Dueling bus tours in health care debate

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Get ready for the battle of the dueling health care reform bus tours, again!

As the "Tea Party Express" continues its cross country caravan to rally people against President Barack Obama's health care proposals, Organizing for America is announcing Tuesday the extension of its "Health Insurance Reform Now: Lets Get It Done" bus tour.

Organizing for America, which was formed out of the Obama presidential campaign, is now a wing of the Democratic National Committee.

The group says the next leg of their tour to promote getting health insurance reform done this year will kick off Wednesday night, with hundreds of watch parties across the county during the president's prime time speech on health care to a joint session of Congress. Following the watch parties, OFA says the bus tour head will head from Atlanta to Florida, Louisiana, Texas and Utah and will end in Las Vegas.

Their events look like a flashback to the Obama presidential campaign. Except for one thing - no Obama. Instead of a candidate to sell, there's a message of health insurance reform now is scrawled on the side of their bus.

OFA says the first leg of their bus tour, which ran from August 26 through September 3, hit ten cities and attracted 12,000 supporters. This next leg follows a two-week period where OFA held over 2,000 events in support of reform.

The "Tea Party Express" kicked off its nationwide bus tour in Sacramento on August 28, and is scheduled to be in Michigan Tuesday. Their caravan concludes Saturday in the nation's capitol, as they join in what's being billed as a taxpayer march on Washington.

At least the TeaBaggers are non-paid, concerning Americans. The Health Reform individuals come in off the buses, paid by Soros and gang and holds up their printed paid for signs.
I bet if you asked some of those supporting health reform their answer would be "as long as I don't have to pay anything and can sit on my backside, I am in!"
I would love to have every individual who supports health reform for all, have deducted from their checking acct each month, a check to sponsor a family! betcha how many would want health care for all then!!

I love the new found liberal hatred of CNN's biases. All this does is make me laugh. All news today is bias....towards ratings!!! For people to come out and say that CNN is in the conservatives pockets is laughable. CNN is in the pocket of its shareholders just like every other business. One interesting thing I dont think people realize is that a majority of Americans have a good amount of their 401k in the health insurance industry. So not only are taxes going up, but your 401k is going down.

Lets get rid of all govenment sponsored healthcare! No more medicaid, no more medicare, close the VA hospitals. While we are at it, we should close all socialist schools (public education) end socialized fire and police departments, stop socialist road building. We should let the private sector make all roads toll roads, pay for fire and police service, close all emergency rooms and make hospitals cash only. End food banks, unemployment insurance, welfare, and no more socialized heathcare for congress. We should allow private companies to make as much profit as they want, even if it bankrupts every last American.

78% want reform in some form. Simple solution: throw away party politics and corrupt companies wanting to make sure that they can keep the prices where they want and solve a problem that is long overdue. If we are the best country in the world, we should have the best everything. That includes healthcare that completely covers all who want and need it.

There is only ONE PERSON who should profit from medical care, and that is the physician providing the medical service.

The truth of the matter is that BOTH sides are lying to serve their own purposes. The TRUTH is somewhere in the middle of all this garbage going on now.

We blue collar (not blue dog) democrats are against the out of control spending that has been going on for over the past decade or so. It is what is ruining our economic system, encourages poor people to spend over their heads and make their lot in life worse and will bankrupt our nation for my grandchildren and great grandchildren. According to the CBO the proposed health care bills will be unsustainable. Our country will end up with another onerous public program no one will fix and we will never get rid of in the future. Let us see them fix the existing programs before we trust them with something new.

It's difficult to understand what planet I am on when I read some of the comments.I have read so much misinformation it boggles the mind.First, let me say, beware of anyone who says they are a patriot; it probably means you, therefore are not, especially if you don't agree. Next, let me remind people that if you are waiting for large corporations and huge industry to develop a conscience you will wait longer that infinity!!! What is so hard to understand? We have few jobs held by fewer people, those who presently have a job are worried they will not have one soon. So the republicans tell them look out the sky is falling and they gullibly believe it and the trashing begins anew. The Republicans have done nothing with too many for so long and when it comes to lies and bull they excel. Remember you don't have to write any bills at all just constantly criticize everything everyone else does. Your seat is secure for another term Oh god isn't politics Great!!!
