Huckabee's book tour will take him to two crucial primary states.

(CNN) – Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will visit the key Republican primary states of Iowa and South Carolina next month during a tour to promote his new holiday-themed book.

The Fox News talk show host has planned a three-stop swing through Iowa on Nov. 8 - one day after another potential 2012 candidate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, is scheduled to speak at an Iowa Republican Party event in Des Moines.

Huckabee plans to visit book stores in Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Des Moines to promote the book, "A Simple Christmas: Twelve Stories that Celebrate the True Holiday Spirit." The former presidential candidate has returned to Iowa several times since his win in the Iowa caucuses in January 2008, most recently to raise money for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Vander Plaats.

Later that week, on Nov. 13, his book tour takes him to the conservative South Carolina upstate, where he'll sign copies of the book in Greenville and Spartanburg.

Also on Huckabee's calendar: five stops in Florida and one stop in evangelical-heavy western Michigan

I did my math for the future Presidential Elections,it dont look good for the Gop,because the Democrats wouldnot need that high percentage of White voters, because of the rise of the minority vote, for example and 1956 the Democrats needed 49.2% of the White vote to win,and 1976,they needed 47.2% to win,and 1992,they needed,44.7% to win,and 2004,they needed,43.1,to win,but and 2012,the Democrats would only need,38.5% to win,and 2016,they would only need,37%,to win,and 2024,they would need only,34.2%,to win,and by 2032,the Democrats would only need,31% of the White vote to win.the Gop is an a world of trouble, they dont have the numbers, the Gop only hope of winning in the future, is if the Democrats split their vote, thats the Gop only hope.

To Katiec

First and foremost, mainstream America shares the christian values. Huckabee is not alone in standing up for the family and for values that make us all, a better person (love and forgiveness)..

JonDie   October 23rd, 2009 5:30 pm ET

Dear Mr. Huckaby,

Get a job like the rest of us.

Emma   October 23rd, 2009 5:30 pm ET

It is so ominous that the Republicans lack a strong leader who can respond to the needs and wishes of the Americans. They seem quite delusional about their appeal (lack of it) to a majority of Americans.

ICARE   October 23rd, 2009 5:30 pm ET

I love the guy, probably because I am a conservative Christian and I understand his teachings. I would have voted for him, instead of Obama, although, I do love Obie dearly too.

God bless the guy! He seemed to be someone with guts and brains!! Huckabee is definitely not weak!

Lynn Walker   October 23rd, 2009 5:09 pm ET

I like Huck and think he would make an outstanding president. I hope he runs in 2012 – I will work hard to make sure he wins!

Ron   October 23rd, 2009 5:07 pm ET

We fight terrorists like the Taliban over seas but we forget about our own back door. Here you find Neo-Cons like Huckabee, who, will cause nothing but trouble as they seek to create the 'Christian Theocracy' they so much desire. Terrorist come in many types and religions. Huckabee & those who think like him, will only bring disaster to our Nation. They are not about unifying the country only dividing it.

cgillette369   October 23rd, 2009 4:55 pm ET

prezzie for the hillbilly nation.

Jesse in Madison   October 23rd, 2009 4:51 pm ET

because Evangelical leaders are so understanding of the fact that the rest of the world lives differently from them! as if the world needs another judgemental leader! Huckabee would be a joke!

Maria - Proud Democrat   October 23rd, 2009 4:48 pm ET

Huckabee just seems too full of himself to really care about Americans.

Steve, New York City   October 23rd, 2009 4:47 pm ET

I sure as heck don't agree with all of Mike Huckabee's policy positions . . but in VERY SHARP contrast to many on the "right," he really seems like a genuinely nice guy (who is "genuinely" concerned for his fellow Americans). . .even if those Americans are physically/culturally/ideologically different from him.

bill   October 23rd, 2009 4:46 pm ET

he needs to change his name before we can take him seriously. Mike just won't do.

amy   October 23rd, 2009 4:46 pm ET

Forget it, Huckabee. You have shown your true bigoted ideals. You have already risen to your highest potential.

Southerner   October 23rd, 2009 4:43 pm ET

Nice, good for you Huckabee... Although, you will never be president.

kbcart   October 23rd, 2009 4:39 pm ET

Huckabee = Charlatan.

Anyone who thinks the Flintstones was a reality show should not even be allowed to RUN for president.

The Party of No = The Party of Nobody   October 23rd, 2009 4:39 pm ET

How about health insurance reform, Hick-abee?? Wouldn't that REALLY show the meaning of "christian values" and therefore the true meaning of Christmas??? Just another hypocrite trying to get over.

John   October 23rd, 2009 4:35 pm ET

Sanford, Wilson, Graham and now Huckabee. – YOU LIE !!
Birds of the Same Feather Flock Together.
These guys are Cheaters, Yellers and Racists.

aberger   October 23rd, 2009 4:32 pm ET

KATIEC, don't look now its the dangerous Christians!!! Give me a break, I suppose you are going to tell me now that I cling to my religion and guns too since I live in Iowa. Those pro lifers sure are scary you don't have to tell me twice. As for Fox news, the liberals should stop pissing themselves when they hear someone contradict King Obama. Its Obama's white house that fears the system of checks and balances. Its obvious that the fear of Fox news comes from the White House's fear of confrontation with its failed policies, Perhaps the White House fears questioning when it comes to the radical left wing behaviors of its staffers, two of which claiming that the world trade centers where blown up by our own government. I guess I'm just an angry white guy racist though since I didn't vote for Obama and all.

once upon a horse   October 23rd, 2009 4:30 pm ET

JF   October 23rd, 2009 4:19 pm ET

Who honestly gives a rat's pitootie??

Fred   October 23rd, 2009 4:15 pm ET

I really like this Huckabee guy, if for no other reason than getting the liberals in a frothing-at-the-mouth frenzy.

ThinkAgain   October 23rd, 2009 4:12 pm ET

Huckabee does not understand that our country is a nation of laws, founded upon the principles and ideals stated in the U.S. Constitution and its Amendments.

In particular, he does not understand the First Amendment which clearly spells out a separation of church and state:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

Huckabee wants to change the United States into a "Christian" theocracy.

This is very un-American, and obviously makes him completed unqualified to be president.

C. Farrell, Houston, Tx   October 23rd, 2009 4:10 pm ET

A joke.

We Won Get Over It   October 23rd, 2009 4:07 pm ET

All these different and many republicans running around campaigning for republican candidates. They are having a fit because Obama is doing the same. Of course he is the president, but darn it I seem to remember bush burnt up the airwaves campaigning and fund raising. So shut up republicans about Obama you are doing the same.

Rosebud   October 23rd, 2009 4:04 pm ET

C-I-N-O Conservative in name only... its a front. What ever happened to conservation? These neo-cons are no better than the Taliban.

Moderate Democrat   October 23rd, 2009 4:04 pm ET

Executives at Fox have had such success with their news segment, it has prompted them to pursue a new series. Watch for "Lie to Me" coming this season! Unlike their news, however, the story lines are more believable!

Garland   October 23rd, 2009 3:59 pm ET

Gee, why don't we just all run for an office, then we can write a book and make millions! Another thing, if Huckabee is an ex preacher, why doesn't he care about Health Care for all? Isn't that the Christian thing to do? He has been bought by the GOP!

Grandma Jo   October 23rd, 2009 3:59 pm ET

I am from Iowa – my opinion is you should stay home.

Anonymous   October 23rd, 2009 3:59 pm ET

JEAN - ATL   October 23rd, 2009 3:48 pm ET

Just what they need in SC, another intolerant conservative voice.

katiec   October 23rd, 2009 3:45 pm ET

Noticed he is going to states that support the radical right wing religious extremists.
And, he works for FOX. That says it all.
