Great news! And she is one of the greatest Republicans on the scene. The Republican party needs alot more Snowes in the party to keep the party going.

Snowe is a modern Judas and should be thrown out from the republican party. The party can not trust her and can not rely of her support anyway.

"Keep your government out of my Medicare!"
-real quote from Tea Bagger at Health Care Rally.

If you don't get the idiocy, you are clealry misinformed and should not comment on health care reform.

Are we law-abiding, military draft eligible American citizens living in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and Guam included in this bill?

Vote her out! She needs to just say no or join the greedy tax and spend Democrats.

Yeah, but with what kind of "caveats?" There really needs to be a trigger for the Public Optin, and I hope there will be. Once the Insurance Thieves refuse to cooperate, we can FINALLY have Medicare for all.

    This was expected.

The sad part is that most people can only sit outside the arena and voice their opion which surely doesn't seem to make a difference to the gators inside the arena.

If it weren't for the few moderate [R]s left, the average congressional [R] IQ would be 10. As it is, its only 25 anyway.

I guess this is good news but seriously, who cares?

I don't care what republicans think, I just want action.

I see comments are moderated - So I will just say that I hope no Republican funds (RNC, GOP, etc) going to her re-election....this is exactly why I will not give to these entities anymore!

As Shakespeare put it "what ever wound did heal but by degrees?"

Healthcare is severely wounded in its current state and this vote will be the first major step in its reform. Obviously a lot of us progressives would like to see a robust public option in the final draft, but we're ever so nearer with the passage of the Baucus bill.

It's nearly certain that they'll be some form of public option in the end.

I have come to respect Olympia Snowe, as she has been deliberate, and seems to always vote for her constituents. No surpriese that Maine is not as rooted in conservative fiscal retraint. This is more of an historical time, than we can ever imagine. If this bill passes as is,
we will look back with remorse and contempt for those who pushed this upon America. They simply do not know what they are doing, but
they will come to understand it, then will come the blame game.
Olympia Snowe, you may become as important to our history as Benedict Arnold. Stay tuned...

Ms. Snowe. Come on to the Democrats' side. Stop these charade of pretending that you're still a Republican. Even, they don't want you in their Party. You're too intelligent. You will just be banging your head the wall if you believe you can still change this party of ignoramuses from the inside.
