WASHINGTON (CNN) - The U.S. Senate on Thursday confirmed Judge Sonia Sotomayor as the first Hispanic justice on the Supreme Court.

I am the white/old/businessman/ex republican who thanks God that someone like this can start with nothing in this country and go to the top. so all those archie bunkers out there-I want there names to be shown to the world at every election. ITS TIME to stop politics and think of our country first. We have these human behavior studies on ethic groups then when one climbs the ladder archie tries to stop them.

A Great Moment in American History. The GOP Senators who voted against her will have lots of explaining to do IN FRONT of their Hispanic constituents over the summer recess. It will be interesting how many of them avoid Hispanic voters in their states. Senator John Thune of South Dakota will have lots of explaining to the fast growing hispanic community here in SD.

I'm glad that she was confirmed. All the posing and invented labels from the right were grating. Now we can move on to other, important issues.
CNN – I would love to see a break-down of how each senator voted.

Oh no! What will conservatives find to scream about now?

Oops, thats right..I forgot, they complain about everything. Remember , folks: the first rules of conservatism is don't do anything for anyone else and don't think unless it comes off an AM station or Fox.

Apparently NRA is not as powerfull as everybody thought, especially they themselves. At least 8 Republicans voted for her.

Until the day when the NRA is gone, and the 2 Amendmend is amended to not allow any fool on the street to carry a gun, I will have to dream.
