Bush on Obama: 'This guy has no clue'

Bush on Obama: 'This guy has no clue'.

Bush on Obama: 'This guy has no clue'.

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Former President George W. Bush "seemed to feel considerable unease" with John McCain as the Republican presidential nominee, according to ex-speechwriter Matt Latimer in his tell-all memoir on his days in the White House.

In Latimer's new book, "Speech-less: Tales of a White House Survivor," set to hit bookstores on September 22, he reveals Bush's reactions to the economic collapse, the presidential campaign, and other memorable events. GQ published an excerpt from the memoir in its October issue.

Latimer said Bush liked Mitt Romney best and that he was "clearly not impressed with the McCain operation." Latimer said the former president wanted to appear with McCain at a campaign event in Phoenix, but after he was told the then-Republican nominee couldn't get enough people to show up, he called it a "cruel hoax."

"'He couldn't get 500 people? I could get that many people to turn out in Crawford.' He shook his head. 'This is a five-spiral crash, boys.'"

Bush presumed Hillary Clinton would be the Democratic nominee, according to Latimer, and was extremely critical of Barack Obama. Latimer said Bush was "ticked off" after one of Obama's speeches and he said the future president wasn't "remotely qualified" for the challenges of the job.

"(Bush) came in one day to rehearse a speech, fuming. 'This is a dangerous world,' he said for no apparent reason, 'and this cat isn't remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you,'" Latimer said.

Latimer also made the controversial assertion that after Sarah Palin was tapped as McCain's running mate, Bush reportedly asked whether she was "the governor of Guam" and said that she was "not even remotely prepared." A former Bush and Palin aide has challenged the accuracy of the charge.

Obama "not remotely qualified for THE job"... coming from Dumbya, that is a compliment.

Now, why doesn't he slink away so we can finally be at peace after the decade of damage he caused???

The only thing Bush had to get him the job of the POTUS was the last name "Bush." Whether he wants to face it or not, he was the worst & most dangerous President in history.

All the Repubs on this chain are so ridiculous. Pres. Obama is cleaning up the mess that Bush left. McCain did not have the slightest clue about economics & he was going to help us how? Are you kidding me? Come to the table with ideas or don't come at all....all your party can say is "NO."

Everyone is candy coating the condition Bush left this country in and blaming Pres. Obama. Most of the things these Repubs are complaining and protesting about were put into place by Bush. Throw your hatred and complaints to the right's a clue he is in Texas & and his name rhymes with PUSH!!!!

People keyword is qualifications. While most people criticize Bush for the past 8 years. At the same time period in Bushs administration, 9/11 just occurred. Everything he did has been overshadowed by that and the two wars. Bush has endured a lot in 8 years so he has something what only 42 people in the last 200 something years have: EXPERIENCE OF BEING PRESIDENT. While he may have not been the greatest he does know what he is talking about.

You Obama HATERS make me SICK...there is no reasoning with you. I believe God takes care of EVERYTHING..and I believe in my heart God is watching of President Obama. SO say want you want to say..President Obama has done more for this country in eight months than George W. Bush had done in the eight years he ran this country. President Obama needs to "brush his shoulders off"..and let God handle his enemies.

Wow!!! This coming from a guy who congratulated Brown on the job he did on Katrina, drove this country into the worst financial collapse since the Great Depression, got WAY over his head in two wars, one of which he started using 9/11 as an excuse (I still don't get how more people aren't offended at how he took advantage of 9/11 to get into a totally unrelated war in Iraq) and turned America into a country that other countries' politicians had to turn away from in order to become elected. And I'm not talking about Russia here; I'm talking about many of our former allies in Europe.

This is a guy who did the most unamerican thing possible and defended torture.

If THAT guy says Obama doesn't know how to be president, then, well...that may be the best endorsement Obama could have.

Bush was unqualified and I thought we'd learn our lessons about the dangers of unqualified presidents and elect McCain in 2008. Terrible politician, great man. By the way recessions are natural. We don't need to assign blame to anyone. I don't blame Nancy Pelosi for the recession.

    Bush is right and wrong.

Obama's presidency has been competely horrible. Universal health care reform will failure because it has been pushed for too long.

However, Bush must realize his mistakes.

And, of course, now we all know what Bush knew then.....the amateur community organizer isn't qualified to run a lemonade stand let alone the presidency.

History will prove George Bush wrong. History has already said that he is the 7th Worst President Ever. Do you think I care what the 7th Worst President Ever has to say. Right, I do not. GW should take his meds and leave politics to others. Paticularly since he butchered our beloved Constitution.

Here's a thought, since he doesn't have anything to do but run his trap he can suit up and go fight in Iraq–his favorite place.

George Bush thinks Obama was under-qualified to be President?

Considering that Texas is a "weak Governor" state where the Governor doesn't have a lot of real power, Bush was no more qualified than Obama.

George W Bush calling someone else's resume weak? Priceless.

Bush is in no position to question anyones intellegence. That's simply illogical. Someone fooled him and told him he was smart. Perhaps it was Cheney, but whomever it was, they lied to him..big time.
