Ms Palin never began to use any restraint in the first place. For her to "unrestrain" her comments likely means veering off into more recrimination, "blame the other", the kind of communication foul-ups which everyone can see when someone else is doing it.

Ms Palin does not have the distance from the situation to see how she looks and sounds. If she blames the media or points the finger anywhere but herself, she will be seen... pretty much justly... as the author of her own difficulties. Like other Republicans right now she should try a little bit of mea culpa instead.

If she goes on unleashing reactions like this it's going to be seen as more evidence of emotionalism... it will tend to prove that she does not have the calm of nerve and the self-restraint for any higher responsibility than the one she just quit.

If it had been a Democrat who left their elected office in the middle of their term she would have been all over them for being so irresponsible. It is amazing to me the double standard that she has. Watch out people her husband is a "secessionist". He believes Alaska should be independant and sell the United States it's oil and probably higher then the Arabs. She got herself into this mess and she wants the American People to feel sorry for her. She went to several colleges; probably changed her mind when it got tough just as she is leaving her elected office when it got tough. Wow, real Presidential material.

This might be the dumbest woman I have ever come across. As a mother she failed, as a governor she failed, as a V.P. candidate she failed, and now she wants to tell people what is wrong with America. To CNN: Please stop reporting garbage. It is absolutly sickening what CNN and other new channels such as FOX broadcast on daily basis. First it was about MJ for almost two weeks. Now CNN is running out of story again and reports about palin ( the idiot) again. I truly believe that one can obtain better news from comedy channel than CNN or FOX.
