(CNN) – Despite word from the White House that "nobody is looking to make any news" this week, President Obama on Tuesday took a break from vacationing to announce his plans to nominate Ben Bernanke to a second term as head of the Federal Reserve.

"The man next to me, Ben Bernanke, has led the Fed through one of the worst financial crises that this nation and the world has ever faced," Obama said from Martha's Vineyard, a Massachusetts Island.

Obama made the announcement at Oak Bluffs Elementary School. A few dozen onlookers gathered outside the school to wave to the presidential motorcade as it arrived.

So first the Obama haters were angry that he was taking a week off, now they're angry that he has taken time during his week off to make some public announcements regarding national issues of significance.

If I were a cynical person, I'd have to wonder if any reason to hate Obama would do. Good thing I'm not cynical. ;-)

You people are something else. The next thing you'll claim is that Obama is bring his own TV cameras and crews on vacation.

Comments like these justify my worry for this Country.

It always amazes me how people are critical of the POTUS. I believe much of the critical remarks are based on ignorance! How many that criticize have lost their job because they were critical of their boss and didn't perform at work or lost their home because they opted for a sub-prime? For all the others, let's try and quit the Excuse/Blame game and start contributing!
