who cares about Sarah Palin? Oh yeah, 24 hour news networks desperate for any type of content, no matter how inconsequential it is, but generates reactions from both sides, that they can build some type of viewership around and sell advertising. Sarah Palin will be an asterik by 2012. Who would actually think this undereducated, unintellectual, quitter, twitwit is suitable to be President? God I feel sorry for the Republican Party to have to be rallying around something as stoogish as Sarah Palin.

m smith   July 17th, 2009 7:19 pm ET

And I suppose you will all cover this idiots twitters. Have we not yet had enough of her the jacksons ans and other really important stuff. Maybe you should go back to reporting real news. Give us all a break

Greg in Denver   July 17th, 2009 7:19 pm ET

Wait. She's going to become LESS restrained?! Lord help us.

Alex   July 17th, 2009 7:19 pm ET

Let me try and put this delicately so even Sarah Palin can understand. As a Republican and a citizen of this great nation, I've heard quite enough from Sarah Palin. Our nation wasn't built on quiters or political opportunists. Thusly, the chances of my voting for Sarah Palin is as probably as someone selling ice cones in hell! Simply put, not just, No. But HELL NO! Talk your head off, but I won't be listening. And people wonder why the Republican Party is splintered and all screwed up. One only needs to look at Sarah Palin for the answer. She is one of the main reasons.

Mark   July 17th, 2009 7:19 pm ET

Sarah uncut, uncensored, unstoppable! Palin 2012

Lilarose in Bandon, Oregon   July 17th, 2009 7:18 pm ET

Sarah, don't come to Oregon, you won't find any smiley faces here.

Russ   July 17th, 2009 7:17 pm ET

Let the liberals say what they will but Gov. Palin deserves to have her opinions heard. It is afterall a free country!!! And by the way cheap shots only serve to show the depth of some peoples moral fiber and character.

Mark   July 17th, 2009 7:16 pm ET

The problem with Twitter is that you can't put a cork in it. So, she's going to tour the country, probably in a Winnebago, and support candidates who's ideas agree with her. I didn't know Rush Limbaugh was running for anything. Perhaps on her assuredly totally awesome road trip, she can stop off at a few Planned Parenthood centers, so history won't repeat itself.

Sarah: Go after the media and call them out!   July 17th, 2009 7:16 pm ET

Just remember to progress your abilities, don't go again pointing the finger backwards and make sure you don't go with the flow like a dead fish.

You betcha.

Sarah Palin for President in 2012! The White House needs
intelligence & education...The White House needs John McCain &
Sarah Palin!!!

CCook   July 17th, 2009 7:15 pm ET

This woman just cannot help herself. She leaves Alaska high and dry after 18 months or so in office and she is on the celebrity circuit. McCain created a monster.

Jonpaul Duboccee   July 17th, 2009 7:15 pm ET

Ok, I am sooooo sick of hearing about how Sarah Palin is going to save the country in 2012. How she is going to bring us out of the darkness and spread joy and prosperity to us all. Her thoughs and views are surely borderline prejudice. She sparks hate umong people and doesn't feel ashamed about it. When will she get it that a gov. from Alaska is nothing more then a mayor anywhere else in the country. She is out of touch with the views of Amercians and can't even handle the job she was elected for (and you want me to give her the keys to the White House) not on your best snow boots! beyond her looks she is nothing but a shade darker then a blonde (with no offense to blondes) and I mean that in every way a sterotype can be.

Sine   July 17th, 2009 7:15 pm ET

I can't believe the media still reports on this dumb broad. I also can't understand how presidential canidate and palin could even be in the same sentence. I don't know what kind of canidates we have that they need Sarah palin to go and support them on the campaign trail.

Zero.   July 17th, 2009 7:15 pm ET

But the GOP will sqabbles themselves into unstable again When they should use her. Push her out front. Go on and win with her at the helm. But dare they?

annie for Palin   July 17th, 2009 7:15 pm ET

We will see come 2012 – Gov. Palin soaring in the polls and obama crying and whining like he normally does when things don't go his way.

RickRobertsPAS   July 17th, 2009 7:14 pm ET

Twitter is Sarah's new toy-she'll need more than 140 words limit for sure.

She's trying to help candidate's whose ideas she agrees with, I wonder how many of them will take her offer. After quitting her post as governor of Alaska and became a drag and liability to John McCain's bid to become POTUS ... only fools will want to have her in their campaign. You really want to be associated with a quitter? there...!

P. D.   July 17th, 2009 7:14 pm ET

"Less politically correct." Gee Sarah, the rhetoric you used last year in your failed VP. campaign was anything but politically correct..

joel palmer   July 17th, 2009 7:12 pm ET

Concerned American   July 17th, 2009 7:12 pm ET

Sarah Palin for President in 2012!

Palin was always a joke and will never rise above it   July 17th, 2009 7:11 pm ET

Mariana   July 17th, 2009 7:10 pm ET

She will be raking in money on the speech-making circuit, has a book deal, and is being courted as a national tv or radio "hostess", and if she can further inflame the frightened lower-middle-class mostly white people who are still "afraid" that Obama is a Muslim terrorist or some such nonsense, she will do it! The woman is an idiot, but exactly what the super-right want as a poster girl for their neocon values. Sadly, we have not seen nearly the last of her, I fear!

Stupid Sarah!   July 17th, 2009 7:08 pm ET

This is a pure comedy! This woman is so stupid and unprofessional there are no words to describe her. She resigned her post as the Governor of Alaska so she could open a twitter site? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of in my life. If she runs for President in 2012 it will be a pure gift to President Obama. She is stupid and anyone that supports this idiot is stupid also. Dumb idiot!

What's missing in all of this Palin discussion is the people of Alaska. Did they disappear all-of-a-sudden? What about polling the people of Alsaka to see if thier needs are being met? What is life like in populous cities and remote towns villages?

Sadly, everything has been about Sarah Palin's national aspirations instead of her performance of being an ELECTED REPRESENTATIVE for the people of Alaska. She is nothing but a self-centered individual with a penchant for painting herself as the eternal victim.

Sarah Palin/OctoMom/Kate Gosselin for Co-Presidents in 2012.

JVB   July 17th, 2009 7:01 pm ET

She has been restraining herself?? A piece of advice Sarah, it better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Opening your mouth has not been your strong suit.

Joseph Wolfe   July 17th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

why doesn't Palin go back to doing what she s good at...Pole dancing, Being a truck stop waitress, or whatever anything...just go away

chestercountyrants   July 17th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

I agree, quit giving her this media attention, there are more important things going on around the world.

james   July 17th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

Ready to sound off? Hasn't she been sounding off since we met her.
And, really, has she ever been restrained?
Maybe that's what she needs is some restraint.

cf   July 17th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

Good grief, Charlie Brown!!!! CNN - why do you insist on giving this woman and her infinite chatter air time, print space, and internet coverage?

Send her packing. We Americans sent her home to Alaska in the election because we didn't want another hairbrained idiot in Washington (Bush!!!) and figured we'd just send him home and try something new since what we had didn't work in any form except in murdering our kids, making a travesty of our economy, creating unknown depths of hatred around the world...

We don't need Sarah Palin. Let her go, CNN, and let's get on with the real news.

Royster   July 17th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

This is turning into a Reality Show that won't end no matter how bad the ratings! So she Twitters? So do millions of people, NBD. They probably have Twitter hooked up to Polar Bears too somewhere!

I look forward to the 'unrestrained' Sarah Palin (unrestrained by the office that, btw, people elected her to....?!?) turning into the exact 'not politically correct' kind if people that she has been disparaging for the last year! She has already made it clear this is some sort of 'Payback' coming.

Craig   July 17th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

sarah palin is a disgrace to public office and her existence in any position of power is should offend anyone with respect for themselves or our nation's governing bodies

If what we've seen from this idiot is her composed, PC responses we are in for some outstanding comedy. I love how her prosody never matches the logical flow of what shes saying during speeches.

Mike, Vancouver   July 17th, 2009 6:59 pm ET

The best way to get away from this crap is to not reply at all. If CNN does not get any responses they will quickly not publish ridiculous stories like this.

Denise   July 17th, 2009 6:59 pm ET

If she's leaving in a few days, why does any restraint matter now? Also, announcements about staying tuned are only self-serving. If she has anything to say, she should just say it. WE are not her children, and some of us resent being played like them.

KarlfromMD   July 17th, 2009 6:58 pm ET

Best of luck to the least qualified VP candidate in living memory. Hope you are the GOP nominee in 2012. We will send you back to Wasilla. Enjoy the spotlight after abandoning your own constituents. We consider you toast.

its good to know she felt the time was right to quit her job as a governor for more important ways to spend her time...twittering all day to lobotomized people and those that are convinced the world is only a few thousand years old. way to go, sarah! twitter away to your nascar loving fans everywhere!

Mitch   July 17th, 2009 6:56 pm ET

Yeah, she should go after the mains stream media....it's only the source of news for the majority of the country and a good fight will hopefully put this twit out of our hair once and for all.

NOBODY CARES WHAT SHE HAS TO SAY

J McNeal   July 17th, 2009 6:56 pm ET

There are still people starving to death in the world, losing their jobs, no idea how they are going to pay their mortgage and feed their families, still genocide being conducted in Darfur, terrorist acts all over the world and you really think we give a monkey's behind if Sarah Palin is tweeting?

Come on CNN, you are slipping!

Alex in Wisconsin   July 17th, 2009 6:56 pm ET

I guess lying low and out of the spotlight to devote more time to family is out of the question. I just hope the comedians and critics don't explode from all the fuel she will be giving them. And I hope her faithful followers don't resort to suicide once the Government filter is removed from Sarah Palin's mouth and fingertips.

Doesn't she know that we the people want to hear less from her, not more? doesn't she know that when she says stupid things, the media on both sides will report it. Just because Fox news will agree with anything a republican or neocon says doesn't mean that the people who point out the stupidity are biased. If the media has been so bad, fade away. If the media is just doing it's job, stand in the spotlight and make more stupid comments.

Kyle   July 17th, 2009 6:56 pm ET

"10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site,"

How oblivious to his/her future political aspirations does one have to be to say something as ridiculous as this? Don't get me wrong, I understand that all politicians "need" to skew the truth a bit to persuade overly-sensitive voters, but I don't think anyone has ever announced when they would be turning the switch on or off.

Joanna in PA   July 17th, 2009 6:54 pm ET

Only ten days until she doesn't have to follow those ethics laws. Oh well, she never did anyway. She is such a child. That is just what this country needs in a leader, a little immature cry baby.

Actually this is all part of her game. Parade the kids around everywhere, make a statement, than cry that the media reports it. As if she didn't want what she said to be in the media. Please people. Are you all that dense? It gets old. Its been old.

This latest comment shows just how childish she is. It is classic GOP style. We knew she didn't know anything about issues in 08, that is why Obama won. She proved that when she came out against cap and trade recently. During the campaign she was all about it. Really she was in an interview and got asked one of those got ya questions. Example" how do you feel about cap and trade" Sara, oh I support it. " really she was thinking: will you people stop with the got ya games. I just wanted to be a TV personality, but when that didn't work out, i went into minor league politics. Now i had a taste of fame and power and i want more!!!!

G.Kazmier   July 17th, 2009 6:53 pm ET

Palin is going to be much more influential as a free spirit than as the Alaska Govenor or Vice President candidate. I would imagine all the malicious fanaticals are choking right now and are getting out their WITCHCRAFT kits to figure out how to deal with this one. It's really hilarious that she can get under the liberals skin when all she does is re-inforce what most normal Americans believe in.

I think there are alot of people out there who are feeling pretty stupid and are having second thoughts on what they voted for.

Please, there is liberal media, there is conservative media. Sarah Palin has no one to blame but herself on how she answered questions and did interviews.

Take some of your own advice Sarah when you called out Hillary Clinton on her constant whining. Grow a thicker skin and stop complaining. It's getting very old.

We will not tolerate a despotic, tyrannical KING of America. Where did all you socialists come from anyway? You must be the pathetic product of today's public school indoctrination. The liberal elites attack her but the people love her.
She doesn't follow conventional wisdom and isn't afraid to speak her mind. In 2008 she aroused an adoring public with her charm and folksy manner. Now she has answered a higher calling to inspire and excite all Americans. While not the "annointed one" of the elites she has the people on her side and that's what matters. She is the girl-next-door type you would like to have over for dinner or even for a sleepover.
There is no doubt Palin is an attractive, charasmatic candidate and the frontrunner for 2012.

If she runs in 2012 I hope very democrat crosses the line to vote for her in the primaries so she wins the nomination. That would assure us of 4 more years of President Obama!

from the middle   July 17th, 2009 6:34 pm ET

How long til she quits this gig, too?

Oh please!   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

Will she EVER go away? Sara please go to Russia. Pretty please!

Ray   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

Yawn

joe   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

Actually, YOU'RE ALL WRONG!!!

S M R   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

Just sitting here SHAKING MY HEAD, simply lost for words.

JakeW   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

The Quitter on Twitter. What a sad commentary on the dumbing down of America, that there are people who can't see what a Jim and Tammy Faye-like huckster this nongoverning idiot is.

The Sarah Palin re-make of the Statue of Liberty:

Send me your money, you poor, you tired, you stupid yearning for
Britney.

GOPisDEAD   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

why would anyone listen to a person that has a 2 digit IQ???
Give it up Sarah... go shoot a moose ...

Jason   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

How old is this woman again? She sounds like a teenager.

David Newport, OR   July 17th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

the more you are seen out there the less chance there is for the GOP to recover...I say go for it girl

Dave in Houston   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

I love Sarah!

She's the key to the permanent Democratic majority!

MD   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

The fact that CNN sees nothing more important to report than Sarah Palin's incoherent twitter sentences is appalling. I guess it's just easy and simple – unlike REAL news like healthcare reform, the economy, and supreme court nominees – that would require some real journalistic talent, resources, and effort. Sarah Palin is a freak show and a distraction from what we MUST focus on! Please focus on issues that matter.

harold   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

Funny...lol

GOPisDEAD   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

WaltinAZ   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

Definitely won't be adding her to my Follow list. If the tweets come across as witty or insightful, she's hired a tweet writer, which I'm sure will surprise none of us. They'll be enough of the "base" admirers that follow her twitter page because they think she's hot, so that'll keep her "ego" afloat. Sarah, when you're a "Maverick" aren't you supposed to speak and stand up for what's right no matter what? Maybe she and Jesse Ventura can be tweet pals? (Love the LKL appearance, Jesse.)

Randy   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

Go away!!!!!!!

Too True For You   July 17th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

Oh goody. Another twittering twit. We are all waiting with bated breath, you betcha.

Steve from WI   July 17th, 2009 6:31 pm ET

Less politically correct than duking it out with late night comedians and bickering with a 19-year-old boy? Can't wait!

James Paris, Colorado   July 17th, 2009 6:31 pm ET

Crazy Harry,

looks like you need grammer help, my friend.

Ellen   July 17th, 2009 6:30 pm ET

Spare me.

Frank   July 17th, 2009 6:30 pm ET

Sarah Palin is so stupid and a poster example of the republican party as a whole, as well as the Blue Dog Dixiecrats. Sarah Palin needs to get lost in the northwoods and never show her face again!

LDF   July 17th, 2009 6:29 pm ET

Poor Sarah...the media is picking on her. If you are going to play the national spotlight game, the media attention goes with it. If you can't take the heat of the spotlight, then go apply to be an Ice Road Trucker.

Beth   July 17th, 2009 6:29 pm ET

This will be pure comedy to watch. I can't wait to see her crash and burn even moreso than she already has. Let the games begin!!

Political Junkie   July 17th, 2009 6:28 pm ET

The more Sarah can talk and twit, the better in my opinion, because then there will be no mistake about how uneducated and simple-minded she is!

Julian Cook   July 17th, 2009 6:28 pm ET

Really? Who cares? Never has someone's 15 minutes ever stretched out way beyond what it should. Thankfully she has managed to put herself onto the damaged goods pile by resigning. The quicker she is relegated to the political trash heap of history the better.

makesUwonder   July 17th, 2009 6:28 pm ET

Come on Sarah, the media sure dished the crap out now please go after your prey and eat the alive!!!!!!!!

errol phillip   July 17th, 2009 6:28 pm ET

not deserving of a comment.

sally   July 17th, 2009 6:28 pm ET

With this approach she is certain to tank any future political aspirations she may have. Twit away little twit -

bill   July 17th, 2009 6:27 pm ET

Please. Please. Please. Please. Some tell her since she will no longer be holding a political office, to just go away and shut up!

I thought that she left the governorship because she was fed up with politics. She may be fed up with politics, but she has diarrhea of the mouth.

Wideawake   July 17th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

Let's say it again, she's the best thing that has happened in years..........FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!!!!

Asian4Hillary   July 17th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

Sent donation to SarachPAC today. Way to go Sarah, you've done an excellent job as governor of Alaska, You've accomplished MORE in 2 1/2 years as governor of Alaska than other governors who served two terms. The people of Alaska are very grateful for your service.

Jonny Flash   July 17th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

Counting down the days until Sarah "I Quit" Palin is no longer my governor...

Really?   July 17th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

She was stupid when she was restrained, now I can't even imagine having her ignorance spewed without measure.

FEMALES FOR FEMALES   July 17th, 2009 6:26 pm ET

She can tweet me anytime. GO PALIN 2012!!!

Asian4Hillary   July 17th, 2009 6:25 pm ET

Anny   July 17th, 2009 6:25 pm ET

Does this mean she will Twit when it comes to face to face on camera debates, that should be interesting.......by the looks of her twitting above in this article, she twits about as coherent as she speaks........God I can't believe there are stupid enough people out there that believe this excuse for a woman is intelligent..........

Jeff   July 17th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

You mean she has been holding back? What does less politically correct mean? Does she feel she needs to be a racist to lead what is left of the GOP?

Jonny Flash   July 17th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

The article says "she intends to spend her days out of the governor's mansion traveling the country in support of candidate's whose ideas she agrees with" when she hardly ever spent any time in the capitol during her half term. She was too busy screwing us Alaskans over from her Wasilla home while collecting per diem checks.

Andrew   July 17th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

The last line of this story contains an egregious use of an apostrophe in a plural noun. C'mon cnn.

Kimberly   July 17th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

she puts the twit in twitter...womans a train wreck, I wish she would just shut up, but why would she with cnn having a love affair with this know nothing empty headed loon. God im glad she wont ever be president

SJ   July 17th, 2009 6:23 pm ET

Twitter, the perfect tool for her narcissistic personality disorder.

laurie   July 17th, 2009 6:23 pm ET

omg, is this woman starved for attention? What a golddigger!

malclave   July 17th, 2009 6:23 pm ET

@Chaco July 17th, 2009 6:08 pm ET

Heh... I make almost an identical comment on another thread, in reference to Obama, but CNN suppresses it.

Proof positive that CNN is just a mouthpiece for the Obama campaign. A comment that is perfectly acceptable about Palin is suppressed about Obama because you liberals are still down on your knees.

Well, sorry, I prefer to stand.

GI Joe   July 17th, 2009 6:22 pm ET

Palin/Limbaugh 2012 to 2014-1/2

can start going after the media!??   July 17th, 2009 6:22 pm ET

who ever posted this has a complex and needs to see a psychiatrist

the media is definately trying to make money and we tune in when Palin talks, not to be out to get her, but because we want to hear what dumb thing she says next

she sells papers and web site hits OR SIMPLY advertising dollars

no one is out to get her

Mase   July 17th, 2009 6:21 pm ET

Who cares. They don't make liberals that look that good though..

bam   July 17th, 2009 6:20 pm ET

Haven't heard of any candidates – Dem or neocon – who want Palin campaigning with them. Perhaps she could just send $$$ and keep a low profile????????

malclave   July 17th, 2009 6:19 pm ET

Wow, you liberals are STILL scared of Sarah... good to see.

Too bad CNN and most of the rest of "journalists" are dishonest and malfeasant, and put their political bias ahead of doing their jobs responsibly,

Al-NY,NY   July 17th, 2009 6:19 pm ET

This tw#t using twitter to tweet her brain-dead supporters? I can just see the messages..."hey there all you real americans. Fido here. Keep up the good work you betcha" zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sandra   July 17th, 2009 6:19 pm ET

I can't understand all the hoopla over Sarah Palin. she proved to be a candidate that was misinformed on all of the basic issues and a ruthless leader that took advantage of her role as govenor. This is something that the republicans seem to be quite good at, but at least they are good at something!

mike   July 17th, 2009 6:18 pm ET

May be by twitting she can avoid that hasty talk on television!

Anny   July 17th, 2009 6:17 pm ET

Sounds to me like she hasNO regrets about her Quitting her office and leaving the people who elected her high and dry......so she could get out there in the public and stay in the limelight........I hope she is ready for the press and media that is going to follow her every move and her every word.........and I will be taking notes as to who in the indepent party and the republican party that ask for her support ..... I think most of the republicans have seen her past performance and will want to stay clear of her

Len in Washington   July 17th, 2009 6:17 pm ET

I guess the "Never Ending Palin Saga" on CNN is going to continue whether their watchers and readers like it or not.

How about giving equal time to ALL the LOSERS of the last Primary/Election cycle? Remember? She's a "LOSER" AND A "QUITTER!"

Good grief..........

joe   July 17th, 2009 6:16 pm ET

can not wait for her to go away....Something she aught have done on Nov. 4th!

Jane   July 17th, 2009 6:15 pm ET

As long as she is not on the news, twitter till you can't twitter no more.

Michele   July 17th, 2009 6:13 pm ET

Please make it stop!!!!

Sarah: Go after the media and call them out!   July 17th, 2009 6:08 pm ET

I hope this means Sarah can start going after the media!

Chaco   July 17th, 2009 6:08 pm ET

A Twit and her Twitter

TangledThorns   July 17th, 2009 6:08 pm ET

I love Sarah Palin but I don't wanna get on Twitter because I'm on enough social networking sites. Sarah2012!!

Andrea   July 17th, 2009 6:05 pm ET

What a juvenile comment. Trailer Trash Tweeting here we go.

Katie   July 17th, 2009 6:04 pm ET

Good god, does ANYONE CARE anymore? CNN, quit giving her the airtime she's so obviously clawing desperately for and get back to reporting the real news.

Crazy Harry   July 17th, 2009 6:04 pm ET

Twitter the perfect forum for someone who can't string together a coherent thought.

C.K.   July 17th, 2009 6:03 pm ET

Who cares!
