  1. No Hillary = No Obama

Obama thinks his oratory will pass for leadership. Combine that with his ego-need to be center stage all the time and guess what, Americans have elected another dud.

  3. Proud member of the party of Yes We Can!

As the "top Democrat" in the Democratic party the President has every right to express to Paterson that he does not believe he will be helping the party if he runs and those of you who think he's doing something wrong by expressing that to Paterson are, once again, IDIOTS! Many other Presidents, Republican & Democrat alike, have done the exact same thing. Obama is not the first and he will not be the last, SO PLEASE GET OFF HIS BACK FOR EVERY LITTLE THING . . . . IT'S OLD AND TIRED ALREADY!!!

Here is the big problem rearing its ugly head again- the federal government must stay out of the states issues. States need to start standing up against such things.

Eddie, you say that "liberals account for only 19%-25% of the U.S. population, while "the clear majority lean heavily toward conservatism, almost 70%"....I'm not sure where you got your statistics, but they're obviously skewed. If they were correct, Obama never would have been elected in the first place.

Paterson needs to understand that since he was not selected by Obama he needs to withdrawal. The almighty one has spoken. I would call this action racist or dicriminatory, but I am not a liberal.

I like Patterson. I like Obama too, and I'll be the first to say that he needs to stay out of the N.Y. Governor's race...

And for those of you making your off the hand comments about Muslims..this is America and last I checked, we are free to practice whatever religious beliefs we want to...if you believe in the constitution like you "claim" to, you wouldn't have a problem with muslims being approved to pray at the Capitol (WHY WOULD ANYONE BE UP IN ARMS ABOUT THAT ANYWAY???!!!!) OUR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM IS A CIVIL AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT NO MATTER WHAT RELIGION YOU ARE IN THIS COUNTRY!!!!! Deal with it.

is this the big squeeze? the president trying to help the gov. 'see' the light? maybe not such a good idea, especially with the reports that POTUS is trying to convince the gov not to run.

All you people complaining must have voted for Bush. Remember without your vote for "'W" there would be no Obama, so just shut up and take it till 2012 then Mrs. Obama will be our next president until 2020. So all you haters have a long hard road ahead of you, might I suggest pain pills...Ha, Ha, Ha..

The President is right to "encourage" Mr. Patterson not to run in the next election. We New Yorkers would be in much better shape had Elliott Spitzer stayed on as Governor. He did no worse than many other, i.e. MANY other politicians. Let's bring Spitzer back and finally make some real improvements in this state of New York. Patterson is a nice guy – he just doesn't have the clout needed to run the great late state of New York.
