(CNN) – If President Obama wants to catch the White Sox-Red Sox games next week while he vacations in Martha's Vineyard, he'll probably see the latest ad to attack his health care reform proposals.
Conservatives for Patient's Rights, a group founded earlier this year by former health insurance executive Rick Scott, says it will spend close to $150,000 next week to air a 30-second television spot in the Boston media market coinciding with Obama's vacation in the area.

Among the stations the group plans to air the ad on is NESN, the network that will broadcast the four-game series next week between Obama's Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox.
Called "Surf's Up," the ad's narrator appears to mock Obama's beach vacation "while concerns mount about his health care plan."
"The beach is nice this time of year," says the female narrator. "But while president Obama vacations, concerns mount about his health care plan. Mr. President, when you go back to D.C., drop your government-run public option plan."
The group has spent upwards of $4 million on combating the Democrats health care proposals this year.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs brushed aside the ad at Friday's daily briefing.
"I don't think the American people begrudge the president taking some time with his family that's well earned and well deserved for a few days to see and spend time with them," said Gibbs.

And Bush never vacationed during his presidency???? In that job is there ever a good time to plan a vacation? This needs to stop.
This is exactly why he should continue pressing forward. The Republicans have their money vested in theses big insurance companies and they run America or try to. It is time someone brings them down.
I wonder what could possibly cause Obama’s rapid popularity deterioration? Perhaps the lack of transparency, the collusion, the czars who are held unaccountable, or maybe it is just all the promises left unfilled or lied about.
YAWN. Where was this group when Dubya was vacationing at the "ranch" in TX., or at Kenneybunkport???
rick scott is as close to a communist as you can get, always wanting the country to go down the tubes. he must be forgeting that bush was on a month long vacation when he was briefed about the possibility for attack (which happened on 911) and was too arrogant(or stupid) to believe it could happen
"If you’re wondering who is primarily responsible for organizing the barbaric efforts to sabotage the Democratic town halls across the nation, wonder no longer. The man’s name is Rick Scott, and he is in charge of the Web site Conservatives For Patients Rights. He is a multimillionaire ex-hospital CEO whose company was charged with the largest case of financial fraud committed against the government in United States history."
Why is this guy not in jail?
Ahhh, nothing like the fetid stench of Conservative Hate in the morning. These guys can't come up with an solutions to the numerous problems, epic failures and economic disasters they created, so they waste their time playing petty politics, lying, whining and acting like children. Yep. What a Grand Old Party... of fools.
Is this a joke? With all the vacation time Bush took while in office and the conservatives want to be critical of President Obama? Enjoy your time off Mr President as you have certainly earned it having to work diligently to fix 8 years of republican mess!
They spent money on that....HMMMM... Oh well, they are conservative. I guess I should be happy they could create the ad.
You have to think when you see who these ads are funded by. Does anyone really think the health care industry cares about people? Of course not, just the dollars they bring.
You guys used to treat this kind of thing as news.
Of course the ad is being paid for by a former Insurance Exec. hmmmm wonder what his motive could be. LOL
This gets better all the time.

Rick Scott is a convicted liar and has no principles. He is simply trying to find another way to scam for more money. It's sickening. I feel bad for Pres. Obama if he has to see this ad on his vacation. I'd rather hear from more legitimate groups and sources over the core issues to health care reform. I also wouldl ike to see Pres Obama really lead on this and stop trying to appease the Republican party. We need health care and we need it now. So if the Reps won't help or support it, move on and get the Dems to do the right thing.
Mock all you want...Bush spend more than 1/4of his presidency....2 YEARS on vacation! Health care needs competition to drive down costs and invite innovation...we need a public plan!
There are still plenty of Obama supporters. He will be critiscized now, but 10 years from now he will be admired for health care reform. People are resistant to change.
Where were they when Bush was on vacation on those years! If an insurance exec wants Obama to drop the public option, then the public option is obviously going to take profits from the insurance companies. This means competition and lower costs to consumers.
Wake up America!! You are being manipulated by corporate America. Good rule of thumb – if corporate America is against it, it is good for the American consumer!!
The are kidding right. This is after a President that broke all records taking vacation time away from the White House. Perhaps they think we have no memory at all.
lol I love PAC names. "Conservatives for Patient's Rights" might as well be called: "Those who made extreme riches off of massive, decades-long increases in health insurance costs for continuation of massive profits for the Worst-Run Industry in America".
These conservatives must have learned how to spend money like the previous administration. Couldn't they just send a letter? Postage is less than 50 cents.
Just another demonstration of the utter hypocrisy of the 'right.' Their president actually spent 1/3 of his whole 'presidency' on vacation. The republican philosophy is 'i've got mine, the hell with you!' and nothing demonstrates this any clearer than thier attempts to sink health care reform with their unconscionable lying and goon squads. Obama needs to totally drop his attempts at bipartisan cooperation and just pass a good bill!
Typical conservative behavior here:
Give Bush a free pass for vacationing more than any other president in history, and attack Obama for the second vacation he's had while in office.
Thanks for keeping it consistent.
Wow... I know the Conservatives have it in for Obama, but come on... I've never seen this level of attack on a President in my life. It's like from day one he entered the Oval Office, the Republicans mandate has only been to hound him and dog him 24 hours a day. It's no wonder many people feel the Conservatives are offering very little in the way of alternative solutions... it's hard to have time to think of solutions when you're pouring all your energy into attacking Obama every chance you get. I know he's far from perfect, but let the man have a little bit of a vacation. You Conservatives will have plenty of time to think of new ways to tear him down before he gets back to Washington D.C.
Wow, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Bush took nearly 1000 days (487 at Camp David, 490 at his Texas ranch) of vacation during his 8 year term (amounting to close to 1/3 of his entire time spent in office) and the repubs have the gall to attack President Obama for this? I HAVE SEEN IT ALL!!!
Absolutely unreal the chutzpah of mocking this president for taking a couple weeks of vacation in August, when the previous one spent OVER A YEAR AND A HALF of his eight years in office on vacation.
There's absolutely no shame whatsoever in anything conservatives do anymore
Now the guy can't even go on vacation?!?!??! Jeez
