DNC unveils new health care TV ad

WASHINGTON (CNN) – The Democratic National Committee will release a new television ad Tuesday touting President Obama's efforts to reform the nation's health care system as he travels this week from the Northeast to the Rocky Mountain West.

"President Obama's plan will end unfair insurance practices like denying coverage for a pre-existing condition, outrageous out-of-pocket expenses, and dropping coverage when you get too sick," a narrator says in the 30-second commercial. "Health insurance reform means your family's care comes first, not insurance industry profits."

A DNC spokesman tells CNN that the ad will run on national cable, as well as on local cable in New Hampshire, Montana, Colorado and the District of Columbia. Obama will hold a health care town hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Tuesday, before heading out west to Montana and Colorado.

If these guys are so keen on honest debate, how come they create and air false advertising?

Just how many Americans health insurance can be covered by the money Obama spent on flying all over this country and planet? This guy just does not want to stay put in the White House for more than 3-4 days.

I really like my Blue Shield coverage. They have been excellent. It's not even that expensive!

BY the way, did the DNC happen to mention how much ObamaCare was going to cost or who was going to pay for it? I didn't think so.

What could possibly be more unfair than the government seizing control of a very important aspect of our lives, after proving time and time again that they are incapable of efficiency or budgetary responsibility?

Not to mention making all of us pay for those incapable of paying for themselves due to lack of will or effort, or lack of citizenship because they criminally entered our country?

Not all Conservatives are evil. I don't think Liberals are evil. I don't think Democrats are evil. Those of you who post slanderous, mal-intented comments about the other side contribute nothing to this country and its healthy debate.

Kudos to the people at Senator McCaskill's town hall meeting today in Missouri. The citizens were very civilalized. This is what town hall discussions are about ...not yelling and screaming, pushing and not letting others have a fair chance of asking questions.I applaud the senator with her answers and they were sincere and very honest. If people would seek answers rather than to listen to un factual information then and then only will you be able to have a civil discussion.American stop allowing the fear mongering and you be the decider of your future and you family and don't let these scare tactics deceive you

The people you see disrupting Heathcare Mmeetings are insurance agents just fighting for the almightly dollar they are accustomed to.
They have been "raping" the American people for years.....

I wish the idiots who think that Rush and Hannity are telling them the deep dark secrets of these plans would wise up. This is still America, and Obama is not out to transform us into something else. Seriously. The man cares about this country, and before we are all in debt to the insurance companies who are the real brains behind these protests (guess how much they pay Rush and Hannity in ad dollars) please give this a chance. We need it...the country needs reform. And we need it now. Republicans will obviously not care enough about their neighbors to ever reform it...the time is now.

  24. Everyone in Canada has quality healthcare

President Obama said today that Canada's Single Payer Universal One Tier Healthcare system that treats everyone in Canada like equals wouldn't work for Americans.

Right, why would Americans want qaulity healthcare coverage for every citizen for 10% of GDP when they can maintian the status quo and cover half it's citizens with quality healthcare for 16% of GDP (and growing) and bankrupt the country within 15 years.

It\s a lot easier to turn your back on your fellow citizens, embarrass your country by shutting down freedom and democracy at townhall meetings (exactly what your men and woman in uniform are fighting for) and be ignorant to factual information.
