Kennedy compound could become museum

(CNN) – A close family associate confirms to CNN the storied Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port could be given into a non-profit organization to be made into a museum/educational center project.

The associate said the plans are not final but that the senator for some time had talked to family members and close associates about how to preserve the compound and its history. The discussions involve a possible museum to highlight the history of the place so central to the Kennedy family and other facilities, under the auspices of a non profit.

  1. FORMER republican, NEVER again!

IF bush gets a presidential library then Kennedy should definitely have a museum. bush getting a library is a waste of money as was his entire 8 years in office.

The Kennedy Family did more for this country than many people will ever really know. I have epilepsy and just recognizing what they did for me I am thankful. Allowing me the freedom to work and support myself and not be turned down for a job like I was for so many years. The special Olympics is another accomplishment that helped bring handicap people to be noticed as well as recognize for their accomplishments. I'm hoping that the health bill does get passed. The Kennedy's have fought so long and hard for this and for someone that can't afford health care, the Kennedy's have pushed to putting their hand out to help others, is something that the Kennedy's have always tried to do. My heart and prayers go out to the Kennedy family in this time of sorrow. I know that there are a lot of us out there that are so thankful for all of the accomplishments that they did do for our country. I know I will for many years to come. I will continue to fight for the accomplishments that were so important to them and all of this country.

That is an excellent idea. Americans now and especially future generations, need to be able to see the rich history of these times,
and the people who greatly impacted our rich culture and the culture of the area. These days are slipping away (being stolen away by a marxist administration). Fast forward a few years, and we will
look back on these times as 'before Obamaism', when we the people still had a voice. Yes we need a museum to celebrate our way of life and freedom and goodness. IF we work hard and unite, we can stop
    this nations ruin.
