WASHINGTON (CNN) – The Democratic National Committee is blasting Sen. Jim DeMint for his comments about President Obama’s health care plan in a new television ad that will begin airing Thursday here in the nation’s capital and in South Carolina.
Speaking on the issue of health care, the South Carolina Republican recently said "if we're able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo.”
DeMint immediately came under fire from the president’s supporters and now the DNC has cut a 30 second TV ad against the South Carolina Republican. DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse would not specifically say how much the DNC was spending on the ad, but did offer it was in the “five figures range” and that it would air in the Columbia, Greenville and D.C. markets.

Just as i've said in previous posts, the GOP are more focused on themselves rather than the people. Simple as that!
He could have said it would be Obama's last stand.
Careful – DeMint will get his buddy Sessions and a few others in those White Sheets to come after you with burning crosses.
Thank you, DNC, for telling the truth about this man. With him, it's all POLITICS AS USUAL, & to h-ll with the needs of the American people!!!
The RNC creates goofy parodies of pop songs and commercials that are based on lies, and all the DNC has to do is post the actual quotes of republicans....Oh, this is too easy!
Sen. Deminted has disgraced himself and his state and should resign along with his fellow C-Street cult members. All the GOP wants to do is engage in partisan attacks and obstructionism instead of offer any construction ideas to solve the very serious problems facing America. It is unfathomable that Deminted is being paid taxpayer dollars to oppose any solution to our problems.
And this man is a Senator? Vote this bum out!
Way to go! You managed to get your 5secs of fame without offering the citizens of this country a solid plan! Please, do continue shoving money toward those meaningless ads...
People like DeMint care about being elected, not the well being of America or its people. This is why the Republican party is now irrelevant. Self interest, political interests, not the COUNTRY, the Constitution, or it's people. The Republicans were repudiated for 8 years of mismanagement that's gotten us where we are. Bush and Cheney should be going to prison. The Republicans are irrelevant.
Well, at least they didn't "slam" him. Have a nice day!
As always, when it comes to negative politics, it's all about who is getting what from whom. We Obama supporters know what the real deal is, and we look forward to seeing politics-as-usual fall by the wayside as the forces of change continue to forge a new and improved United States of America.
Don't speak up against the Tyrant! You will be silent!
All hail Obama!
Sad world we live in...
If anything. right or wrong, DeMint just admitted what his agenda is. All politics. Nothing about the people. If he feels so angry about the health policy Obama wants to pass, well, present your own. That's why you are there.
Unfortunately for the DNC..., 9 out of 10 of our progressively educated young adults think Waterloo is an alcoholic drink.
The Party of NO does not represent the majaority of Americans, and we have to get the message out ......We need to have health coverage. I know that if I were ever unemployed I would prefer to have at least health coverage than none at all. What thinking person would deny their fellow man accessability to health care ??? What kind of animals think like that ????
He is a REPUBLICAN what do you expect!!!! SOUR GRAPES!!
OBAMA ROCKS! And we will get this passed.
A Government in power, with the majority does not get things done. They just put a bigger load on the future governments. Barack Obamas ego is at stake. This idiot who keeps supporting him no matter what is also and hypochrit. George Bush did everything wrong according to this idiot six months ago. Time will tell: History will put Obama into space..
I bet these so-called blue-dog democrats are bribed just like republicans....don't they know that people are suffering without health care....USA ranks 39th in the world, shame...on it...
Democrats would be spending this huge amount of money on health insurance for the poor if they really care about reform.
Obama is worried about his popularity, this is ALL about him. This is about US, the American people. The fact of the matter is, Obama said during campaign last year, people can keep their insurance if they're happy with, HRC 3200 stated clearly, those with insurance now will LOSE their private insurance and employers will be penalized if they keep on using private insurance for their workers. This is FAILURE at BEST for Obama, he is downright FAILURE. It's all about him what is good for him, he NEVER think this healthcare bill which he ADMITTED he didn't read is a sure sign of a STUPID PRESIDENT.
RNC's Reforma ad is much better and funnier. DNC's ad is just plain old vindictive.
Yeah, the Democrats really are hypocrites, aren't they?
The Republicans are scumbags. Everything has to be political with them. Only out for themselves, could care less about this country.
We'll be voting the rest of them out of office; the last should be out in 2014.
Sen. DeMint is an example of what has gone wrong with our system. No mention of what he wants to contribute to the debate and assist in fixing our health care system. He would rather concentrate on distroying our elected president. This is a sad state of affairs1
DeMint, Obama's Waterloo is also the 46,000,000 people who are uninsured in this country Waterloo also.
Perhaps you should go back under your uninformed rock and use your last name to wash out your mouth or brain, whichever comes first!
