DNC knocks Steele on his birthday

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele turned 51 on Monday.

Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele turned 51 on Monday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Monday marks the occasion of Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele's 51st birthday.

The RNC doesn't appear to have anything special planned.

But Democratic National Committee spokesman Hari Sevugan is celebrating with - what else? - a little snark.

"We're not Facebook friends, so I didn't know it was his birthday," Sevugan e-mailed CNN. "But he's given us so many gifts, I feel like we certainly owe him something."

The Republicans are NOT giving any special notice or acknowledgment of Steele's birthday

    NOT a Very GOOD Sign

    Update that resume, Michael

The Democrats should be nice to Mr. Steele on his birthday. There is always tomorrow to ask him if he has any idea what the heck he is talking about!

Give the republican "token" a token birthday gift. Hey, GOP, give him a chicken neck and a watermelon. You know - like what you did to our PRESIDENT. Turn about is fair play ----- family values christians.

RNC chair Steele was just a prop. Much like John McCain who picked Sara Palin because she was a woman and he thought they would get Hillary's votes...Steele was picked because he was black. The republicans figured they would show some diversity. Except our black President is a Harvard grad and professor and the republican black chair is a boob!

This dem is making fun of Steele because he's black. That's racist!! would he have said it if the man was white? just because Steele is a GOP that does not make it right for anyone to be racists towards the man.

I don't think that Michael Steele has given Americans any gift quite like the $1.4 trillion deficit that the democrats gave us in just 9 months of this year or the $10 trillion additional deficit over the next 10 years that they gave us as well, or the 3 million jobs lost since Obama became president, etc.

The DNC is the gift that keeps on giving until the US is utterly bankrupt.

Mr. Steele needs to examine himself and realize that he is supporting the wrong side of all the issues for Americans. We need leaders of impeccable character, values and intent. Why is this man even in this party. Most of them don't like brown people of any kind. Maybe he thinks they'll come round one day? Or maybe he was raised by alien invaders? Or maybe the money on the dark side is just too good to worry about his soul? Or maybe he is just crazy enough to believe the Sociopathic Party?m For your birthday now Mr. Steele, I invite you to get your head on straight as a good Libra! My birthday is on Thursday, the 22nd and I am for Harmony, Balance and Peace. Come join us and Get Free, Mr. Steele. Peace

It has to be hard for the republicans to accept that Bush added to the national debt by giving almost $800 billion to the banking industry with no strings attached.

Steele, the gift that keeps on giving...LOL. The GOP like Steele are the wrong side of what the American people want. However, people who quote numbers that they hear on Fix News should do a little honest research on their own for the truth. However that would just destroy their arguments. The $1.4 trillion deficit was always there because it includes all costs, including the cost of the wars, which Bush never included in his reporting, just hid that truth along with many others.

Steele is doing wonders for the GOP. His efforts have increased their favorability to the mid 20%.

As much as I support (currently) the DNC over the RNC, this is not necessary. Both of these parties need to knock off the childish sniping and get to their base ideals.

For example, the DNC on this and RNC on the Pelosi=Hitler ordeal. None of it is good for this country going forward.

The Republican Party is a disgrace and an abomination. There is something putrid about these guys and gals. The Republican Parties of past decades did not make me want to shower after I hear or see them speak on issues. I think it may have started with the Newt Gingrich Crew a few years back.

If a republican sniped a democratic leader on his birthday, it would be the lead story on the CNN website, and the media would be calling for his resignation.

The double standard is killing me, and I'm not even too crazy about Republicans myself right now.

How about a cetified copy of Obama's real birth certificate. Not a certificate of live birth. There is a difference. Why does not Obama just put it to rest, what is he hiding. Who has seen his Harvard Transcripts, why is he hiding them also? At least GW Bush, and John Kerry were forth coming enough with theirs.
