Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has joined LinkedIn, a professional networking Web site.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Sarah Palin has placed her resume on LinkedIn.

Known as the “Facebook for professionals,” LinkedIn is a social media site that displays more than 50 million people’s resumes and allows for virtual business networking for those interested in keeping in touch or finding a job. Palin’s resume includes her position as “Vice Presidential Candidate” for the 2008 election and goes back to 1992 where she was the Council Member for the Wasilla City Council.

LinkedIn lists years of employment as well; her profile says Palin was the governor of the State of Alaska for two years and seven months.

Palin also notes that she is interested in “Job inquiries, expertise requests, business deals, reference requests, and getting back in touch.”

Her 2008 running mate John McCain joined LinkedIn during the campaign to participate in “LinkedIn Answers,” a part of the site where people can ask questions and get answers from professionals. McCain asked, “What is the biggest challenge America faces?”

This quitter and cheat had better call on Fox......you know....where you need no training or expereince ....just a BIG mOUTH and can rant and rave about right wing lunacy........or maybe Wildlife magazine needs some features on Mooose poaching....er....I mean hunting.

Of course "circus clown" fits her as well!!!!

Anyone can create an account on LinkedIn, and claim that they are Mickey Mouse, Jim Morrison, or Jesus Christ, without having to actually prove their identity. Before I'd ever post an article like this I'd at least ensure that the person behind the LinkedIn account is truly who they say they are. When Barack was campaigning for president, a coworker of mine got "linkedin" to Barack. I read that someone on his staff created the account and monitored it for him.

We have Paris Hilton to thank for people like Palin. She showed us that all it takes is being "hot" and you're in. One look at her weak resume and the thought of her advancing in politics any further is simply terrifying.

CNN is obsessed with Sarah Palin. I guess it's ok. A little excessive but ok.

Tdom8890   October 18th, 2009 9:59 pm ET

Really? This is what CNN considers news? Didn't the whitehouse just accuse FOX of not being a news network? This is sad. I'm no palin fan but anyone who isn't a brainwashed by the left or the right can see CNN"s obsession with her. It's sad really. She wasn't cut out for national politics but she was good at the local level. Meanwhile...Biden is 10 times more of an idiot than she is and I don't see CNN hammering him?

James E   October 18th, 2009 9:59 pm ET

Do I really care that Palin on a social networking site for professionals? Unfortunately, her backgrounds needs lots to be desired so not hiring her at any time soon...

NOTE TO CNN: Stop reporting on her because she has not been able to articulate without referring to someone's quote to make her point..

I'm a Liberal-You got a problem with that?   October 18th, 2009 9:57 pm ET

I find it interesting that people find a way to turn this article into an excuse to slam President Obama (you know, the guy who handily beat McCain and this twit). I also find it amusing that most of them spell "Nobel" incorrectly when criticizing the President. It's not Noble, morons.

paul   October 18th, 2009 9:57 pm ET

I wonder if the Resume included – "Many hours of keeping an eye on Russia from my porch".

Alaskan   October 18th, 2009 9:56 pm ET

Who cares? What kind of jobs is she looking for? She does not like to work for Alaskan people as Governor, then what kind of jobs is she trying to work have job then quit again? forget it.

RRRUSA   October 18th, 2009 9:56 pm ET

Wonder how many days it took her to figure out the website? Or...did her ghostwriter setup the LinkedIn account, just like they wrote her 'book'?
This woman does nothing for herself......does not see any task through to the end......or anything from the start.......she joins things in the middle and quits before the end.....a TRUE bozette!
Palin puts herself off as 'a woman of the people available to all...but remember to have the charity dinner with her, you had to pass a Background Check'....so this is all the spin of her publicist...this woman is NOT accessible, is not friendly, is not a person of the people...she is a political hack seeking advancement only for herself...don't be naive.

CM   October 18th, 2009 9:55 pm ET

Did Ms Palin put on her resume that she not only quit as governor, but that she quit five colleges (research) and the position of VP she lost . Be truthful on resumes; sooner or later the truth will pervail. People are not afraid of her they are afraid that the unqualified could try for a run, but until then she is constantly in the news. I thought she did not like the media. But she hides behind facebook, her pacs and now Linkedln.

JWS   October 18th, 2009 9:55 pm ET

Slick Nick   October 18th, 2009 9:53 pm ET

A fair number of comments about Mrs. Palin appear to me to be comming from women hating democratic socialists.

Did Ms Palin put on her resume that she not only quit as governor, but that she quit five colleges (research) and the position of VP she lost and was partly responsible for McCain losing. Be truthful on resumes; sooner or later the truth will pervail. People are not afraid of her they are afraid that the unqualified could try for a run, but until then she is constantly in the news. WV Gal   October 18th, 2009 9:43 pm ET

This woman is more retarded than her youngest son. She is anti-intellectual (doesn't like people who know more than she does) so she is incapable of learning any new job skills.

Besides, who cares what she does? The voters chose not to hire her and McCain to run the country, can't she get the message?

Joe   October 18th, 2009 9:43 pm ET

I hope she mentions that under her administration as mayor of Wasilla the rape victims had to pay for their own exam kits to the tune up to $1,000. Also did she mention she quit her last job?
Why would anyone want to hire a looser who may quit when the going gets tough?

"Here's a posting space so those who hate Sarah Palin for no real reason can start writing terrible hateful things about her here".

There's obviously NO REASON for this to be news. This is the daily post so CNN can manipulate their viewers.

I think Sarah Palin is an accomplished woman who was not given her career on a silver platter, like the Kennedy's get. She's earned a lot of respect each step of the way.

Obviously, liberals hate happy attractive intelligent conservative women. They are a threat to their way of life and stop at nothing to tear them down.

Rise above the CNN agenda!

Great how the White House cant build any new jobs, cant fix the economy, and cant solve unemployment.
But they spend every Sunday talking more about bankrupting the country with health care.

Your estimate for next year is 1 Trillion more.
Your estimate for the next three years is 1 trillion a year.

Wow. Welcome to Venezuela fans of the great barack.

Sarah Palin has good common sense and understands that the private free market business sector holds the key to our countries future. She will also tell you that our government is full of completely incompetent people and should be privatized out of existence. Government is the problem she will tell you, the private sector is the answer to our problems. This is why she resigned as governor and the rest of the Republican party is set to resign in the near future, they know that government is the problem!

yet more proof that cnn is feeding into the palin-hype. if cnn and other media outlets would just STOP this, then she'd disappear a whole lot quicker, because sarah palin is just not a person of substance.

She has painted those who criticize her as being unintelligent into a box. All they will every be able to do is say she is supid. Their argument was easily debunked by her own OP-Ed pieces, along with every Facebook posting she makes. Her latest Facebook posting on Health Care is indepth and shows common sense. Its time to admit she did not go from hockey mom to VP candidate by luck, or good looks. She went after each postition like the pitbull she is.

I wonder if her 'resume' indicates that she has quit every job she has ever had.

joel palmer   October 18th, 2009 7:24 pm ET

This is going to help her image a whole lot

Pikesville Paesano   October 18th, 2009 7:23 pm ET

S. Palin on linked in is news?!!?
Why? Because a republican has used technology for something other than waging war?
S,
You've just inspired me to Join our presidents linked In account.

Flip   October 18th, 2009 7:23 pm ET

Perhaps she can get a job at McDonald's, but on second thought she might get distracted and walk away from the fry machine.

Bev   October 18th, 2009 7:22 pm ET

Expertise requests?

Ken in NC   October 18th, 2009 7:22 pm ET

This is funny. This lady had a job, quit it and now she is back in the job market looking. I thought the process was to look for a job, find a job and then quit the other job. Oh well who knows how the space between her ears is wired.

mk   October 18th, 2009 7:21 pm ET

Professional what? Liar? Expertise request? She may be capable of helping a teen with a local beauty pagent, you know, how to flub around a real answer, or how to get an organization to buy you and your family a boatload of new designer clothes. You betcha! wink, wink, wink. PUKE.

bc   October 18th, 2009 7:20 pm ET

What happened to her agenda to "advocate for issues important" to her?

Jackson   October 18th, 2009 7:16 pm ET

would not hire her

Keith in Austin   October 18th, 2009 7:16 pm ET

You GO Sarah! Already, more people support YOU than Bozo the Nobleist'

Anonymous   October 18th, 2009 7:12 pm ET

Does her resume include the fact that she's a quiter?

David   October 18th, 2009 7:12 pm ET

I think she is going to take a corperate job.I just cant see this woman sitting around each day,no matter how much cash see is earning. As Govenor she was on the go 24-7.Something tells me she misses being on the go 24-7.My guess in the next few months she will be working in the buisness world, doing political stuff on the side. Its just in her nature to keep busy.I could be wrong but who knows?I just read her latest FB post.Again she is right on target, its a great article to the point.I hear fancy talk everyday off a teleprompter that makes as much sense as all the confusion in DC.This bill that bill, this cost #,that cost #.Secret meetings, amendments, kaos at its best.It is great to go read common sense in her clear words at Facebook. If government listened to her they would all have nothing to do.Gee maybe thats why they dont.

carol   October 18th, 2009 7:12 pm ET

There is a lot between the lines in that resume!!!!!

H-Town   October 18th, 2009 7:11 pm ET

Yawn....wha...what?......oh.....who cares. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Josh   October 18th, 2009 7:11 pm ET

You know, I wish instead of CNN simply reporting that she said this and that nonsense, they would point out whether or not any of it is actually true, or elaborate on it just a little bit. I have seen all kinds of stories on the health care bill, and NONE of them actually report in anything but the most superficial of detail on what the bill will actually do, what the consequences will be, what the benefits will be, etc.

Instead we get a story about this idiot starting a Linkedln account and some crap about what nonsense she said about health care. THANKS.

Oy Vey   October 18th, 2009 7:10 pm ET

Two years seven months? ... what is that? ... two or three whelpings?

And business deals? ... like eco-tourism in Alaska? Sage to the masses?

No no wait, I got it ... I can see a vast chain if Sara's School of Grammar spreading like dandelions.

What a plug for LinkedIn though ... huh? ... like an albatross ... LOL

Sean   October 18th, 2009 7:09 pm ET

Hmmm I do think there is an opening at Arby's. Thats typically the place for Community college grads like Sarah Palin.

Nea   October 18th, 2009 7:08 pm ET

I really think she loves being in the spotlight but cannot stand to be criticized, So in doing so she make boost her popularity.

Linda   October 18th, 2009 7:06 pm ET

Wal-Mart is looking for a seasonal greeter for the holidays...she'd be perfect for the job!

Kimberly from Hawaii   October 18th, 2009 7:04 pm ET

Sarah Palin is a joke.

Patty in California   October 18th, 2009 7:03 pm ET

There goes the LinkedIn neighborhood.....

virginia voter   October 18th, 2009 7:03 pm ET

Please, please, make this nut case go away.

victim of republican greed   October 18th, 2009 7:02 pm ET

Why won't some wingnut CEO hire her to get her off Alaska welfare?

Bill   October 18th, 2009 7:02 pm ET

Who cares?

Simmy   October 18th, 2009 7:00 pm ET

Can lipstick on Linkedln improve its persona?

Lucy   October 18th, 2009 6:58 pm ET

Isn't this a bit pathetic? Why is she using a service for college kids

C. Farrell, Houston, Tx   October 18th, 2009 6:58 pm ET

How about Palin's profile of how to be a quitter, how you too can see Russia from your backyard, how to grow a brain and if you don't blame it on someone else, how to let your childrens' boyfriends live with you, how not to master proper English, how you can get a degree in journalism after 8 years of college, how to cheat tax payers, etc.

Patriot   October 18th, 2009 6:57 pm ET

I could use someone to clean my toilet and do my ironing.....

Richard   October 18th, 2009 6:54 pm ET

I live in Alaska and would not support her for dog catcher at this point.

JSilver2th   October 18th, 2009 6:52 pm ET

Levi Johnston is signing up too- includes his position as “Vice Presidential Candidate future son-in-law"...

GI Joe   October 18th, 2009 6:52 pm ET

Typical – the less people want to see and hear from fools, the more they are there.

Oh well.

tls   October 18th, 2009 6:51 pm ET

What's scarier than having Bush Jr as president? This idiot! Unfortunately, there are a bunch of self-righteous republicans (especially women) who will vote for her because A.) she's republican and B.) she's a pretty woman. It doesn't take much to earn a republican's vote.

HarryB   October 18th, 2009 6:49 pm ET

Will you PLEASE quit reporting everything that this birdbrain does? She feeds on your attention. She has nothing to offer her constituents; she has nothing to offer the world. Anyone who thinks that she is the answer to anything good is dumber than she is, and that's going a long way!

HarryB   October 18th, 2009 6:49 pm ET

Susan   October 18th, 2009 6:47 pm ET

She is only interested in a job if it : pays big money, allows her to set her own hours (preferably very part time, like the Alaska legislature), does not require her to tell the truth about or apologize for anything she does wrong, and does not require her to talk to the big bad journalists at ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, or CNN. I guess that leaves FOX. I'm trying to imagine who would hire her for her "expertise." In what? Self-promotion? Domestic terrorist sightings? Motherhood? Witch hunting? Beauty pageants?

Ballin'Palin   October 18th, 2009 6:45 pm ET

Hahaha Yes. Can't wait till she gives up and just does porn.

Greg, San Francisco, CA   October 18th, 2009 6:45 pm ET

Wow Sarah, welcome to 2006! The great part about being on Linked In is seeing how many people you know for a fact to be unemployed who claim they are currently in a position of importance. Kinda like Sarah!

Tim from Tampa   October 18th, 2009 6:39 pm ET

Just don't expect to hire her for a long-term position.

jess Boldt   October 18th, 2009 6:35 pm ET

No way would I hire her.

Joe citizen abroad   October 18th, 2009 6:33 pm ET

Guess that's what you do when you quit your job with no prospects. There's always monster.com.

What Next?   October 18th, 2009 6:32 pm ET

I'm going to sign my house plants up for LinkedIn. The goldfish are next.

Mad Cow   October 18th, 2009 6:31 pm ET

If Sarah Palin wants to get lots of people interested in her site and get a lot of feedback, all she needs to do is borrow Meghan McCain's tank top.

HJA   October 18th, 2009 6:30 pm ET

"Palin also notes that she is interested in “Job inquiries, expertise requests, business deals, reference requests, and getting back in touch.” "

Job inquiries- need a job to quit
Expertise requests- have none, need some
Business deals-Big paycheck from book deal, I want more!
Reference requests-I want to be referred to as President
She's just wanting attention. She's so far "out of touch" there is no coming back.

lou   October 18th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

I really do not need to know every move this woman makes. Please give it a rest, cnn. She will turn out to be the biggest media hoax of all. Yet you continue to give her air time.

JonDie   October 18th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

Dear CNN,

I have heard a rumor that Sarah Palin fell asleep inside a hot air balloon and was carried away to parts unknown.

Since you are the best reporters on the planet, you might wish to get the scoop on this important developing story.

jas   October 18th, 2009 6:24 pm ET

It is so refreshing that she is making herself available to all. Obama is only available for staged events where everyone agrees with him.

Jeff in SF   October 18th, 2009 6:22 pm ET

I thought LinkedIn was for professionals?

StevieB   October 18th, 2009 6:21 pm ET

If it is a site for professionals, how did Palin get accepted when she has shown herself to be anything but in every job she has held?

Randy   October 18th, 2009 6:21 pm ET

She doesn't have anything to say stupid is stupid does

gertie w   October 18th, 2009 6:18 pm ET

biggest challenge faced by America? Getting rid of clowns like Mccain and Palin before they ruin what's left of our nation.

Susan   October 18th, 2009 6:17 pm ET

old news. she is on Linkedin for a long time.
CNN sucks.
She probably modified it to add "quitting" as her new achievement.

Andy   October 18th, 2009 6:16 pm ET

Irrelevant.

chesapeakephil   October 18th, 2009 6:15 pm ET

beware of palindrones

hawk   October 18th, 2009 6:07 pm ET
