Wilson says no more apologies for outburst against president

South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson said Sunday that he will not apologize again for his recent outburst during the president's address to Congress.
South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson said Sunday that he will not apologize again for his recent outburst during the president's address to Congress.

(CNN) - Rep. Joe Wilson said Sunday he will not apologize again for yelling out that President Barack Obama lied during the president's speech to Congress last week.

"I am not going to apologize again," the South Carolina Republican said on "FOX News Sunday" when asked about pending disciplinary steps against him by the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives.

Wilson said he already apologized to Obama and that the president accepted it. However, he insisted that Obama "was mis-stating the facts," and that Democratic leaders in the House were "playing politics" by continuing to focus on the issue.

There was never a real apology in the first place, it was more an I'm sorrry the camera was aimed at me, but not sorry for what I said. There should be sanctions against him, he is not fit to represent any poeple from anywhere. He is the liar. Losing him will amount to nothing more than one less cracker racist in government. Next the Gov of Texas, another cracker.

Robert says liberals participate in polite discourse! They don't even want to know the facts before their soft hearts are overwhelmed by their softer heads.

Fo those of you who cannot comprehend what LYING means, I offer this analogy:

If I say that I do not have a policy of letting illegal aliens use my bathroom.

Are you people saying that I am LYING because I don't have a policy that checks the citizenship papers of everyone who uses my bathroom?

Sheesh how illogical can you people be!

He needs to apologize for each breath he takes. People like him and those that blindly follow his ways do not have the ability to see they are WRONG, and rather repeat LIES thantry to do something good for everyone. SAD so SAD they do nogt express the values I once thought were a part of America where people tried to help those in need. But then he is a REPUBLICAN

He is just playing by the liberal democrat playbook, say something harsh, and in this case true, and then apologize later. Unfortunately, democrats don't see the error of their ways and usually don't apologize.

The republicans are interested in sowing disinformation, fear and hatred and they have a lot to answer for – they have destroyed our democratic discourse, first with 8 years of Bush who DID lie, about real things like fake weapons of mass destruction, who DID abuse power by saying yes to tapping the phones of the public and torture – while Obama has done nothing of the sort – the republican ploy is to accuse others of what THEY themselves are doing. In other words, when they call others a liar, it is because THEY are lying. The republicans are so eager to destroy this presidency they will sow any kind of phony propaganda in order to panic the public. THEY ARE THE LIARS and it is disgusting. The moderate republicans need to rein in this fringe element and they need to take a good long hard look at themselves and ask themselves why power is more important to them than helping America. We do not have HAVE choice in health care right now – the insurance industry is fully monopolized. Insurance agency bureaucrats ALREADY choose what procedures we will get – and they choose based on PROFIT. So lets be real here. And lets get our facts straight before we go shouting liar at our president.

It seems once more idots with loose tounges are everywhere. The fact is that over 70% of the voters elected our current President into office and now the other percentage are taking to the streets wearing their (Tea Bags) . It's not the fact that President Obama is trying to pick up the fallen pieces of this country, it is the fact that his is a man of true color. I Pray that we can set aside stuipity and let President Obama continue to work on bringing this country back from the edge of doom. I find it funny that the "Tea Baggers" out there would rather boil in their own mess than see someone pull them up out of the Hot water they have been sitting in for past eight years. Only a few months have gone by and the people have lost their minds. Where were you three years ago?

To all the WING NUTS that keep saying that the bill was changed because of anything Wilson said or Palin or any other Republican that IS NOT TRUE!!! The bill was not changed over night and WILSON was DEAD WRONG so was Palin. BUT STUPID PEOPLE will try to hide behind LIES and pretend they made a deifference.

With each silly post from a Repubvlican plant it is clear that they are so afraid of Obama they will stoop to any extream to try to bring him down in fact they only dig their own grave deeper.

I think we have finally found tghe voice of sanity to run against nOBAMA in 2012.

Why do the Dem's not put in paperwork the need to prove citizenship for health care?

Why do they not endorse Tort reform (so trial lawyers can not sue for any amount undert the sun)?

Why do the Dem's need the health care money, to augment the health care pensions of the Unions if they fall short (yep folks...that is in the bill)?

WHy not have insurance payments as tax deductible or tax free?

    Joe Wilson for Pres 2012.

Also for those who say the 8 yrs is Bush's fault...since the Dems won the senate and House, gas prices have gone up considerably.

Well, JFk, I thank you for that uninvited schooling. However, when you libs continue with your "Bush lied about WMDs", remember all of the Democrat heros who made similar assertions prior to Bush's election.

It is true that the bills say that no illegals will get health insurance. It is also true that there was nothing in the bills to verify someones citzenship. The Republicans tried, but they were defeated. Funny after the "outburst" by Mister Wilson the Democrates now put it in the bill.Obama has been lying and misleading since day one.He says it won't add to the debt, thats a load of bull. His figure of 47 million is wrong, closer to 10 million. So thank you Mr. Wilson.

I hope some investigative reporters will look into Joe Wilson's political history and embarass him with the truth. That's always the best cure for his particular kind of sickness.

As the anti-Obama rhetoric continues, it's becoming more and more clear that no matter how sound, how rational, how moral President Obama's ideas are, it won't matter to the far right Repubs because President Obama is a black man.

Wilson, the -New Face- of the GOP folks!!

Unfortunately the republicans have now lowered the bar to the lowest in history to reach what is left of the republican party.

Disrespect for the President, assault weapons at town meetings, comparisons to Hitler, what’s left to these desperate low life's ??

At last some one has been feed up with , lies .

In the coming day's , there will be more twisted truths. Unvieled from Barracks Past. Starting long be before this , For he came out running on tell ,not the true facts.

Has not come forward with his ,Campain figures, or has show proof of Citizen Ship . Now that is being protected by Axrod. For they are trying to get it in the Supreme court .

Therefore I agree with Wilson , eneough is eneough. Knowing it did show disrespect for a President.

Yet we see there are many , who support this President , the all time spender ,

We have witnessed the end of American era , of the good times, For the New born will never see the good times as most Americans. Only the Illegals an terrorist shall enjoy all the new Laws , of Barrack. , Copy of Chicago Politics. Twisted truth.

Way to go Joe! Stand your ground, the comment has made the media and others explore the truthfulness of Obama's statement regarding healthcare for illegals. Guess what, Congress lawyers legislate laws with massive loop holes in the language and pass them without any mechanism of enforcement. It is called politics and California should be a shining example of what illegal immigration has done to tax dollars, let alone the depression of a fair wage for FREE AMERICAN TRADESMEN! DEPORT THEM OUT!

    Stand tall JOE, YOU GO!

Time doesn't allow me to read all the posts. I have to add my comment however. Wilson has shown what a bully really looks like. What I would like to see happen is the Press remind Americans how our President responded in a respectful way to the derrogatory comment make in the House Chamber. He didn't respond in a combative way, defensive way or otherwise. His response of "not true" was enough then he moved on unwavered. That's the kind of President I respect who under pressure doesn't act like a petulant child of which we've seen too much of with the Pubs.

  24. Nothing 'Stand Up' about Sen. John Ensign (R-NV)

Wilson is a clown, Worse, he is a national disgrace.

I have made three donations since his outburst: 1) to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC); 2) to the Democratic National Committee (DNC); and, 3) to Rob Miller, Joe "The Heckler" Wilson's Democratic opponent.

Most importantly, South Carolina are voters FED UP w/ Rep. Joe "The Heckler" Wilson's shameful behavior!

"In a matter of seconds Joe Wilson [R-SC] turned himself from a safe incumbent into one of the most vulnerable Republicans in the country for 2010," Dean Debnam, Public Policy Polling's president, said. Wilson now has the backing of 43% of voters in his congressional district; Miller is supported by 44%.

He should be drummed out of the house. Doesn't matter who occupies the white house, that amount of dsrespect is not forgiveable. No more than someone throwing a shoe at our president. Like him or not, he's ours. He needs to be given respect. It is, however, no surprise that it was a republican who did this.
