It looks like we are seeing progress in fixing the economy. There has been a trend in the positive direction in housing, auto sales, stock market, and now unemployment. Republicans can criticize this president all they want, but what they have to understand is that the 2010 and 2012 elections will be about the American people asking both parties "what have you done for me lately?" The answer for Republican won't be so great.

Let's review a little US of A history

Bush and the GOP ran the country for eight years 2000-2008
    In that time we've had

    - TWO WARS,
    - Wall St Meltdown,
    - Home Property Economy destroyed,
    - Alienated almost the entire civilized world against us,
    - Wire-taped our citizens,
    - Kidnapped and tortured prisoners

and basically ran the country into a ditch.

Then Bush and his Karl Rove reality leaves the White House with a BIG STINKING PILE laying on the carpet floor.

Who gets to clean the mess up? Obama

"may"? If you don't know Obummer then say so. This job is a lot different than being a community cheer leader.

The Economy is getting worse. Reagan had trickle-down economics, Obambi has TRICKLE-UP POVERTY, 34 million in food stamps and that number is increaing; an increase of 3 million from 2008. People stop looking for jobs anymore, all they can see are padlocked businesses. Even at Mcdonalds there's no job opening. Economy is so bad right now, you can go to any restaurants on weekends especially Sunday it is no longer full like it used to, even groceries very few shoppers.

I have just one question for people that hate Obama and think he's such a terrible job. Where was all these idiots when George Bush and Dick Cheney was creating the mess this counrty is in? They said nothing because its just a bunch of Racists hollering about nothing – and because Obama is half black.

    Revolution means: >>>>>>>>>

    1. The process of incompetent getting automatically eliminated.
    2. Just like in the Competitive Market, Products that are Good, will Sell.
    3. Revolution does not happening by choice, it is a happening by necessity.
    4. Obama is not making the Revolution to Happen. Obama is the end result of the Revolution. Obama was elected as the President, because of the Revolution against Bush and the incompetent GOP.
    5. Revolution is not caused by Obama, rather Obama is the result of the Revolt of the People against GOP.
    6. Obama is the Outcome of a Revolution, he is not the one who brought the Revolution.
    7. The real Revolution is yet to Come, when GOP will be Extinct and Perished.

Okay, fine, but why did you make a deal with Tauzin of the pharmaceutical industry to continue the Bush policy of Medicare not being able to negotiate lower rates as part of the new health care reform, you should have ended that billion dollar giveaway to pharma; or why did you agree to allow coal mining in Appalachia under the misguided name of clean coal. I agree with people who want to hear details about the new health plan that Obama is proposing because while he says that he made deals with hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, and other health care providers, what were the details of those deals? Why aren't they pushing for higher taxes on the wealthiest Americans? They just got an estate tax break that will cost the treasury hundreds of billions of dollars over the next 10 years. That alone could have paid for health care reform. There's too much going on at once and no one tying it together yet.

You have a complete incompetent in charge who has lived off the system from his college days.
Now he surrounds himself with crooks...who are daily fed info from a "groupie" of internet geeks.
How do you like that "change" you voted for?
RACISM, SOCIALISM AND MO TAXES...that's your change!

I sure hope we are headed in the right direction. I'd hate to lose my job and end up in the street. I'm one paycheck away now. I also know I am not alone! If we the people could get some of our money instead of already rich people it would be another step into sanity.

CNN pleas post my comment, this is my third attempt, are you only accepting anti President Obama rhetoric! AFTER SEEING THE BOGUS GRADE OF "C-" GIVEN THE PRESIDENT, BY UNLEARNED PESSIMIST OF THIS PRESIDENT AND THIS ECONOMY, THIS PROVES HE AHEAD OF CNN, FOX, AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN ANALYZING, STRATEGIZING, AND REPARING THIS ECONOMY! The repuglicans of course will still promote their doomsday tales of gloom and doom despite how good it gets! They will stall, delay, attack, belittle, and just oppose anything this president proposes. But, that won't change the mind of those on the repuglican bandwagon! These same people never protested Bush's squandering of 5 trillion surplus, or 11 trillion debt, or leaving 1.3 trillion yearly deficit! Bush, also left 2 wars, 2 nuclear threats, banking crisis, mortgage crisis, auto crisis, wall street crisis, and healthcare crisis! WHERE WERE THESE OUTRAGED REPUBLICANS WHEN THIS MESS WAS BEING CREATED! WELL I AM ALSO OURAGED AT THE REPUBLICAN HYPOCRISY AND MESSAGE OF MISSINFORMATION, LIES, DECEIT AND GUTTER POLITICS! THEY OPPOSE PUBLIC OPTION BECAUSE THEY ARE IN THE INSURANCE COMPANIES WALLET!

Health care reform is needed. But not in the direction of soylent green, which will begin with denying health care to the elderly, like OBs plan will do.

What are all the right wing freaks going to say when Obama's economy starts improving? They will ignore the success as they ignore the truth about his citizenship.

The President and his team are doing all the right things. Thanks to them a country that was on the brink of ruin is now stabilizing and showing signs of moving forward. Now, let's pass meaningful health reform so that we can begin to reduce the biggest expenditure in the budget and eventually bring down the deficit. Job very well done!

GOOD job President Obama.......Thanks for saving us from the huge mess Bush and his massive debts have left this country in, slowly but surely things are changing for the better. In 100 days you have done more and more for the better than he managed to do in 8 years... 8 years of massive debt , war, full of anger and hate.........Bless you Mr President ..........

There are so many short sighted people on these CNN blogs. You are only listening to the antichrist's talking points and not really looking at what his health care plan really is or means, what will happen as a result of the cash for clunkers program. He is just hoping you don't figure it out until after this 4 years is up. He knows that in a fair election, he will not be elected again in 2012. Too many people that voted for him are waking up. That is why he is having his thugs show up at rallys so that people with real questions that want real facts do not get the chance to ask their questions.

  20. Some one had to do it

"If you were being honest you would realize the dems held the Congress for the last 2 years of Bush. So now are you telling me they (the Dems) had no hand in creating this "mess"?"

Steve, I could blame the democrats more IF GWB didn't VETO everything they tried to pass in those two years. GET OVER IT.......

Also, unemployement is a LAGGING indicator of the overall strength of the economy. The last 6 months of unemployment numbers were a reflection on the PREVIOUS administration. THAT IS IN ECON 101...

I think he's right. Thanks to some fast work by this administration. Most economist would agree that we had to do something. But the repos would still be waiting to see.

We need Palinomics right now for that will fix this economy, not what Obambi is doing.

Yes we can and I'm loving it. The Republicans in Washington are hating it and using the worst tactics in attempting to destroy Obama and don't care if they destroy us all. They spread hate and destruction around the world and then spread fear.

these numbers should be better yet. You have everyone employed in the seasonal business, agric, building, landscaping. In another 2 to 3 months as soon as the weather turns bad they will all be unemployed again.
