Liz Cheney gets serious with Obama foreign policy attacks

Liz Cheney and her father have been among the most forceful conservative critics of President Obama's foreign policy.
Liz Cheney and her father have been among the most forceful conservative critics of President Obama's foreign policy.

(CNN) - Months after her father's prolonged campaign against President Obama's national security policies, Liz Cheney is spearheading a new organization aimed at organizing conservative opposition to the new administration's foreign policy approach.

The new group, Keep America Safe, says its aim is to provide a cogent and organized rebuttal to a series of recent moves that expressly divert from the more muscular policies of the Bush administration. The group plans to tackle hot-button issues like the way forward in Iraq and Afghanistan, defense spending, CIA interrogation techniques and the planned closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention facility.

"We have watched with concern and dismay as the Obama administration has cut defense spending, wavered on the war in Afghanistan, and launched investigations into Americans serving on the front lines of the war on terror, while at the same time expanding legal protections for the terrorists that plot to attack this country," Cheney, along with the group's two other founders, wrote on its Web site. "These policies, along with President Obama's abandonment of America's allies and attempts to appease our adversaries are weakening the nation."

Weekly Standard Editor William Kristol and Debra Burlingame, the sister of the pilot of American Airlines Flight 77 - the flight that crashed into the Pentagon on 9/11 - are also heading up the new effort.

The new group says its goal is to focus media attention on continuing and emerging national security threats, and marshal grassroots opposition to the president's policies.

Anyone who sees her as a credible source on issues of foreign policy hated Obama to begin with. So, in the end, it is futile.

"Keep America Safe". Sounds good. But where were you, Liz Cheney, when your father orchestrated the greatest false flag op in history? Oh, that's right! Basking in the profits of war, along with your father and his Haliburton, et al, cronies. Cheney & Friends don't want to keep America safe! They want to keep the status quo safe. War equals profits. But most Americans want OUT of these wars – which do NOT keep America safe – and that means the Cheney's and their evil allies lose their funding. That is ALL they care about. period. This ain't no Liberal talking either. Just someone who took Eisenhowers departing words seriously.

I also love how these types of people use the public's respect for the military to say things when, if you check their records (and you can check all the Cheney's records) every one of them dodged military service like it was the Black Plague.

    Liz,
We didn't listen to your father when he was in office, why do you think we would listen to you? Your father is a joke and so are you!

And of course Liz's father is a great example of a Politician with a successful US foreign policy history which has resulted in 2 wars and a near bankrupt economy.

Brilliant!!! but then again who knows that he may have become very wealthy because of all this. I wonder!! Ya right!!

People like the Cheneys, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, and John McCain are symbolic of what is wrong with America to-day. They are completely out of touch with how the average American lives and has to endure these days.

The President's foreign policy is going perfect in my eyes. He is restoring our tarnished image that Liz's daddy and his boss are resposible for. Liz Cheney needs to shut up. Just because your dad was the VP doesn't give her any credibilty in foreign policy. She sounds just as coocku as her daddy.

And her qualifications are exactly what? A sneering warhawk draft dodging father?

Bush/Cheney did not keep us safe. They started two insane wars which has resulted in enraging and inflaming the Islam fanatics.

Obama has kept us safe adn will continue to do so. He retained Gates as SECDEF which has kept the war management seamless.

Liz couldn't advise her dad on the war. So why would any body in this admin. want to listen to you.

If American had agree with the Bush policies, McCain would have been President. So go set down some where and shut up and let this president untangle this mess you guys left.

Lies, Lies, and more Lies! These people are ignorant. Especially about other human beings living in the world.
Also, I think they should put their butts on the line in the War in Afghanistan. They have no problem sending others to die for their falsehoods. So how about it, Liz grab a rifle and go fight!

Liz is obviously cut from the same cloth as her evil and maniacal father, with a dash of Limbaugh thrown in to top it off. You might as well be talking to a fence post than to expect anything intelligent to spew from her pie hole. They should both move to Saudi Arabia where their true friends reside and leave this country alone. Oh, and by the way Liz, we are going to throw your Dad in jail, so you might as well get used to it.
