Media shut out from Palin's Hong Kong speech

(CNN) – Sarah Palin's speech to investors in China later this month will be closed to the media, organizers of the event confirmed to CNN Monday.

The former Alaska governor is set to address the annual CLSA Investors' Forum September 23, though the group is also declining to reveal the topic of the former GOP vice presidential candidate's closed-door speech.

"We are not disclosing the topic of Sarah Palin's presentation at this point," said Simone Wheeler, head of communications for CLSA.

Wheeler said much of the four-day forum, which includes more than 200 presentations, is closed to the media except for a handful of keynote addresses where the speakers have specifically allowed members of the press to be invited.

Palin, whose lack of foreign policy credentials was criticized by Democrats during the 2008 campaign, apparently was not among those speakers willing to grant members of the media access to her speech.

"For keynote presentations, it is the speaker's decision as to whether or not their sessions are closed. Several of our keynotes this year are not open to media," Wheeler said.

There has been speculation Palin could receive upwards of six figures on the speaking circuit, though the organization is remaining tight-lipped on that matter.

"We never disclose if, or how much, our speakers are remunerated," Wheeler said.

Given her track record with public speaking, I say hiding from the media may be the smartest decision she's ever made.

If she does as well and is as effective as she did with the big oil companies in Alaska it'll be great. The immature complain about her if her speaches are covered and do the same when they're not. By doing so and making a travisty those folks are not only missing out on the great things Palin has to offer but they are also preventing others from learning her attributes as well. They portray her as ignorant when the truth is the ignorant are those who won't listen, research and learn reality. It's unfortunate so many Americans would rather try to destroy someone than seriously approach our country's issues. It's like a diversion to keep people from seeing the reality of the intential distruction of America. Grow up and save America, people.

Shes not reeling in campaign money, you frothing retards! She is padding her own pockets by attracting the types of people that would gladly eat her excrement. She is drawing in Americans to invest money into Chinese businesses.

As a lib this does not anger me. Quite the opposite actually. By getting these retards to dump their cash overseas, they will have less to give to the Republicans LOL.

Of course, she'll back out of this speech, too, claiming that she had never been invited in the first place...

Palin is going to start her own Political Party here in America, because the Democrats can't stand her, the Republicans and Independents are trying to distance themselfves from her and the only ones that want her is the far right wing religious conservatives and Red necks racists and her new Party will be the(CPA) COMMUNIST PARTY of AMERICA ....... that way when she gets elected she can take way the rights of the Media that she Hates so much and let them only print and publish what she wants about her........and take away all our rights so that we can't say anything bad about her or her family

Palin would do a much better job as president than the doofus we are stuck with. And if I was Palin, I wouldn't let the media cover anything I did based on their incompetent, biased reporting.

LOL! This is the funniest post yet! Palin knows she's a jerk and an embarassment so why not get paid to be stupid? Can she see China from Alaska too? Priceless Sarah!

Palin has a lot of insight and wisdom to offer these so-called financial experts in Hong Kong. Undoubtedly she will excite the room with her charisma. In 2008 Palin inspired an adoring public and now she pursues a higher calling to be a voice for common people while burnishing her international creditials. There is no doubt she is the frontrunner for 2012.

This is an obvious preemptive attempt to avoid embarrassment.

I doubt it will be successful.

Of course, it's close. Palin is in COMMUNIST China, where she'll be making deals with that country's COMMUNIST leaders. She wouldn't want anyone to find out about that.

Who better than Palin to discuss the intricacies of world commerce. This woman is a scholar who can shed light on the problems facing countries in the world when it comes to trade. No media will be allowed because she is speaking in a Mandarin dialect that can't be understood by most of the western world. Mrs. Palin is truly the best representative that we could possibly send anywhere in the world to solve problems and enlighten the masses.

You might want to pay close attention to how China does things. After all, they can bankrupt you any time they want. China is steadily conquering the US – without a shot fired. Hello? Anybody home?
