Obama: Iran, North Korea must comply with nuclear treaties

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) – President Barack Obama said Wednesday that Iran and North Korea "must be held accountable" if they continue to ignore international nuclear weapons treaties.

"If the governments of Iran and North Korea choose to ignore international standards; if they put the pursuit of nuclear weapons ahead of
regional stability and the security and opportunity of their own people; if they are oblivious to the dangers of escalating nuclear arms races in both East Asia and the Middle East - then they must be held accountable," Obama said in his first speech as president to the U.N. General Assembly.

"The world must stand together to demonstrate that international law is not an empty promise, and that treaties will be enforced," he continued. "We must insist that the future not belong to fear."

It's all talk. Most world leaders are stubborned and in constant search for power to dominate others for their own ego and pride.
Nothing will change. The rich and powerfull countries will always step on the poor ones.
Look at most Africa nations compare to other rich nations in the world. They rich countries will continue to rob resources from the unarmed poor african countries, will continue to put their person of choice for leadership to continue the robbery, the killings and the misery of african people and no one will say crap as long as their populations benefits from this insane practices.
They give so little to this countries in order to take everything while the population is in misery. It's wrong, immoral and shamefull.

Will he hold his breath if they don't? I'm sure they're quaking in their boots right now. Maybe Iran will crank up a few more centrifuges and talk about obliterating Israel and NK can launch a few more nukes in response. I mean, they all like us now right?

    Mr. President,

Can you explain the reasoning why you stopped our anti missile defense system in Eastern Europe please? I think this was a very bad move by our nation to lay down to Russia. Russia and Venezuala are good friends now and Russia is supplying them with nuclear power. This is a horrible situation. What are you going to do about this?

Or what, he'll hold his breath until he turns blue? The reason the rest of the world likes Obama is because they know he has no backbone and they can push him around.

    1. We lost about 2800 people in the 9/11 attacks.
    2. To remedy that Bush caused 4300 US Troops to die.
    3. Still the Threat Persists and Al Quida is Existing and Not Eliminated.
    4. Actually none of the 9/11 terrorists were from Iraq. We have already spent $3 Trillion on Iraq war. Had we given this money Already Spent on Iraq War to Al Quida, they would probably promise never to attack us………..
    5. Bush has Bankrupted America.............
    6. Bush is a Dummy ..............
    7. Bush has Failed and Lost the Iraq War.................

    PS.

President Obama has been president for NINE MONTHS. Give the man a chance to lead. Nine months is hardly enough time to change the serious mistakes of the Bush Regime!

    PEACE NOW!
