Palin calls news org 'heartless and selfish'

Since leaving office, Palin has been working on her memoirs.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin is calling the AP's decision to release a battlefield photo of a dying Marine over the family's objection "an evil thing to do."

In a Sunday night post on her Facebook page, the former Alaska governor called the photo released this week of Lance Corporal Joshua Bernard's dying moments on the battlefield in Afghanistan a "sacred image."

"Many of us join Secretary Gates in condemning the Associated Press for its heartless and selfish decision to turn its back on the wishes of a grieving family in order to exploit the tragic death of a true American hero," she wrote.

The release of the photo was "a despicable and heartless act by the AP," said Palin. "The family said they didn't want the photo published. AP, you did it anyway, and you know it was an evil thing to do.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bernard family. …"

Palin has had limited public appearances since resigning the governor's office in July. Most of her comments have come via posts on her Facebook page.

The U.S. news is one of the most censored broadcasts as far a free democracies go. They don't hold back in other countries like we do.

I AGREE, THE PHOTOS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN SHOWN, , , BUT, , , Sarah Palin is far too HYPOCRITICAL with her lying "Death Panels" and false "paling with terrorists" accusations to be a credible critic of AP.

Showing the death of a US solider is something I would not appove of having shown, but everyone need to know the cost of war. The most heart wrenching thing I have ever seen is a mother laying the rest of her son who has not even begun to live a life. I still have my hometown paper where the mother of a soldier is crying because her heart is breaking because of a death. Sarah Palin in only trying to promote herself and not have an intelligent discussion of the issues. If she is looking for her real debate. Ask her to put her policy viewpoints down in writing in a real fourum. Put it in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Times... Pick one... and don't just try to play to your base plz... Present real solutions... NO TALKING POINTS PLZ ...

This hypocrite will say anything and do anything to stay in the media spotlight. Come on, CNN, do the right thing and ignore her.

If the image is "sacred" why the objection to it being captured and displayed for all to see?

Associated Press is a well known old anti American news service.
Always highlighting the terrorists ativities while blaming our soldiers.

For once, I agree with this woman. Shame on the AP and best wishes to this man's family.

If only a man had said AP was wrong to publish the picture against the wishes of the family, my god if only a black man had said it then I would really like the idea, but a woman, get a clue folks, all women are airheads, and they don't deserve a darn bit of our attention.

Women belong in the kitchen. Palin is a woman and I don't like to hear her speak. I really would rather women not speak at all, thank you very much.

But then again, I am a woman who doesn't like other women very much. Don't trust a darn one of them. Especially democratic or republican women.

THE EVIL AIRHEAD HAS STUCK AGAIN!

Sarah is right, the AP should be ashame for doing this. I hope Sarah runs for President; she's very smart and strong unlike liberal women that all they do is insult because they don't know how to express their views.

If the AP is willing to publish this image after the family directly requests they not do so, I believe my tax dollars should not be spent to protect their butts in the field, they should figure that out on their own, along with any "battlefield reporter" who wants to run the risk. Why should our brave men and women, who are quite busy trying to protect their fellow soldier and accomplish a mission, be distracted by a self serving media jerk. Just crazy, our country is out of control.

Is there some reason why we should care what she says? I'm against publishing the photo, but I'm also against giving any credibility to Sarah Palin. Why does CNN report everything idiodic thing she says?

It is much more "Evil" to glorify war and guns as this woman does. Given her way, she would take away your free speech. That by the way, would be anything that disagreed with her.

"Prolife", she is not. The agenda is to control everyone and have them live by her twisted idea of what is right. Sounds like the Talaban or aL Queda agenda to me.

She is violent in her rethoric and thought process and she is pro money above the personal welfare of her fellow Americans, you betcha. Where is her positive, helpful approach to anything? She just complains. Pathetic.

It seems to me that people wanting to keep the images of the fallen soldiers from the American people are exactly those who want to ensure that we sustain this unwinable war. A family has every right to wish that a photo not be shown, but the press has a right to ensure that the American people see that this war is not just something that happens overseas, this is a war that costs us all.

Caribou Barbie's at it again, doing whatever it takes to get attention. Even FatBoy Limbaugh's going on today about what a great person she is. They both should be silenced.

I wonder if any cognative thought passed through the photog's mind as she set up the shot, such as, "Should I go over there and offer assistance to that hero, or should i just try to set up my shot in hopes of gaining the quintescential war shot. Sorry about your luck bud"...click, click, click. I wonder further if she were the one laying almost blown in half, would she want someone to comfort her as she breathed her last in the dirt. Both she and AP are reprehensible in their treatment of this hero's last moments and she, in particular is a self indulging worthless hag. She owed this man and the rest of his unit for facing the enemy at their own peril so she could do her job.

She's politically exploiting this Marine's death by showing her airhead indignation.

Stay in Alaska – no one in the lower 48 wants to hear your crap.
