HONG KONG, China (CNN) -- Sarah Palin touched on a host of topics - including Reaganomics, China and human rights, Tibet, the Asian and U.S. economies, family and moose in Alaska - as she delivered a speech to investors Wednesday in Hong Kong, according to audience members.
The former Republican vice presidential candidate was the keynote speaker at the 16th CLSA Investors' Forum, in what was billed as her first speech outside North America. She recently stepped down as Alaska's governor.
Her 90-minute address, which was closed to the media, was heard by 1,100 people, according to CLSA head of communications Simone Wheeler.
Those who attended her speech said she did well, though some could be seen leaving early on. A few of those people said they were heading to other forum offerings. Most people declined to speak with the media about the speech.

The more I learn about the woman, the less and less I like her. Never really liked her much to begin with. She can deliver a speech so that's something I guess. But, now, I just see her as a festering wound that won't go away. Please, can we fixate on someone who has some common sense and integrity and intelligence.

Hmm, I wonder what "did well" means when referring to a Palin speech...she didn't didn't lose her place on the teleprompter; she didn't throw in too many winks; or she looked really good in that short tight skirt and 3" heels? If I had to listen to and try to decipher her for 90 minutes, I'd be out the door as well!
Most people declined to speak with the media about the speech. So, they don't mind being stupid in private? Okaaaayyyy.... I'd put my money elsewhere if I were you guys....
The media would villianize her even if it was the best speech ever given in the history of planet earth. They don't like her because she is a Christian that doesn't like to kill babies so in their world whe is bad.
This woman is an embarrasement to the US. Why do people think she has anything to say? She is beyond stupid. My God I hope no one thinks speaks for the people of this country. Why would anyone stay to hear a speech from someone who can see Russia from her house. Palin has nothing to offer. She is unskilled, poorly educated and badly informed. She is merely the darling of the far right and will use her limited abilities to stir up troubles for good people everywhere who are working to solve problems. Unlike her they cannot quit when the going gets tough or requires honesty and hard work to get things done that helps the majority.

Tell me again why a bunch of financial geeks wanted to hear from this woman? Was her minor economics? Nope. Did she leave Wasilla in a financial hole. Yes. Is Alaska also in trouble financially right now? Yes. So what expertise could she possibly share for 90 minutes? No wonder she was in seclusion...her speechwriters must have been up for weeks coming up with this speech that she doesn't want the rest of the world to hear. Who want's to hear brainless thing in this planet. The guys behind her are just nuts like her and with something to gain, you need to understand todays world economy and trade that is out of balance, we need people with real credential and wide experience in topic that affect the entire world, is waist of time and we just look very sick in the eyes of the other countries around the world, we need to stop this thing called Sarah and keep her in Alaska taking care of her disfunctional family.
This is interesting. Sarah Palin trying to boost her 'foreign policy credentials' and the media is not allowed to see exactly what that is. Wouldn't you want the world to see how much of an expert on foreign policy you have become? Not unless you have something to hide. We all know that she is not exactly the brightest bulb in the room and I think her handlers were afraid to show the rest of the world that.
