WASHINGTON (CNN)–Vice President Joe Biden vows to continue campaigning for Virginia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds.

"I hope to god you understand this race is winnable," Biden said Thursday at a fundraiser for Deeds in Alexandria, Virginia.

A new Washington Post poll suggests Deeds trails Republican candidate Bob McDonnell, the state's former attorney general, by nine points. Biden also made reference to New Jersey Gov. John Corzine, who is facing a tough bid for re-election, saying,"they declared him dead two weeks ago. He is now ahead."

The most recent polls in New Jersey indicate that Corzine is basically tied with Republican challenger Chris Christie, a former federal prosecutor.

Boy, Biden must not have much to do in DC if he has all this time to campaign. Has the economy improved and we just don't see it? I did not know the VP just campaigns for other candidates.

Along with obama and pewlosi biden should be charged for high treason and impeached for what they are doing to our military in Afghanistan! Impeach the 3 traitors and let them go to some other country and cozy up with the taliban. Maybe the extra 7 states obama seems to think we have.

So to Joe Biden, tied is ahead? I guess that helps explain why he was claiming victory for the Stimulus bill last month just before we hit a new record for unemployment. He's got a credibility issue.

Thanks for the help, Biden, but could you stay away? You're scaring off moderate voters.

Deeds and Corzine are doomed, not because of Biden's help, although that is the kiss of death, but because of a failed social philosophy. Look at the liberal philosophy as a mirror image of the auto industry Unions or our social security system, or even better Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme. If you have more taking a hand out rather than worker's paying in, it is destined for failure.

Funny that none of the liberal fringe complain that Joe's Afghan policy is exactly like Rumsfield's policy in Iraq.

Keep campaigning Joe, you're doing a great job for the Republican party.

Deeds needs to win in Virginia. McDonnell's voting record should be brought to the attention of the people in Virginia. Make it known. The real voting record speaks for itself. People must learn to educate themselves rather than following name recognition and voting only party. The people deserve better. Gov. Warner's record shows why.

The people of Virginia are too smart to allow the likes of McDonnell to lead them off a cliff.

I just say if we want and wish to preserve the positive view of America, the admiration to the America Democracy from our friends and our eternal critics(Khadafi,Castro,Kim,Putin,Chavez, etc)the best thing we can do is: keep the Democratic power in place for at least some years. We can not create doubts that our country is going to come back to the "old scare tactics", the prepotency and the fierce disruption against the rest of the world. We have to regain trust from the world after the earthquake made by Walt Street and the GOP.It's the first time in years America can't be acussed of intimidation to other countries, invade, disrupt, export policies and politics. Please we need PEACE for our beautiful land!!!!!vote Democrat
