(CNN) - Just how tightly scripted did the White House manage U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's nomination process?
Obama administration officials even picked out which suit Sotomayor wore when President Obama formally announced her as his nominee for the high court early this summer.
According to the New Haven Register, Sotomayor told fellow classmates at her Yale Law School Reunion over the weekend she had planned to buy a new outfit for the event, but the White House instead asked she bring five suits to Washington, one of which they would pick for her to wear.
Sotomayor also discussed the administration's grueling vetting process, which included the dispatch of an FBI agent to investigate a parking ticket she incurred more than two years ago, according to the Yale Daily News.
Sotomayor, who graduated from Yale in 1979, also described her first meeting with President Obama last spring.
"It was a conversation like none other that I have ever had," adding that she "almost fainted."

She can complain about the vetting process all she wants, but the rest of us are grateful about it. If only the rest of the administration was vetted as well, LOL! And what does she mean she almost fainted? Elaborate please!

After all the crap that happened with Harriet Myers, I would have been surprised if she DIDN'T get vetted like she did by Obama's crew.

If a U.S. Supreme Court Justice needs help picking out their clothes the last place they should be sitting is on the U.S. Supreme Court.
If I were Sotomayor and the White House did this to me I certainly would be insulted. Is there anything Obama's administration doesn't want to run?
Is it so wrong that they picked out an outfit for her? I'd rather have her look like they match rather than have the feng shue not be on. And not passing a background check??? DUDE it was a PARKING TICKET!!!! I'm sure almost everyone has either had a speeding ticket, minor accident report, or even a measly parking ticket. Don't act like you all are perfect. Of course they picked it, you wouldn't want everyone talking about how they clashed the next day. If it was a bad outfit, the republicans would have harped on it for days. They picked out her suits, just like they handed the doctors white coats to wear at his staged meeting. Obama should have had a career in fashion.

I hope they remember how the republicans treated The Honorable Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor. (I love saying that, I even like the way it looks on screen!)

Was President Obama vetter as carefully as Sotomoyor? What about the Czars? Are they vetter so carefully?
Boy the hypocrisy is oozing today on the ticker. Not that long ago I recall a certain VP candidate who got busted for spending thousands of dollars on clothes. Don't recall any Republicans on here complaining about that one. At least Sotomayor bought her own clothes.
As for the vettting, maybe if that VP candidate had been vetted as Sotomayor was, she wouldn't have been unleashed on the rest of America.
Wow, someone was actually vetted for the SUPREME COURT? NO?! Thank god, finally a president who actually vets someone he chooses for such a prestigious honor. He chose a person who was more qualified than any of the current justices.
McCain can learn from this, as he and his compaign clearly never vetted Palin, and look where that ended up.
