North Korea: Clinton 'funny lady, by no means intelligent'

Hillary Clinton says North Korea's refusal to discuss nuclear program could provoke arms race.
Hillary Clinton says North Korea's refusal to discuss nuclear program could provoke arms race.

BANGKOK, Thailand (CNN) - North Korea launched a scathing personal attack on U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday after she likened the leadership in Pyongyang to "small children and unruly teenagers and people who are demanding attention."

At a meeting of southeast Asian nations in Phuket, Thailand, a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman blasted Clinton for what he called a "spate of vulgar remarks unbecoming for her position everywhere she went since she was sworn in," according to the state-run KCNA news agency.

The spokesman called Clinton "by no means intelligent" and a "funny lady."

"Sometimes she looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping," the statement said.

Hillary Clinton gets made fun of by North Koreans would have been more accurate. You probably used this headline to get more people to open the article- and it worked for me. I doubt if the North Koreans take any American Secretary of State seriously.

Well, I hate to agree with the North Koreans, but . . . . when you're right, you're right.

Yeah, and your mother dresses you funny. We're dealing with some a real brain trust in North Korea. So glad Bush the idiot made up the "Axis of Evil" and invaded Iraq, effectively goading these mental midgets to acquire nuclear weapons. Thanks again, republicans.

Clinton is made the bufoon by N. Korea. Obama rings in, while admittedly not knowing all the facts, on cop "stupidly" arresting a black college prof who is breaking into his own house (not really a presidential issue is it?). So much for the good judgement candidate.

This administration is like a football team that runs the first 12 plays from a pre-written script then plays the hand that it is dealt after that. Looks like we're getting near the end of the 1st quarter script of plays. And a lot of the pre-scripted plays have run for no gain.

These guys don't look any better that Bush for crying out loud! They're starting to come apart at the seams already. God help us if we're attacked during this administration.

It is original to call any foreign country a child, but this 'child' plays with dangerous nuclear toys. They are not stupid. I do wonder how effective it is to send female diplomats to these countries, where women have no equal rights. These dictators won't take our female diplomats seriously, which is a big disadvantage for us.

  9. Hillary has been shunted aside by Obama and....

should resign and run against him in 2012.....

Obama has treated her miserably by not taking her on any of the major trips and relegating her to working with the ousted President of Honduras....

Step down Hillary and start your 2102 campaign....Obama is weak....
failing on everything from the economy to unemployment to home foreclosures...and now health reform...

He reached out a hand to Iran and was promptly slapped...

    N. Korea mocks him and he has no credibility with Al Qaeda or the Taliban.....

For what do we need Obama?????

Clinton isn't as bad as they make her out to be, however she is certainly no Condlissa Rice. Rice had grace, dignity, and a real vocabulary.

HAHAHAHAHA. I'm sure CNN is giving this as a tongue in cheek titled story. This kind of comment coming from a country with zero human rights. On behalf of MILLIONS of free Americans: we don't care what North Korea thinks as long as they abide by the same rules of the rest of thinking cultures.

to the North Korean "Democratic" Republic..
Who are you to say who is intelligent and who is not? You are a bunch of thugs, gangsters, low lives. Your "dear leader" sips fine liquors and drives luxury cars, both from Europe, while your people live on grass for food. Drop dead!

The North Koreans wouldn't know intelligence if they fell over it. Give me a break...Hillary could not care less what they think of her personally.

Economic sanctions do not have the desired effect on N-K( hence the big mouth ) , well that means only one thing..... usa will now be focusing on the military strategy ?

Without knowing that north korean official with a big mouth just paved the way to get clearance for the US government to fund their rocket shield.

Thanks north korean buddy , by the way potty mouth Clinton is 100% right regarding the behaviour of north korean leadership.

I have been a long time CNN viewer. I am increasingly disappointed in CNN's obviously changing philosophy in the way you present the news. Tabloid journalism has invaded your editoral decisions. I am hoping the recent death of Walter Cronkite has forced you (and the rest of America and "real" investigative journalism) to re-examine what has happened to the media and the loss of good investigative, accurate, truthful, journalism in this country. It is my hope that you will choose to take the high road and present the news and constructive analysis as you used to do in your early years. If not, you will continue to become another Fox News.

How pathetically unprofessional of the North Korean government, but then this is nothing new. Secretary of State Clinton would far surpass any of them in intelligence judged solely on their behavior, but clearly she is an accomplished, educated and intelligent person to be put in such a sensitive position.

It is also clear that they are living up to the image she portrayed of them as "...unruly teenagers and people who are demanding attention." And all of it in a negative way. No wonder they are ostracized by civilized people of the world.
