Obama political arm goes on offense

WASHINGTON (CNN) – President Obama's political operation is signaling a new call to arms, and is urging supporters to push back against vocal opponents who have dominated the recent congressional town hall meetings on health care.

"The same angry groups and right wing extremists we saw at rallies during last year's election are at it again," Mitch Stewart, director of Organizing for America, says in a nearly two-minute long video that will be emailed Friday afternoon to Obama supporters.

"They are spreading lies about the president's plan and with the encouragement of Republican leaders, and funding from their special interest allies they are disrupting pubic events. They are trying to drown out public discourse and legitimate conversation on this issue in communities all across America."

The video shows Stewart sitting in an office and cuts to images of protesters disrupting town halls. Stewart goes on to instruct supporters to visit a Web site to "sign up for events in your community and contact your representatives."

At the conclusion of the 2008 election, Obama transitioned his presidential campaign into OFA, which is now a project of the Democratic National Committee.

One can tell that these protests are contrived because most of these idiots have no clue of what health care reform is about.

The children of the 1960s Liberal protestors have taken many progressive issues as their own-they are among the most outspoken advocates of these isuues-as are their children.
On the obverse the children of the outspoken community segregatioists are also becoming vocally active.Among the vocal harranguers at healthcare meetings, abortion debates, meeting on ecology, evolution or immigration- these identifiable offspring of racists crop up to spew hate-.
Show the films of these local meeting to local minorities-ask if the harranguers are identifiable- then ask about the parents of these people.
Didn't anyone ever ask who was that guy who poured ketchup over the heads of lunch counter sitins- who wre his parents ? What church did he attend- and what church or denomination did these did these harranguers belong to ? - who offered shelter to hatred ?

The way people opposing health reform think makes my head hurt.

First of, if you like your greedy insurance company and the stress-inducing plan....then keep it!! No one is taking that away from you. I can't count how many times President Obama started his speeches with that fact.

Second, the public health insurance introduced by reform is tapping into the millions that are uninsured either because they can't afford it or simply don't bother premiums for their pre-existing condition. So, no need to worry about competition....not to mention: WE LIVE IN A CAPITALIST SOCIETY!

Third, our men and women fighting in war fronts all over the world are receiving the best "government-run" veteran care. It is also enjoyed by federal/state commissioned employees. So, the idea that government can not run a public health insurance is idiotic!

How is this any different then what the Dems accuse the Republicans of doing? Honestly the President should know better, cause his thugs aren't just going to shout out the opposition they are going to get violent just like in Missouri. When this gets out of hand the blood of innocent American citizens will be on President Obama's hands. May god help us if we end up in another civil war because of this mans arrogance.

Why do we have to call it a "call to arms" by our President? Does he want a fight that bad?? I'm really concerned that when we think things are bad we're willing to throw out the baby with the bath water. Be careful, fellow Americans', what you ask for because if you wanted a Canadian, German, Swiss, etc. etc. system and it was as important to you as our President makes it sounds (why right now???) you'd have moved there already! I don't like the speed with which we're trying to "fix" everything and I'm confident spending money to make money when you don't have much was never a sound market strategy!

So the Dumbacrats don't like it with local citizens who are pissed off using their tactics against them? Watch some of these videos on CNN, youtube, etc. Theres no scripted chants, no preprinted signage, no buses dumping people off.

The administration is trying to demonize people who disagree with them by making them "mobs" and painting them as ignorant or paid. Does this guy realize that he won because the 20% in the middle leaned a little more toward him. I bet a majority of them wish they had their vote back.

The only people making full of themselves are the so called Blue Dog Democrats. The American people will not forgive them if the derail the president's option of a Public Plan that counter checks the uncontrollable cost hurting families all across the country. It is about time we set brakes on the profiteering Insurance Companies who also bent to disrupt Obama's Health care Reform.

I am not a right wing nut, I am not even religious but I have questions about health care and other things that my government does. We elect these people to serve us, not themselves as most politicians on both side seem to think. I resent being called part of a mob and it will show at the polling booth.

I have had it with Conservative Republicans being absolute loonitics. Insurance companies want your money, and that is it! They do not care about your well being. I am tired of being gouged with monthly insurance, only to see that most preventative care insurance will NOT cover. This is rationing at its best. Are we supposed to let AMERICANS die of diseases just because they cannot afford insurance? Where is the outrage-Right to Lifers?

I think President Obama is doing a Great Job! I support him 100%. He's only been in the White House for 200 days. He inherited a horrible mess after 8 years of a Bush/Cheney undeclared war-overspending and blatant lies and terrorist tactics-aimed at scaring Americans into falling in line behind them. McCain and that woman did the same and now those Republicans are doing it again-interrupting Americans who want to talk about Healthcare Reform. There is a pattern here-they have no ideas for this country so they spread lies and innuendos. We're beyond the garbage. Let's talk HealthCare. Let's support President Obama. Maybe we all don't agree on what's being proposed but let's discuss in a civil tone and get the job done. It is Long Overdue!

CALLING ALL KOOL-AID DRINKERS! CALLING ALL KOOL-AID DRINKERS! YOUR MESSIAH STILL NEEDS YOU!

It wasn't enough that you elected this lightweight president without having a SINGLE CLUE as to who he was, where he came from, what he has done, and what he intended to do to your country. Now he needs you to continue to make complete idiots out of yourself by continuing to blindly support him.....just like you did on election day.

I just want to let the right-wing extremist know that karma works in funny ways. So, when your health fails, and your "great" insurance plan refuses to pay for specific things, you have no one blame but yourselves. So much for "christian family values" and civility.
