Some early exits as Palin woos Hong Kong investors

Sarah Palin's speech at CLSA Investors' Forum appeared to be largely well received.
Sarah Palin's speech at CLSA Investors' Forum appeared to be largely well received.

HONG KONG, China (CNN) -- Sarah Palin touched on a host of topics - including Reaganomics, China and human rights, Tibet, the Asian and U.S. economies, family and moose in Alaska - as she delivered a speech to investors Wednesday in Hong Kong, according to audience members.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate was the keynote speaker at the 16th CLSA Investors' Forum, in what was billed as her first speech outside North America. She recently stepped down as Alaska's governor.

Her 90-minute address, which was closed to the media, was heard by 1,100 people, according to CLSA head of communications Simone Wheeler.

Those who attended her speech said she did well, though some could be seen leaving early on. A few of those people said they were heading to other forum offerings. Most people declined to speak with the media about the speech.

Can we just stop covering Palin? She is like a Drama Queen and brings nothing to the table that makes a DIFFERENCE. It' s time to move on.

I find it amusing that the same folks who want her to go away are following her private life and career with great enthusiasm. Get a life, libs!

Why is she going overseas to bash the US policy? interesting....Who would listen to her – she doesn't even represent the US and their policies...So I'm not sure why anyone would want to listen to her.

Sarah rocks! Wow, speaking about the free-market. No wonder she had to leave America, where the Marxist slimeball is waiting to give Adolph Immanutjob from Iran a big hug, after "fist-bumping" Hoogo Chavez and other thugs of the world.

Typical GOP tactics ... secrecy. What's done in the dark always comes to light eventually.

Please stop covering this woman. She only got 12% in the straw poll vote with values voters. Even the Republicans are not that interested.

Values Voter what are their values anyway? They do not resemble christianity, or compasions.... I can only conclude they value unregulated capitalism, and status quo.

Of course attendees left early and didn't want to comment on her.
They are die hard Republicans who are too ashamed of her to admit that she is a drone and a bore and not altogether bright.
But hey, that's no secret. Her looks are her main drawing card.
After that, you're not left with much.

Of course come people left, these conventions have multiple activities going on at the same time. That's how it works, and it happens to everyone.

I hope those people know she doesn't represent the SANE people in this country.

How can the queen of the right-wing fringe nuts be allowed to speak on foreign soil?

    Shameful !

...including Reaganomics, China and human rights, Tibet, the Asian and U.S. economies, family and moose in Alaska"

They left early because she was with smart folks that knew she could not have known about those issues without the backing of her speech writer. Interview the crazy lady and it will be revealed – she should not have gone there trying to put on a front that she is worthly to be with heavy weight's in true smarts.

Palin we have our choosen Prez....U know the one whom you "hate" because he is smart and won. Get over it. You messed up big time - Now begone you foolish lady!

Thought I don't support the Soicalist Obama agenda. I also not a great lover of Palin. Yet you have to be careful in the united states we are a star driven society. We love to follow people like B.Spears. Always wondering when the next star is going to crash. Yet be careful sometimes the star never dies. Sometimes she may get to where she wants to go. WASHINGTON DC.

I really think it is disgraceful that she would go to another country and bad mouth the President of the United States. This is when she should be behind and defending our President, whether she believed in that person or not. That's another reason why I dislike her so much. She needs to go home and be amother to her son. She's a disgrace and I would never in a million years vote for her.

Palin is the only republican with a shot at 2012, and berry knows it. When sarah is unedited her Numbers go sky high with the independents. Palin has the base on her side she just needs to work on the independents.
