Palin's book to be called 'Going Rogue: An American Life'

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Sarah Palin's much-anticipated memoir now has a title and a new release date, two advisers to the former Alaska governor confirmed to CNN on Monday.

Palin's book will be called "Going Rogue: An American Life" - a reference to the anonymous criticism directed at Palin by aides to Republican presidential nominee John McCain during the final days of last year's presidential race.

After Palin strayed from the campaign playbook several times in October 2008, one McCain adviser griped to CNN that the vice presidential nominee was "going rogue." Another called her a "diva."

The book's publisher, Harper, has ordered a substantial first printing of 1.5 million copies and moved up the release date to November 17 - conveniently in time for the holiday shopping season. The memoir was originally slated for release in the spring of 2010.

Palin inked the book deal last May after hiring Washington, D.C. lawyer Robert Barnett to negotiate the terms. Her collaborator on the book is Lynn Vincent, an editor at "World," a conservative Christian magazine.

I wish Sarah Palin well in her new endeavor as a political satirist.

Can't wait for this book. I am certain that it will be very interesting, and informative. Sarah is #1 in my book. Looking forward to watching her grow in the public eye and continue to add her wisdom to the political debate.

Much anticipated by whom? Nutcases on the right and bored cable news producers. The rest of us will pass in this waste of ink.

One of the main problems with Sarah Palin is that she believes her own rhetoric. John McCain now realizes that choosing her as a running mate was a mistake, while Palin still thinks it was a great idea. This is a woman with no real political experience, who claims to have done many wonderful things for Alaska (resigning was the best thing she did), when in reality she has done very little. She is a lightweight when it comes to world affairs, but believes that her great smile will overcome all obstacles.

The media continues to cover her antics, as rabidly as they did those of Paris Hilton; but as with the Keystone Kops, her antics continue to amuse people. Why? Because she is the epitome of a bimbo; all looks and few constructive brain cells. Anyone who can resign from an office to which the people elected her, because she knows she is a lame duck governor, deserves to be ignored by the media.

Too bad CNN hates Palin. Maybe if she killed babies instead of feeding them then you would like her.

I am starting to think that Sarah Palin is a secret genious. I know that sounds crazy but think about it. This woman was somehow able to talk her way from mayor of Wasilla Alaska, which is like the equivalent of being the mayor of disneyland, and parlay that into a short run as governor and the republican vice-presidential pick. Now she is a recognizeable face for the increasingly polarized republican party sort of like Rush Limbaugh or Glen Beck which can make you lots of money, just ask Rush, but will never leave you broad enough to capture indepandant voters and finiky democrats that the republicans must have to win a presidential election. For those who are dumb enough to listen to or take any value in the ideas of that crazy woman, you deserve to lose whatever rediculous price she charges for this litterary piece of moose crap. Well, thats my Palin rant hope you enjoyed it.

Wow...that is just a ridiculous title. I'd have alot more respect if she'd just been honest and called it "Going Vogue."

She very notably used "rogue" in its most perjorative sense when she went after her Public Safety Commissioner after he refused to do her bidding. Now her ownership of the word as something brave and gutsy exposes her for the shameless hyprocrite she is.

Palin's book would be the last thing I would spend my money on and I wouldn't take it if it was offered free. It will have to be ghost written just to make any sense.

It will be interesting to see the book reviews ... however I can't imagine a book written in 4 months as being very deep or insightful.

I remember the good ol' days when a person had to be able to read before they could "write" a book. This will be right up there with Paris Hilton's "Memoir" ...

It is both hilarious and consistent in that the title of the book is a derogatory term applied to Palin by Republicans. That she now believes is some kind of badge of honor.

Anyone who pays cover price for this book is crazy, for it will be piled high in the remainders shelves for $2.99 within a few months.
