Schwarzenegger announced a major plan Monday to eliminate California's $26 billion deficit, with state agencies looking at billions of dollars in cuts as part of the plan.
On Tuesday, the Hollywood actor turned governor posted a video, in which he handles a 2-foot-long knife before thanking Californians for providing him with creative ideas for slashing the budget.
By Wednesday, critics had emerged, some wondering how Schwarzenegger could post a lighthearted video about a proposed budget plan that could slash services for needy people.
The governor addressed the critics at a news conference, saying that though the budget process was tough he had not lost his sense of humor.

OMG, anyone that seriously thinks that legalizing mary jane will solve CA's problems has been seriously smoking some. Haven't you brain dead zombies (infesting CA as we speak) seen that any time revenues increase, this loony lib government simply sees that as an opportunity for further increasing state social programs (at 2 or 3 times, or more, the revenue increase!).
More money has never helped CA's problems! Boot out the illegal invaders and the problem is solved!
That knife is symbolic of what that man has done to his state's employees. Slashed their pay 15% so that all they can afford is rent, food, and commute costs. No discretionary income for anything else. How does that help a state economy get out of the crapper??
Legalize Marijuana, tax it.

This rhino Governor should be ashamed, as should the republicans AND democrats in the California legislature for allowing this all to happen. California needs to repeal the 2/3rd majority rule as well. We can't pass a budget for anything, and now – we all pay the harsh price. Enjoy your low property tax folks. YOU asked for this. All he did all his life is EAT and BUILD BODY. His Education level is Zero. His I.Q. Level is less than a 5th Grader.

In dealing with the fiscally irresponsible California State Legislature, Arnold needs to turn back into the Terminator and kick some of their sorry butts. This hasn't been just a one-time problem. The California State Legislature always wants to be all things to all people and doesn't know how to say no to anyone.
California. They gave us Pelosi (spend billions on porkulus); Waxman (tax billions on energy); Boxter, etc.

Ok, the video is over the top, but what choice does he have? There must be cuts. He understands you can't spend more than is coming in, which is something that Obama doesn't seem to comprehend. Obama apparently thinks it's like Monopoly money and we'll just print more.

Like most liberal states of the union, California is bankcrupt. That's the problem when a state becomes too liberal, they want all kinds of programs and freebies they cannot afford. California deserve what they get.
